Overall, we enjoy the software. We wish we could customize more things within the software, such as certain reports. A help menu would also be a welcome addition. However, we do like that we can have multiple levels of access so each employee has what they need but do not have access to unnecessary features as we see fit. Would cautiously recommend this software.

Pros

I love the features available within this software, it is exactly what we needed to begin paperless record keeping with our clients. We like all of the reports we can run & the overall look of the software is great.

Cons

I don't enjoy having to create a "support ticket" to ask simple questions, a HELP website would be great. Often we get a response that "the development team is working on it" when we bring up an issue. Some of the features within AestheticsPro are faulty & need to be updated.

So far Aesthetics Pro provides me more quality features for the price of the service. as long as this system continues to evolve it will continue to be a valuable and integral part of my business.

Pros

I love the form creator and that I can attach forms to specific services. I also love the card on file to reserve appointments

Cons

I want the weekly view calendar to be like MINDBODY! I want to be able to assign a color to each service and I want to have each one showing on the weekly calendar and it want it to be like the daily calendar where they are positioned on the schedule based on the time of the service. I would also love to see you guys knock off MINDBODY's reports! I want to be able to filter reports right in the program not have to export to excel to cut and slice them.

MBO was charging me an insane amount of money monthly for features that my business did not need or use. even during covid when esthetic businesses were shut down for almost a year. MBO did not waive or lower our fee. they just held off on raising the prices for a few more months and forced us to take on a new feature that only fitness studios would use.

AP was geared more toward esthetics businesses and it had features that I wanted like hippa compliant forms and the ability for clients to fill them out at home. most other software is made for other types of businesses so its often not fully functional for esthetic businesses.

Pros

They did a good demo and are great at getting people to believe in their software.

Cons

I had a very disappointing experience with Aesthetics Pro. From the start, their system was not user-friendly, and I encountered numerous issues with my charting. My charts were messy and not in chronological order, making it difficult to keep patient records organized. Accessing consent forms was particularly challenging, as I had to dig through the system just to confirm they were even there. These were only a few of the issues that I encountered. There were many more.

I was with Aesthetics Pro for only one month before deciding to leave due to these issues. The transition was horrible—Aesthetics Pro was not helpful, and they created many hurdles for me to terminate my contract. Despite their resistance, I was finally able to end my relationship with them.

However, the most concerning issue was their refusal to provide my EMR records once I terminated my contract. Despite federal laws and HIPAA regulations that require a software company to make these records accessible to healthcare providers, Aesthetics Pro informed me they could not fulfill this request. This is a clear violation of federal regulations, and their unwillingness to comply is unacceptable.

Overall, Aesthetics Pro was extremely difficult to work with, and I would not recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable and compliant system for managing patient records.

Can’t 2 way text this would be a great addition - look at Textline as a model. You could just pass the name and phone number.

It is well thought out to support a busy Aesthetic medical practice. The videos for customizing the system are super helpful to get the most out of the comprehensive features. Customer support is responsive and informative to provide solutions that I couldn't navigate on my own.

Cons

The connection to credit card processing Clover device hasn't worked as reliably as I would like so I have to use the terminal directly or Virtual Terminal on Gravity Payments. I have had a few times when AP system went down all together with a full patient schedule and had to make do until the system came back up. Unable to get individual patient records in a simple download if and when I retire.

It has been very pleasant so far and loving the connection from [sensitive content hidden] and the rest of the team when I have a question or a problem. It is definitely better than our old booking system which was Booker. I like how it tracks everything as well.

I really like the layout and all the functions that Aesthetics Pro has to offer. I am very please with our rep [sensitive content hidden] as she has always been there for me when I need her and checks up on me as well. She is very helpful and super nice to work with.

Cons

I am still learning they system. One thing I don't really care for is the deposits. I am still learning how to do it and it seems like a few steps I need to take, but then again I haven't messed with it much. I don't like how the credit card system is not capable to our wifi and I have to go in manually and input the information in and from what I am hearing I need to hard wire it, but it looks like it is hardwire already from what our tech tells us so not sure how to bypass that. It also takes a long time for the machine to take a payment and then I have to go into our IQ account to make sure that the payment was taken.

I chose AestheticsPro because of the reviews written about how great their customer service is. Their customer service is indeed excellent! The rest is bonus! They continuously improve the software and make updates. The new version Aurora is AMAZING! Now we have a true mobile app and that has been a game changer! I highly recommend AestheticsPro!

1. Customer service it top notch! Just when I thought customer service, let alone excellent customer service, no longer existed. The AestheticsPro team continuously exceeds my expectations!

1. I love AestheticsPro (AP), however, it would be nice if some of the features, for example the client review option, was included in the price or at least be less than it actually cost. AP is not the most expensive, but not the least either. Some competitors include features such as the client reviews in their subscription price. the cost begins to add up and can make it a bit much, especially when starting out as a newer business.

One of the great things about AP is the customer support. There are a plethora of videos available that help with issues you may have, and if you need more help you put in a support ticket and receive a response in no more than a couple of hours. Compare this to other platforms I have used where customer support would literally take weeks to get back to you and usually with a canned response that didn't answer your question.

Pros

*Easy to set up and very user friendly
*Easy to use in day to day operations for inventory, billing, photography, charting, tracking profits, etc.
*The cost is UNBEATABLE

Cons

We have one location, I have no experience with how AP works across multiple locations, but I believe it can be set up for that as well.

Doesn't have medical friendly attributes ie. labs, Smart keys for SOAP notes, the ability to populate a patient's records into their next visit ( we do weight loss in our clinic, our current EMR populates their previous data we take on vitals to the next visit automatically)

It is user friendly. They are very prompted about answering questions.

Cons

You can't pick and choose what days off you want to have. Your schedule can't be changed very easily as to when you are open, but they do make it where clients can request appts which is nice. You can't edit/delete documents once they are created.

Today's training session was great. Having the training sessions recorded is necessary because there is a lot of information. I think it is best for the trainers to make some changes as they walk you through the process and leave the changes that you approve.

Pros

[sensitive content hidden] was very helping setting up certain items. He did not just make suggestions and undo them. He asked if I'd like to make changes and he did them as we moved through the training. Therefore, I did not have to waste time returning and making those changes.

Cons

There were no cons with [sensitive content hidden] I do not like having different people walking me through the training sessions. But in this case, it worked out well because the second trainer was better than the first in my opinion.

It is remarkably cumbersome, needing excessive clicks. For instance, when an appointment form comes up, why not automatically have the cursor in the name space? When checking out, when you have to click at the left, why does one have to click the words, why not the entire bar including the word?

I admire their ability NOT TO FIX flaws by saying" that is a very good observation, we will send your suggestion to the technical folk". ANd NOTHING HAPPENS-and no follow up with me as to why.

Cons

Yearly price increases.
The teaching seminars-done by somebody talking so fast it is uncomprehensible. When I brought that to the attention of Aesthetics pro I was told," yes, we hear that all the time". So I tried another webinar, NO CHANGE! it sounds like babble still!

I stopped using the year-long subscription after 4 months, and I would get a call periodically asking me how I liked the program. I didn't think Aesthetic Pro had my best interests in mind.

Pros

I thought it was aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Cons

The IT staff made me feel stupid. I ended up using all of the templates that I created. It was cumbersome to use. In the end, I paid someone to use my own templates and since I uploaded them, now anyone can use them.

Terrible overall - way too many bugs. Support is available but slow. They lock you into a contract because they know their system is terrible.

Pros

Quick setup. Form creation is pretty straight forward.

Cons

Very buggy and limiting. They lock you into a 1 year contract - hidden in the lengthy contract they provide.
Whenever you contact support, you have a lot of back and forth. Some things take months to resolve.

Notifications are not customizable for separate services.
