Better management of our service department.

Pros

First and foremost, it is integrated with our Dynamics GP software which is a must for us. It also does very well all parts of service management : Service calls, Service contracts, ...

Cons

Some components (such as mobile workers) can become very expensive. With the Dynamics GP integration, it is a complex solution which takes knowledgeable people to deploy and maintain.

Pros

KEY2ACT functionality for Job Cost Accounting and Field Service Managemernt is robust overall and it's integration with Dynamics GP is a plus.

Cons

KEY2ACT Consultants are a hit or a miss. you don't know if you have a good one until it is too late. Even though the functionality is overall robust it is still limit in addressing industry specific needs. These industry specific needs often require expensive customization with the product.

Key2Act, formerly Wennsoft, has an ok GP based product but this is on their CRM product - which is not good

This unfortunately gave Dynamics CRM a bad name which is does not deserve. It truly comes down to the partner and this one and the solutions cannot be trusted.

Pros

Key2Act used to be a great standup firm that would stand behind it's product, provide solid solutions and be visionairy. When they transitioned to Key2Act and changed ownership, it changed the culture and product dramatically.

Cons

Since changing to Key2Act, we turned off the CRM based solution not only because they could not code or support it any longer but also, they completely lost interest. Gone are the phrases of being a partner and doing this together and only, how much is our budget to do anything. They have become very disappointed and from the others on the same product, have abandoned and removed it aswell.

Integration of job cost module and MS Great Plains.

Pros

Tightly integrates job modules to Great Plains as well as mobile products that are not part of the Microsoft GP package. Service packs, hot fixes and tiered support levels are fast and effective. This vendor works well with their client base.

Cons

This vendor has went through a few organizational changes in the past several years.

Pros

The software is fairly intuitive and easy to use. We have had this product for over 8 years now and the employees at KEY2ACT are like family.

Cons

In most recent years, the software releases seemed to be rushed and while adding features, seemed to be to the detriment of other features. They have since been purchased by a company that has helped them to refocus the product - a major plus!

Pros

WennSoft is very dedicated to their clients. You are able to have dialog and influence on how they develop the product for end users.

Cons

Occasionally, it can be a challenge getting a resource for support. WennSoft has committed significant resources and money to eliminate this concern.

This is awesome product!

Pros

Its great that you can use this product for preparing your reports , locating your items and more ,It has options beyond your imaginations .

Cons

Its a little bit cost for your company before you can use this product on your mobile phones . Other that than its great!

Pros

Product works well for Percent of Completion calculations

Cons

The product is very inflexible - we can't change billing rates once an invoice is posted... on a cost plus job, we can change the billing amounts at invoice time...
