A great alternative to Adobe…much more user friendly and affordable.
Pros
Bluebeam has better features and is easier to use than Adobe. The cost is much less when you consider payments are not indefinite.
Cons
Nothing bad to report. Bluebeam is far superior to Adobe. So far we have not found any flaws in the software.

With a production factor of this software is amazing and that would highly recommend it for anybody who marks up documents as a team especially. I would be cautious the program loses connectivity often enough to where it affected our workflow. Uncertain days nobody in the office. Could do anything for an hour or two because their server is having issues and it would constantly keep disconnecting.
Pros
It completely replaced printing documents for review in our office. I like all the editing capabilities and how well you can have your entire team edit a document live even if they're working remotely. The sessions feature is amazing.
Cons
The worst feature about it is that it is cloud hosted so whenever you lose connection your dot turns red and it's not super noticeable. And if you happen to close the program while it's offline, you lose all your changes.

Review of Bluebeam Revu
Reviewed on 2024/05/20
Pros
What I like most about Bluebeam Revu is its in depth capability for project review. Software complements well for horizontal construction plans with options for markups and collaboration. Also, allows for PDF conversion for drawings.
Cons
Least likeable feature is the limited technical support and customer support if there is a software issue. It may take some time to resolve the issue before it is up and running again. Also, opening / printing files may take some time.

I have been using Bluebeam for 6 months now and it have improved my estimating experience. I can perform accurate take offs of projects 3 times faster than when I was doing it manually. It´s totally worth it if you´re a general contractor and recommended for any other person involved in cost management.
Pros
I like how easy to use is. The interface resembles a pdf reader but it will allow you to annotate, quantify and read drawings in an incredible way. You always need the experience behind the estimation but Bluebeam allows exponential growth
Cons
Bluebeam becomes another fixed cost you need to compensate when you´re creating your estimates. You can absolutely not use it, but if you have 10 or 20 projects to review it´s worth it. For smaller businessess and subcontractors it might not be necessary.

Very good, just disappointed it's no longer available on mac. It was by far the best for everything we do as a company and now we can't use it.
Pros
The take off function and ability to add comments was extremely useful
Cons
The licensing expired on Mac, so new employees are unable to use the software which is a huge issue as we had three members of the commercial department using Bluebeam and we had to change when another three employees joined the team as we can't collaborate unless all on same software.

I really like Bluebeam. I hope I like it as much when I am not able to save a print through SolidWorks and will need to press a few more buttons to view it.
Pros
Bluebeam is super easy, user friendly. As our part designs change, therefore requiring print changes, we have the capability to use the tools offered in Bluebeam to markup changes, highlight, and add text explaining revisions so everyone is on the same page as to what/why a change occurred and if it effects fit, form or function.
Cons
No dislikes, really. We recently upgraded our SolidWorks® and am finding that Bluebeam will not be connecting/compatible with SolidWorks® any longer. That is not horrible as we can save prints other ways and still read them in Bluebeam Revu.

Streamlining Construction Projects with Bluebeam
Reviewed on 2023/04/19
Pros
Bluebeam is an exceptional software solution that offers a wide range of benefits for construction professionals and project managers. One of its most notable features is the ability to perform takeoffs from PDF files, which can be a time-consuming and labor-intensive task when done manually. Bluebeam makes it easy to perform takeoffs from PDF files, allowing users to accurately calculate the quantities of materials required for a project. This can help to reduce errors and ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
Cons
Some users have reported performance issues with Bluebeam, such as slow processing times or crashes. While these issues are not common, they can be frustrating when they do occur.

This application is one of the most important things we found
Reviewed on 2023/02/16
Pros
This app is a lifesaver, it helps us making take-off from PDF plans that cannot be converted to AutoCAD or any DWG software and making estimates for those plans. It is easy to use, cheap and helps you in the right direction. It saves time because in the past we had to redraw those plans in AutoCAD to make take-off.
Cons
This application saves us many times, so I don't have any problem with this software.

Cons
Edit function is not user-friendly. We can edit a text by using this software, but it is not userfriendly. Some practice is required to edit something smoothly.
