It has been great! I've really enjoyed Klaviyo and think that it is the strongest ecom email platform on the market for Shopify merchants. The customization of emails is relatively easy, it has robust feature sets for additions like reviews and sms, and their flows are a hugely important piece to generate passive income. I'd recommend Klaviyo as long as the person onboarding new tools understood how pricing structure works.

Pros

We like to ability to have a strong integration with Shopify and how easy it is to sync lists between other platforms and Klaviyo.

Cons

The hardest things about Klaviyo are understanding pricing around profiles, and how to justify the growing cost of the platform when competitors are starting to flank them on pricing vs features.

Great ecommerce focused email marketing platform

Pros

its huge amount of integrations with a range of ecommerce platforms, specifically in our case the tight integration with Shopify, helping us to easily import and segment customers for custom flows and email marketing campaigns

Cons

Probably the price, but its still definitely worth it and has a positive ROI

I've used it for multiple clients and it's a very powerful and reliable app. If you've got the budget - go for it. If you're on a tight budget - there are more cost-effective alternatives.

Pros

Advanced and reliable email marketing app for ecommerce. My favorite is the automation builder, I think it's the most advanced and customizable out there.

Cons

It's VERY expensive, and some features (for example, dynamic discount code creation or deleting profiles) are way too time-consuming for what they are. Such basic functions take a fraction of the time in other similar apps, but are unnecessarily awkward and complex in Klaviyo.

Great tool for small businesses

Pros

I love how Klaviyo not only focuses on triggered flows and campaigns but sms too. I like their new AI feature that helps us write better subject lines. It’s a very good integration and this AI was able to capture the essence of our branding very well in a couple tryouts.

Cons

The only think I dislike is that their campaign analytics get updated only once a day. I wish we could see a live dashboard or heat map or something.

Easy to implement, good a/b test features

Pros

Klaviyo is easy to use, implement, and set up. The customer service responded quickly, and there are tons of material to check online if you are stuck with a feature. I love the A-test features on popups and emails. Good integration with Shopify.

The review form is only in one language.

It seems that they're not focusing on ecommerce anymore and things have changed recently complicating integration. The SMS is limited. I would like there to be more customer support with setting up campaigns and flows.

Pros

It is widely used and integrates well with Shopify directly, as well as lead capture on Facebook.

Cons

The set up and management are hard. There isn't a mobile app!

There was quite a few things:
- Just the general ease of use
- Analytics
- SMS features
- Segment & List optimization
- Campaign editing and scheduling features

There's more but that's just a few.

Cons

Honestly nothing I can think of. Our experience with Klaviyo has been a very positive one.

Overall I think Klaviyo is a great product. Customer service is amazing and so readily available via chat and they do seem to possess a great degree of knowledge about the product and its functionality/capabilities. Was amazing to see our automated message flows come to life and go out to our customers!

Pros

Our product, an educational and habit-building micro-content program, required a way to send lengthy (50-100+ sends), localized, and automated flows via SMS and email to global Shopify purchasers. They were the closest platform we found to delivering as we envisioned. Customer service was very helpful in helping us find solutions to problems and aid in our solution design.

Cons

We experienced issues with contacts being overwritten when multiple sign-ups/subscriptions came through the same form. We also noticed that due to how long our flows were, the flow editor became extremely slow.

Pros

Klaviyo is very easy to use. In the beginning you are well supported to set everything up and customer service is also readily available via Chat or e-mail.
We use it mainly for email marketing. Our website is also connected to our Klaviyo account, so all customer data is automatically put into Klaviyo. So you can very easily track everything a customer does on our website.
If he put something in his basket, actually ordered something, if he opened a newsletter or not and/or clicked through or not.
Everything can be found in Klaviyo, great right?

Cons

I myself work with klaviyo most of the time, for more than a year now and so far I don't have a single disadvantage to report about it.

The functions of creating messages in automated templates with design tools for mobile devices are what I like the most, also working with automation in emails.
