There's not too many directory software so this was a very nice find.

Hard part is reaching someone when I was trying to make a purchase, but I ended up finding out what I needed hopefully.

Lots of features. Their salesmen are good at telling you all the things you want to hear. After your payment clears the bank, you learn the truth about the limitations.

Their claim to provide the source code is BS. Regardless of what they tell you, they limit access to the source code and you will spend a lot of money trying to customize the system. I believe they limit access, so they can sell you Customization Hours. The designs are way outdated and customizing is very limited. Look deeper at their examples. We fell for the initial purchase and then a follow up email for another license for super cheap, so before I could get into customizing their product, I owned two licenses (and still do, for sale by the way). On the surface, BD appears to be perfect. It is great as long as you don't need unlimited access to the code or REALLY need to customize it (not talking about changing colors). You decide.

I love how elaborate or simple you can make your directory. They set a lot of things up for you as examples, which is really helpful in getting started. The payment process for memberships is very easy, the only thing you have to worry about is having a collections process in place for failed payments.

I think the platform could be a little more user friendly, sometimes it takes a while to find the exact location you need to go to, to change a specific term on a label. An automated collections process would also be helpful, but all in all it's a pretty good platform.

Brilliant Directories offers exceptional membership directory features and functionality.

Due to the sheer number of components, setting up a BD site can be challenging for a first-timer. However, documentation and support are effective. I would also welcome more WYSIWYG design customization (some HTML/CSS editing is inevitable unless you're ok with their stock designs).

I like how easy it is. Brilliant Directories has made it so easy to manage and grow our local business network. The tools are simple to use, customizable, and save us tons of time. It’s been a great way to build real connections and add value to our community.

Makes getting a directory or membership site up and running a breeze.

Lots of add-ons and extra purchases that can add up.

The ease of getting started. I’ve built many websites in Wordpress and other cms. Brilliant Directories is the easiest I’ve found to get a site up and able to start getting subscribers.

Given my experience the platform has some limitations. That said, it seems like there are workarounds for most every hurdle I’ve come across. Ultimately, the speed of having the site up and running offsets some of the minor tweaks I can’t make easily.

The app is easy to navigate.
Documentation-wise, there is a structured guidelines on how to setup the website, popular how-tos, webinars, etc..

In terms of documentations, they have a massive number of videos and webinars and tutorials available on their YouTube channel that will guide you build your website, and will also guide you to maximize the full potential of your website in acquiring members.

The support sytem is also fantastic. I always get response from them on time.

After testing the app, I immediately upgraded to higher Tier.

The best thing is easy to create my tribe , smooth registration process ,easy Data management , best thing is that , it support webhooks and api and we integrate with other automation platforms like zapier , it as entire system is super simple and best thing is its weekly Wednesday classes that tell about updates , listen to problem and customer support is good, overall quite satisfactory with it

I enjoy knowing that I do not have to create all those automatic email forms, or the privacy policy, terms and conditions. For the most part all you have to do is add a title for your site, the logo, categories and subcategories. The site is clean in design and the best part is that it is already mobile friendly (that alone is a relief) Now, I have used some AI chat bots in my time but the one that is on the admin site is freaking awesome and by far the best I have ever dealt with, so my hats are off to whoever is the mastermind behind that thing. A very well trained AI Chat Bot!

I am a a novice website designer and I had some issues with were to start and what the next steps were. BD does a good job at providing training but does not make as easy as I assumed it should be to paint by the numbers. I was expecting a step by step guide illustrating what to do and how to do it. Now dont get this wrong, I found out how to do what I needed to do but it was not without some fustration.

I really like that everything is included, I don't need anything else other than this tool, and it is giving me all that I need to make things work. Other systems I have seen does not compare to this.

So far the only thing would be the ability to sell classes for a member to another member, but that is really specific, I'm not sure if I can do that with the tool yet.

It is very well created and streamlined.
All the features are easy to find and to apply.

Customer support is one of the best I have ever seen, both via email as well as facebook group and their chat app on the site!

There is an initial learning curve but the more you play with it, the easier it gets.
Some settings are somewhat deeply hidden, such as advanced settings, which are more than 190.

Easy to setup and well documented. Support responses are timely.

Some of the options and navigation seems quite opaque.

I like that the quality and customization options are high, but skill required to implement is quite low.

So many options... its possible to have some paralysis by analysis. If you want to be perfect and use EVERY feature, it can take a lot of time.

The way that you can quickly get your directory online, edit the website design and host on your own domain are top tier and affordable options for any small business looking to increase income and exposure.

It offers great videos on how to use. I would suggest onboarding videos that better cover setup for novices. Cover items that perhaps start at their website goals and show in reverse how to get there.
