saves you time and money makes you more productive

Pros

very easy to use, very interactive, has all the necessary features such as tasks, notes, accounting for the trust account. navigation is so simple. I can find out whats going on with a case in seconds! Great Calendar system, set reminders and tasks and make life simple. Great for litigation deadlines. Customer service is excellent too, they address issues every time.

Cons

i can only think of one - when the tasks are assigned, there isnt a box to check off, you have to delete each task one by one. They arent the cheapest but they are the best of the best and ive used several (other than these twoi cant think of any other ones)

CasePeer is too rigid to be a viable option

Reviewed on 2021/12/03

Imagine you're shopping for a home and you come upon a new construction with great curb appeal,...

Imagine you're shopping for a home and you come upon a new construction with great curb appeal, modern amenities, and even comes fully furnished -- there's just one catch: you can't add or remove a single thing. You feel motivated to 'make it work,' but soon discover what you're really in for. Upon touring the kitchen, you notice the cupboards are brimming with tupperware, but there are no serving platters for hosting parties. Normally you'd remove some of the plastic containers and add your own dishware, but it's not possible here. When you ask the developer about it, they explain how the tupperware can be laid out and used as serving trays, and while this is technically true, it would always be a poor solution and a compromise that one shouldn't have to make.

That's kind of what it's like working with CasePeer. We recently abandoned our attempt at migration after putting in several months of trying to 'make it work' and encountering the full ramifications of overly simplistic software so rigid that nothing can be changed, combined with a developer that's equally uninterested in listening to the needs of a personal injury firm.

Specifically, CasePeer has no ability to handle PIP subrogation or third-party/workers' comp subrogation, its available insurance types are limited to UM, UIM, and Umbrella, and the list of case types is set in stone, overflowing with clutter that's irrelevant to most personal injury firms, while lacking in crucial PI options.

Pros

CasePeer has many good ideas for personal injury software, especially when it comes to tracking medical bills and record requests, but the software is too simplistic and too rigid in its current incarnation.

Cons

The backend of CasePeer is too simplistic and rigid. Everything is set in stone. Nothing can be changed. It needs a more robust backend database married to the pleasing and useful frontend.

CASEpeer's Great Value

Reviewed on 2023/11/07

Pros

Bets part of CASEpeer is thee efficent ability to have treatment and costs all compiled for you when a case is ready for settlement. You update as you go, its the assistant you had been wanting but best part is everyone gets to use the same function and be on the same page.

Cons

Cons do come with every platform, I believe there can be better user ability with the open cases under the reports tab. It takes quite some time for it to load along with the medpay features under settlement, it can get confusing.

Excellent

Excellent

Pros

The ready-made PI file management is excellent. The integrated client texting is phenomenal for keeping clients up -to-date and the warnings regarding stale cases is fantastic. Also, using the eSignature feature has been a game-changes. All-in -all fantastic product. There are few tweaks I would love to make, but still worth it.

Cons

Needs a far better NEGOTIATIONS tab/section, the settlement worksheet is not intuitive and should be able to be run without creating accounting inputs, and the cost tracking, especially for soft costs owed to the firm but not paid in advance, need to be reworked and refined. Needs to more user customizable. The calendar is also better and more robust on my prior software. Also, on a small peeve is that under UM insurance the adjuster has to be categorized as "bodily injury" instead of just UM adjuster.

Pros

ONE OF THE BEST FEATURES THAT CASEpeer has is the easy access to contact a client. Not only do we have an option to call directly or email, but it has a great feature of texting the client. Client's can be reached easier by text especially when working and not being able to answer your calls.

Cons

I would highly recommend that we can be able to send pictures thru the text app.

Tracking clients is a great problem Casepeer solves. Knowing who was called last, was their issue addressed, and if there is follow-up necessary. This has been a dream juggling a big caseload.

Pros

Adding clients, signing them up, and tracking records and bills, which is the most critical part of a PI practice has been honed with this software.

Cons

Pros

Its very easy to use, and self-explanatory.

Cons

litigation folder is really sub-par. Its not really useful at all outside of plugging in information. Deadlines are not self-calculated which is very important when it comes to trials and deadlines. It can really be better, its far too basic. Also, there is no way to get a full case list of open files - like a folder where all the open/close/etc cases can be found. You have to search by name which is ok if you have a low case count but could be an issue when there are more cases.

Over all okay, but creating tasks can be a pain. There's this error that keeps happening each time I try to auto correct while creating a task. The entire text just disappears, making me start all over again. It's just impossible to use the auto correct and predictive text function while creating tasks.

Decent case management platform - for Plaintiff's firms

Overall, we're satisfied. Not stellar, but no hatred or daily frustration.

Pros

PROS: Notes feature, document tagging, document folders, speed - can switch between tabs/look at documents/upload/download easily and quickly, easily customizable templates that make advancing a case pretty easy, reliable text messaging with clients, simplified pricing in the mid range of competitors, responsive customer service via online chat - but they are never really able to actually solve most things, just educate/train, tagging other users on a note or document assists with advancing cases and ensuring good team communication.

Cons

CONS: Lack of customization for key things like case types, always assuming the client is the plaintiff (and never the defendant, confusion for conflict checks re: deceased parties, lack of being able to identify in ALL person fields that someone is deceased/if it's related to the matter/date of death/next of kin, lack of customer input into new features, lack of communication about what CP is working on with future/coming soon upgrades, providing new features that no one cares about and not giving us ones that matter, being focused on almost nothing but car accident plaintiff cases (making it hard to adapt the platform for all case types).

Making my workday easier!

Reviewed on 2023/05/17

Pros

I like a couple features on casepeer but my favorite would be the texting feature. I really like that I don't have to use my personal phone and I don't have to always call the client for small things like asking them to sign a document I emailed to them or an address to somewhere. I also really like that when she send photos it automatically uploads to photos, it saves me a lot of time! I find CASEpeer to be very easy to use and very efficient. We use it daily in our office.

Cons

I don't like that I can't edit my notes because I'm not an admin. Sometimes I have typos and I don't like having to always ask the office manager to change it especially since she's very busy.
