Pulseway is the absolute best monitoring solution out there!
Reviewed on 2017/07/28
Pros
I began using Pulseway as PcMonitor a few years ago. I had been using another product that was hard to configure and prone to so many false alarms it was useless. Then I found Pulseway and the whole game changed. Pulseway is priced fairly – my previous solution was SO expensive and the support spotty. The Pulseway software is easy to configure and can be accessed securely from pc or smartphone. Critical functions like restarting services , rebooting machines and even access to a command line can be done remotely. I get the right warnings directly to my phone or desktop wherever I am. I was on the beach in Maui over Christmas and one of my servers had a problem with a service that needed to be restarted – with other monitoring products I would have had to go back to my room, start up my laptop, hope to get wifi and vpn connection and RDP directly to the problem machine. Pulseway allowed me to clear the alert, check the status of the server and restart the service (Apache Tomcat) from my chair on the beach and not miss a minute of my children’s surfing lesson.
Our organization has embraced this software. I recommended this to a colleague who had a critical scheduling server running multiple tasks via task scheduler. Due to service account limitations the server would log out the account every weekend. My colleague installed Pulseway and was able to keep the server signed in while we pursued a permanent solution and now has multiple servers on his own account.
Cons
I have yet to find a serious downside to this product. It is truly amazing and just works well. Well worth the low cost.

Overall support and services and all things Pulseway work very well. I've not had issues and they are continuing to release new and improved features regularly which do benefit the MSP space.
Pros
I like the support and integrations and the ability to also do automations.
Cons

For the price, you have workarounds. It does havea learning curve, and will take you time to get used to the way Pulseway does things. Sometimes its seems wacky the way things work. They offer decent support and most questions get resolved. Good think is they are always fixing issues, and updating the features. Saving money with Pulseway was our draw to it. Very happy with the way it offers many of the features in solutions costing 5 times the price. No commitment, no contract pricing let us play with it and decide without worry. Enjoy the professional layout.
Pros
It does take time to learn. It has many features, many modules and lots to offer. The price is the draw to Pulseway, as it is much cheaper than the leader in the RMM and MSP industry. They offer full managed support for servers, which if your an MSP, you will see the value there. The cost per server is low enough to make it profitable and give you access to network and server engineers at a low cost. The sales and marketing feature has lots of potential. The dashboard feature for systems is one the best.
Cons
Workflow and process flow is confusing. Needs a better one dashboard solution for everything and not having to jump to differnet modules. The integrated help desk, has issues and needs better integration with the RMM. Overall it needs a better workflow process.

Overall, I've been very happy and at ease using Pulseway's platform. The fantastic UI and app support are great for IT workers who are on the go and can't always sit down at a workstation. Over time, I have seen small improvements that make things easier every year. For instance, the new device management page, where you can run a script or workflow on a single workstation rather than manually creating a new scope beforehand, is very handy. From my calls with my Pulseway manager and the various webinars explaining different integrations and features, I'm happy to see that the Pulseway team continues to innovate and improve the platform.
Pros
The platform is very accessible for SMBs to set up and use. I have only had to call support a handful of times for help over the years I've used the platform. The UI and mobile support are fantastic. When I first started, I had trouble getting quotes from other RMMs because of my low user count. I am truly thankful to Pulseway for making things easy for me. The pricing is very competitive from what I've seen, and this is also appreciated. As someone with a multi-faceted role where I can't spend all my time working solely on security, I appreciate the ease of use and polish that Pulseway brings. Pulseway's support personnel who conduct quarterly or annual calls, along with their general support, are fantastic and very knowledgeable about the product.
Cons
Pulseway, like any good RMM, comes with full PowerShell access to a single workstation or the entire fleet of workstations through a script or workflow. I wish they had more ready-to-use scripting templates for advanced IT tasks. I have noticed that they have released some nice reporting and script templates since I last checked. Their integrated remote desktop solution for accessing user machines could use some more polish. Additionally, I wish there were more dashboard templates to show other metrics.
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway
At the beginning my user count was lower, some RMM's minimum was 50 seats. Other solutions were harder to use or had a weak point that I couldn't get past.Response from MMSOFT Design

Overall, Pulseway has been an integral part of my management of 300 endpoints, providing a feature-rich platform that saves time and ensures operations run smoothly. Its consistent development and adaptability make it a reliable choice for businesses that prioritize cybersecurity and need robust automation features.
Despite the remote control limitations, Pulseway has proven itself invaluable for my IT operations. If you're looking for an RMM solution that continues to evolve, values customer feedback, and excels in areas like patch management, Pulseway is an excellent choice. The dedication to improvement and community-driven development sets it apart in the RMM landscape.
The only reason I'm not giving a 10/10 is due to the remote control experience. If that gets resolved, it would be a perfect score.
Finally, I've been a customer for two years and am currently in a new 36-month agreement, if that provides some context.
Pros
Pulseway is truly a fantastic Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) product, and I strongly believe it stands at the top of its class. One of its greatest strengths is the constant development and improvement. The rate at which they are introducing new features and enhancing the product is impressive—comparing the Pulseway of this year to last year is like comparing night and day.
Another standout feature is their patch management automation. In an era where Cyber Essentials certification is crucial for many businesses, Pulseway offers the strongest patch management system in the market. The automation capabilities streamline updates and reduce manual intervention, making it a vital tool for keeping systems secure and compliant.
Their openness to community feedback is refreshing. You can request features, and the developers genuinely listen to user suggestions!! This level of responsiveness shows that they value their customers and are committed to improving based on real-world use cases. A must in my opinion.
Cons
While Pulseway excels in many areas, the one significant drawback is the remote control experience. Having switched from Splashtop, I’ve found it quite challenging to adjust, as Splashtop offers a superior user experience in terms of stability and usability.
One specific issue is with multi-screen support. Pulseway’s current implementation of multiple monitor support is subpar, forcing all remote monitors into a single screen. This setup is awkward and hampers productivity. It would be far more practical if they allowed each monitor to open as a separate window, similar to how Splashtop handles it. The ability to remote into multiple devices and full screen each one across different monitors is also something I miss dearly. Currently, Pulseway only allows full screening of one remote session on the default monitor, which feels quite limiting. Addressing these issues would significantly improve the remote control experience.

Overall Pulseway has done exactly what we wanted, by providing a professional system for monitoring and managing our IT systems remotely. As I run a small business I don't have the time to individually check machines, so the peace of mind knowing that I will be alerted of a problem is great. Automation is also a great benefit.
Pros
Pulseway allows us to easily manage our IT systems whether they are out on deployment or based in our office. The integration with Slack allows notifications to easily be sent to groups of people highlighting to us potential issues before they become more severe and cause downtime. The iOS app is also very handy, allowing me to see the status of any computers on the go.
Knowing that Pulseway can grow with the business provides nice peace of mind as I don't feel like I'm investing in a system that I will some day have to replace.
The integration of BitDefender has been a great help too.
Cons
I'm not an IT engineer or expert in IT management so I found that there was a fairly steep learning curve. I'm more knowledgeable than the average person but kept getting stuck navigating the web portal, especially at the start. The menu system isn't as intuitive as it should be in my opinion. I think there should either be a "simplified mode" for people who just want to get started with organising their IT systems but don't need all the advanced features.
Another note is that I find the difference in features available for managing Windows vs Mac clients to be disappointing. For example, you can't automatically install BitDefender via Pulseway on a Mac you have to go into the BitDefender client.

Overall, very happy thus far. working pretty well. We're able to monitor systems remote at any time. We're able to pull device info, set policies, run scripts, etc.
Pros
The Web UI Dashboard is very user-friendly, probably the most user-friendly system I have worked on in a long time...
Cons
We rely a lot on the Remote Control system to remote through so our users in remote sites. For a while we have been struggling with the lag when connecting, This was purely as a result of the Remote control server connection which gave us a very high ping. Fortunately, recently Pulseway has setup a relay server locally which should hopefully reduce the lag, therefore the ping times should drop, which should improve the connections.
Another issue, we have a Bitdefender license for all our systems, currently have an issue where Pulseway does not correctly reflect that Bitdefender has been loaded on a system, but BitDefender does show that the system is running Bitdefender(Status: Install Failed). Hopefully you guys can take the feedback and look at that for us to make sure the sync is successful all around...

My experience with Pulseway has been nothing less than awesome! The team at Pulseway has been quick and helpful if we do experience an issue. I feel the Pulseway team understands the importance their role plays in the daily success.
Pros
We currently use PSA, RMM, and IT Glue through Pulseway. The most helpful feature is that all three applications integrate into each other, Azure and on-prem Active Directory. These products are easy to use and navigate once everything has been set up. We use all three of these systems daily, and the RMM mobile application helps us keep tabs on the systems when we are not in the office. The few times we've had to reach out to support, we received fast and helpful responses and solutions usually within a day.
Cons
It's tough to identify a downside of Pulseway. If I had to be picky, it would be that we cannot do everything in the mobile application that we can do with the web version of RMM. I understand it's tougher to fit all those features into the mobile application but if I HAD to choose something to make better.

Used the product for years on the Pro version, until I was forced into a non-optional upgrade to the Teams plan. The forced transition process could not have been more poorly planned on the part of Pulseway, and burned me bad enough that I migrated all of my endpoints to a different product. If you start out on the Teams plan perhaps you'll have a better result, just pray that they don't decide to forcibly change you to something new or different a few years down the line.
Pros
Custom scripts, cross-platform compatibility, custom alerts
Cons
Core Pulseway software is excellent and reliable. Some of the peripheral things are less than stellar. The AV integration feels just a bit janky (Kaspersky in particular), and difficult to deploy custom whitelists and exclusions that work.

Pulseway has gotten better and continues to improve on their service offering. They have partnered with Webroot for antivirus and security training and Unitrends for backup. Both services we use and neither has let us down. I highly recommend Pulseway and we are very happy with their service. Give them a test drive and see for yourself how admin friendly they are.
Pros
We have been using Pulseway for 3 years system wide. Our IT team has until this year consisted of just me to support 14 sites. Most of my sites are relatively close with my closest at 1 mile and furthest 90 miles away. But I have one site in Colorado and another in Florida. Pulseway lets me manage all sites seamlessly. With their recent addition of 3rd party software updating, it is a more complete offering that makes our jobs so much easier.
Their phone app is what sold me on Pulseway and continues to provide the best remote tool that I’ve ever seen.
Cons
I come from a small MSP consulting background where we tried several different RMMs & PSAs but ended up using Continuum for our main system. I’ve also used SolarWinds in the past, Pulseway handles most of the tasks that Continuum and SolarWinds do, not 100% yet, but the few parts that are left out is room for improvement and growth.

All those moments in which we were slaves of our teams where our presence was necessary, with the acquisition of Pulseway has been forgotten, because with this excellent tool we can monitor and control all activities presented by the teams and servers of the company from any mobile device. There are many occasions that we have avoided major inconveniences to hardware and software for our sastifaccion.Me I like the particularity that this system has to be able to integrate amounts of third-party services, among which we can mention are Zandesk, Slack, Pagger Duty, etc, that can expand solutions that help to obtain greater value of infrastructure management services.
Pros
The installation of Pulseway in our equipment was very simple, we also delight with its user interface. This system has kept us aware of all the activity that can present our servers at all times, as we are always receiving notifications in advance, with this platform we have no problems in browsing files, operate maintenance windows, manage network connectivity and much more. We can monitor and control operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Mac, as well as any other applications if we use the monitoring API. It has a mobile application for IOS and Android devices, which means that we can track and manage all IT resources remotely, in the same way to advanced automation, so we do not have to spend a lot of time on routine tasks, copies security and security controls, etc.

Overall, it's central to my daily management of servers, and allow me to do so without spending my life parked in front of a computer screen.
Pros
As the numbers of servers, and their locations that I manage has grown, Pulseway has fitted in nicely to make this easier and simpler, instead of managing multiple VPNs, having to be sat in front of a computer, or open firewall ports for access, Pulseway puts control of all of them in the same place, with easy access.
I've always used it mobile first, from alerting me to problems, or letting me manage servers anywhere I am, from problem solving (it's running slow) to out of hours updates or issue spotting (offline), the mobile access makes it much less intrusive.
Cons
The web portal makes up for most/any of the shortcomings of the mobile app (eg. the smaller screen size), so improvements on this have been a big bonus.
If there were one downside it would be support, they're friendly and fast, but I've always felt they blame me first, rather than look inward.

It is really handy having the ability to run Powershell scripts without disturbing the end user. Sometimes I have been able to resolve issues without even remoting in by just running a PS script in the background.
I'll be interested to try out the Android MDM once it's implemented, currently only works for Apple
Pros
It's easy to use and just works, I have had minimal issues and where there has been issues support has been responsive in resolving the issues.
Cons
Sometimes the remote-control software bugs out/clunky but it has gotten better in some aspects since we've been using Pulseway e.g. It now re-connects to a computer without having to start a new remote session

Cons
I have very little to criticize about this system, except for the mobile app, which occasionally forgets that I’m logged in. It’s a minor inconvenience, but overall it doesn’t take away from the system's otherwise exceptional performance and reliability.
