Powerful program with ability to capture and organize

Pros

Great for moderate to large size offices and clinics with sufficient training time and resources, staff to make utilizing the features possible.

Cons

Many features and choices/options can sometimes create a significant learning curve which can take extensive training time

Pros

Multiple reports available. All in the cloud so can store as much as you want.

Cons

Initial set up takes awhile and then the hand holding is done. Sometimes have glitches getting some insurance companies claims to go through and asking for help can be cumbersome.

Pros

I like the appointment scheduler. It is very easy to manipulate between patient visits and collecting co-pays

Cons

The billing functionality. It can be very time consuming and difficult to understand some of it features. The dashboard does not agree with the management reports.

I SCHEDULE SURGERY SO I LIKE HOW EFFICENT AND FAST SCHEDULING ACTUALLY IS. I can look up a patient in a fast effective way if they are calling regarding their surgery. I can reschedule them easily as well. I can see all the information I need quickly about a patient. Their demographics, insurance etc.

wHEN YOU OCCAINSINAL HAVE A BUG IN THE SYSTEM LET US KNOW ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF GETTING OUR IT DEPARTMENT INVOLVED FIRST.

Pros

Easy to maneuver around. Like that you have options to use for different tasks, such as posting payments, posting charges. I can use one way to get through fast and easy and/or
another way to be more detailed if needed.

Cons

Sometimes, not often, have some issues with the eRemittance posting payments. I really have no other complaints. We are still using the Practice Management software to date, so cannot comment on the newer version.

Easy to use once you learn it. New things come out all the time that enhances the functionality of the software.

Having to watch videos to learn
Sometimes support is not eager to log into your system to assist, even when you have done everything possible before you make the phone call to support

Pros

It's visually appealing, which makes it easy to be able to handle multiple schedules at once. I like the appointment confirmation checklist with all of the options to document what occurred.

Cons

I have had issues with tracking payments of patients. I also do not like having to jump between the PM and EMR. I would like to have both in one.

Pros

It's easy to use. Newcomers are able to jump right in. Customer support is phenomenal! I like that we can customize reports to our particular practice.

Cons

The updates were met with opposition, but we're getting used to them! Sometimes the accounting component feels like it was not written by someone with an accounting background.

Ability to view a physician's entire weekly schedule at once and detailed information displayed on
carrier A/R reports.

Cons

Unresolved glitches, not able to pull up more than three patients, and users do not have the ability to run customized reports with personalized field options.

AMD is a great tool for any office!

Pros

I love how easy to navigate the software is. Lots of additional features to use to pull reports and really get down to the nitty gritty of the practice if need be.

Cons

Besides the occasionally "bugs" AMD overall is great. Customer service is always quick to try to find a solution.

Pros

The software has a lot of good features, like the ability to have multiple patients open at the same time, a helpful collections module, descent analysis reports, an integrated EHR/PM, and the patient portal.

Cons

Access to a simple report. They have analysis reports, but you have to pay them extra to get simple reports, like a patient payment report for a date other than the current date. Also, if a patient wants to see their itemized account history for tax purposes, the report is too complicated. They don't offer a true customized reports module, so you have to pay them extra money to obtain a report someone else may have requested, plus a monthly maintenance fee (they've got to be kidding). Their customized reports module is an additional rate per provider, not per practice, and you cannot modify any reports that already exist in the system to better fit your needs. I've brought my complaints about reports up to them multiple times, but they obviously feel they don't need to improve this feature. They always tell me no one else complains; however, every one of my billing clients complains.

Issues pertaining to account set up sometimes are difficult to locate and then to resolve. We have had a couple of those issues so far and some of them are still been worked on by AdvancedMD

Pros

Ease of use and I do like, for the most part, the F1 help button feature. It allows me to get answers to an issue I am having fairly quickly.

Cons

It seems to be slowing down. I don't have enough time at my job to do research to see if I could be doing something that is quicker or saves time. Our training was very limited.

I find the software to be comprehensive and generally easy to use. I like the favorites capability for frequently used reports. The more I use it - the more I find it can do.

Cons

It's not always easy to find information on what I need it to do - which is where the exceptional Customer Service representatives come in. They're able to resolve any/every issue I have/had.

I don't love this software yet, I'm trying. I feel like although I got training I'm learning it all on my own.

Cons

frustrating that you cannot pull up the last viewed patient and when scheduling a pt it automatically pulls the pt in the left column rather than let you choose a different pt right away.

Pros

We have the PM only; we're not going to EHR. It's great to have financial info at your fingertips when reception is scheduling or patients have a question. It's relatively inexpensive, and the contract is only for six months.

Cons

It's not customizable, and a lot of things that we would think would be standard are not. We've not been pleased with the customer learning support at all! Their online help desk rarely has an answer. Everyone says to "see the Help info," which is useless and why we call. For what we pay, it's okay presently.

Pros

I like the accessibility of information all in one place and the ease of posting EFT payments. The initial training was very helpful, and the trainer was exceptional.

Cons

Ongoing support has not been very helpful. The F1 (Help) key does not answer specific questions; it only gives the same information that I can find in the manual. Telephone support has been able to answer some questions quickly, but at other times, they were as confused as I was and directed me back to the F1 key.

Pros

I find this scheduling software very easy to learn and use. I especially like the accessibility of the ADP app for my phone to access my schedule on the go.

Cons

What I like least is that I cannot schedule patients through my app; I have to be at a computer.
