Since I have connected with [sensitive content hidden] on the tech support team, I have been very pleased. She is extremely knowledgable and helpful with teaching me how to do my set up. I appreciate her patience and willingness to walk me through my set up troubles.

Pros
[SENSITIVE CONTENT] is an amazing customer care agent. He responds very quickly and is very kind and patient. He is also an expert in Hostaway and very sharp. He has helped me solve my questions or concerns on a few occasions now, and he provides excellent customer care every time. Customer care is a considerable component of any PMS so I'm thankful for Hostaway's great consistent support.
Cons
N/A. The only recomendation I have would be more automated SMS notifications to users (cleaners) such as "New Cleaning in Addition for {listing} on {checkout date}" or "Friendly Reminder of Cleaning Today {check out date (sent day of, 3 hours prior checkout)}. And also a better visual view of the calendar specifically for cleaners. Such as a monthly calender view with all the users (cleaners) assigned tasks (cleans).

We had their sales rep falsely represent the company and their software functionality to close the deal. Once we started we realized the tool does nothing he said it would.. beware as this will cost you more time and money than the “solutions” it gives. The tool has so many bugs and quirks.
The worst part is that 7 days later when we asked to cancel they kept our full onboarding fee and full subscription fee! Even tho they alnowleged they mis sold us, we had to dispute with our credit card because they went radio Silent. Bad business and bad software. Betters are out

Hostaway -- best ease of use and amazing support

Pros
I checked out probably 20 different PMS solutions, and had individual demos of about 10. Hostfully was in my top 3, here's why I went with them.
1). Easy interface, web-app enabled for 90% of what my managers need to do day to day, so it's easy to deal with on the go.
2). Top tier API integrations with the platforms I cared most about, VRBO and AIRBNB.
3). Their sales rep was really knowledgable and anything he didn't know he followed up to find out the answer. I've found that their support and onboarding team has been incredible. Shakeel, my account rep, is so responsive and knowledgable!
I am loving using this software so far and would reccomend it for anybody who is focused on the Vacation Rental business. I don't know it if it's a good fit for Hotel management, I don't think that is their primary market, but for STRs it's pretty much 5 stars all around.
Cons
Nothing that has bothered me yet. I think it would be nice if there was a bit more pricing tools and options, but if you are connecting to a third party Pricing Management solution (which I'm going to be doing soon) then it doesn't really impact your workflow.

I prefer one which allows our regional property managers, who are often on the go, to be able to handle guest communications and cleaning management while out and about from their phones. I thought Streamline looked very good for a Boutique hotel business (which is not what I do), and MyVR was probably my runner-up for my niche-- ultimately Hostfully won out for us because it had the best API integrations, knowledgable staff, clean and simple interface both desktop and mobile. I love using Hostaway

I love using Hostaway. It's not the cheapest product; however, it's nice to have all the features I want in one place instead of slapping together a few cheaper products to try to get the same result.
Pros
The thing I like most about Hostaway is the ease of use. I manage my properties while working another job, so I need automation. The automated messaging and task creation with saved checklists really saves a ton of time. My cleaner also really likes it because he can just update the cleaning tasks via the app. I really only have to answer one-off questions from guests because I'm able to seamlessly communicate everything through my automated messages.
The other great thing about Hostaway are the constant improvements and customer support. It seems there are new and improved features every month which is exciting. If there's something that could be better, it's easy to communicate with the support team and find out what I'm doing wrong or have them plan out an update. Even though the team is in a different time zone, I always get responses within 24 hours and everyone is really nice. I already love the product, but knowing that things will continually improve is what makes this product a no brainer for me to use.
Cons
The booking engine could look better. I used the WordPress plugin and don't love the overall look; however, I figured by the time guests get to that point on my website they're already very interested in booking and won't be turned off by the look.

Vacation Rental Management

Overall experience has been quite satisfying. I really like their communication when I have issues or concerns. While the PMS isn't quite what I would consider optimal or perfect, the company seems refreshingly committed to improving their product to meet the needs of the community.
Pros
Value, great bang for your buck.
A dedicated, response customer support platform (primarily email), who are responsive to concerns and suggestions.
Intuitive features that are both efficient and elegant: channel manager, calendar, and listing manager
A company that seems keen on evolving to continue providing a solid, affordable product.
Cons
A little lacking on the direct booking side (which may be more valuable to me than most). Hopefully they will add line item charges soon.
Other weak points have continually improved or been added including messaging, invoices, and other listing/channel management features. So some still exist but I imagine would be address if requested.

From the onboarding to nowadays daily use, everything has been comfortable, the support is really useful aside their help center.
Cons
Nowadays, my main issue is about a calendar feature, which is pricing rule set. Indeed, it's develop for Airbnb but not yet for our Booking Engine and Abritel. The product team seems working hard to launch this new step.
Finally, maybe the app could be a bit more develop. That's really to spot detail, my overall opinion is amazing.

The support and technology are top-notched. We did several demos on different PMS companies. What I learned is that everyone offers something different. Hands down, Hostaway has been the best fit for our needs and the customer service is nothing short of top-notch. Highly recommend them!!!

Every software is not going to have all your needs but Hostaway has worked with me, listened, and responded to all my needed request. I'd love to see automated smart responses and few other efficiencies added to the PMS but this company is passionate and committed to working with the client and I feel like a partner with this team rather than a customer. Installation Support is the best I have ever seen

Such a great use of my limited time. As the owner, I want to know what the software can do. By having one one one sessions, I am able to do that without having to depend on technical staff that may not recognize the business importance of such features.
Pros
I get to have an unlimited amount of sessions with techs that really know the system. The system has a lot of nifty features which I would never have been able to use without this wonderful onboarding process.
Cons
Minimum of 3 listings. I am paying for something I may use in the future but not right now. Although, based on my experience so far, it is well worth it.

Guesty told me I wasn't big enough for them and referred me to their new acquisition "Your Porter". I couldn't even open an account and no customer service was available. I realize Your Porter is just $12 a month per listing, but managing my AirBNB business is not where I want to save money. Tokeet seemed really complex and did not have a unified look and feel making navigation very difficult. Mislead during sales process and overcharged, refused refund

It's been a very bad start to be totally transparent. In addition to issues with the software and the overcharges, it's really been the absent support. I had to message an executive on LinkedIn to get anyone to respond. But they have no problem charging me (more than they're supposed to).
Pros
The best thing hostaway has going is it's automatic responses and integrations. With that being said, the automatic responses do NOT work on VRBO and, despite claiming to be a preferred integration partner, the process to integrate with VRBO took over 1.5 months and resulted in dozens of double bookings
Cons
1) Inability to integrate with VRBO / Booking.com 2) If you need help, forget about them answering the phone or returning your voicemail. One of the key selling points was their promise I could always get someone on the phone. It's been 2 months and I've called about a dozen times, not 1 single time has anyone answered or returned my call3) Automated messages don't work with VRBO. This was confirmed by both sides but not presented upfront. So you still have to manually monitor VRBO 4) Their accounting is VERY limited. You cannot invoice / charge / or easily track charges 5) Be VERY careful when you onboard, I had 26 properties but they charged me for 32. Not only have they refused to refund me for the extra 6 units, but they keep promising to get me in touch with a "VP" or "Manager" - it's been weeks, no one has contacted me.

We apologize for any issues you may have encountered during the sales process and for any overcharges you may have experienced. I've personally taken this issue up and have refunded the amount requested, even though the contract that was signed was at a higher amount so that we can hopefully move past this.
We take customer satisfaction very seriously and never intend to mislead or overcharge our customers, which is why we have contracts that are signed by both parties before any implementation starts so that both our customer and our team are on the same page.
In regards to Vrbo, unfortunately, at the time there was an issue on the Vrbo side that was creating a backlog for integrations. This has since been resolved and connections are now much quicker.

1.On main window there should be an option to maximize the view of calendar by hiding the left menu view.
2.On invoice there is no logo or company details coming.
4.On the web portal link there should be a print to pdf option for the booking offered for guest to print out as there are some of the corporate clients who needs to get approval from their companies or get advance payments.
5.Tax option (City tax/DTCM Tax) missing where not able to set for eg 10 AED for studio/one bed room and 20 AED for two bed room- Also not possible to set if days are more than 30 days max Tourism fee should be 30 days x10 AED
6.There should be available meeting calendar for the support based on their expertise like finance or reservations or website so we can chose correct ones.
7.On boarding crash course initial 3 days is fine . But there should be follow-up calls from support as we develop clarifications once start using the software.
8.There should be an option to send some notification for example if we want to send guest arrival info to a building security/reception. Now possible to send to guest and CC to another email.THis case we dont need to inform guest.

Hostaway has been exceptional to work with. They did not have live customer support over the phone until just recently and that has made a huge difference in my ease of handling problems

Hostaway Has Streamlined Many Aspects of My Business

Hostaway has treated me with great care and respect. Due to their commitment to their customers and the time and care, they have spent with me, and the fact that they are growing every single day despite the success level they have already reached; Hostaway is a company I plan to stay with for the rest of my vacation rental management career.
Pros
What I love most about Hostaway is the ability to organize guest info and messaging onto one platform which has enabled the fastest guest response rates of my entire career.
Cons
Many kinks in the system still as they are a younger company. But every day that I reach out to the support to report that something is either wrong with my account or something is wrong in the entire system, they immediately get to work on correcting the error no matter large. The last issue I flagged for Hostaway was something that negatively affected EVERY user of their software. They had this corrected in just a week. The most recent issue I reported was also something that affected every user and they are working hard even now to correct it in a timely manner. There may be many kinks to still work out throughout their platform, but their ability to accept my feedback to then correct it immediately makes them the company I want to stick with. They even take suggestions for additional features that a property management service can prove they need and they are currently working at developing a feature I suggested myself for Q2 2019 release!
