Pros

Oh where to begin!?... This software makes it incredibly easy to write a schedule for pet sitters and for clients. The option to run repeat services saves so much time! And you can store all client and employee information in one place. Clients and employees have access to a portal to see all of their information and scheduled services. The employees can use a feedback portal to send messages and pictures instantly via e-mail to the client so they have peace of mind knowing their pets have been cared for while they are on vacation or at work. It keeps track of invoicing for clients and jobs/hours worked for employees. Invoicing and payroll take only minutes! There are so many more wonderful things, but this review could go on and on. My life, and my business, became better the moment I began to integrate this software!

Cons

It is customizable, but only to a certain degree. It can be a lengthy process to get everything set up, and it may not be exactly the way you would like it to be. I would also wish for reports to be a bit more customizable. But it all flows regardless!

I am a sole trader in Dog Training and Behaviour. I used to have to write out my invoices by hand, had a personal address book for my clients and was stuffed if I didn't have a client's details on me when I was travelling because I couldn't access them easily. Not only does PSP fix all of these issues (invoices automatically, easy client look up, access via mobile) they offer incredible, friendly and prompt customer service when needed. They also were happy to save my details for later when I needed to take a step back for monetary reasons during the COVID crisis, even though I wanted to continue with the product when my business was back up and running. (Did not hold me for ransom!)

Pros

Pet Sitter Plus is extremely user friendly, and the few things I got stuck on I know I would have support with in no time!

Cons

Honestly, I haven't encountered anything I disliked about the software. It has features I do not need or use but they are easy to switch off!

The customer service support you get is second to none!
Very quick to help you, very patient, friendly & understanding.
Can’t rate [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] CS high enough!

Pros

There are a few Pros to this software.
The diary/planner.
The email templates are so so useful!
The invoicing side of things is a breeze.

Cons

I don’t know how possible it is but automation for other payment services than Stripe would be great.
Also, a ‘Birthday report’ in the same way there’s a ‘vaccination report’.
Payment services such as PayPal and bank transfer.
It’s rather complicated to use. Could be more user friendly but like with anything, it gets easier the more time you spend with it.

Reasons for Switching to Pet Sitter Plus

A very in depth system. Free trial. Automated scheduling/invoicing/receipts. The option of each customer and their pet having their own profile was one of the main draws for me. The alternatives just seemed to be missing one thing or another. PSP has the whole package.

There so many handy features. It's made my time spent on the admin side of my business much less and I couldn't be without pet sitters plus now

Cons

If I was to be very picky I would like to be able to block out days that I'm away so that clients are unable to book them days.

Daunting to begin with, especially considering we are mostly non-technical people; but after we took the plunge and got on with it, we would not be without it now.

Pros

1) Onboarding support - Lyndsay was first class
2) Cost - it has more than paid for itself in the hours saved in admin time, and the collection of missed payments in the past manual process.

Cons

The appearance/UI is not as modern as some apps, and it takes a while to get used to the navigation. But, the functionality is so comprehensive - they have thought of almost everything!

Pros

I mainly use it for the scheduling aspect right now. It’s very easy to set up appointments.

Cons

That it doesn’t have an app. You have to use the website (like safari) on your phone.

Great System for my Business

Pros

It's easy to use for scheduling and client retention. I also like how easy I can customize it.

Cons

Emailing clients. I can't jazz it up with images and graphics. It seems so plain plus I don't think all my clients get their emails when I do a mass email even though the log said it went.

Pros

It has so much functionality and is very logical. It saves tons of time with invoicing and payroll.

Cons

There was a learning curve to some of it, but it really didn't take long to learn. The only other con is only being able to add a holiday fee by the day instead of the visit, but that wouldn't fit with the software's logic so I understand why it isn't possible.

Saves a ton of time, helps us focus on new client acquisition and employee training rather than the rote back-end stuff

Pros

About 4 years ago, we evaluated PSP, Pet Tech and other similar systems, (and in recent years, we cast a sideways glance at newer, app-based solutions like Leash Time and Time to Pet) -- while some of these services may seem as robust, or have a slicker user interface, we've found that PSP provides all the features a company of our size needs... and is uniquely able to scale with us. We're now at over 1700 clients in NYC, and we simply could not have done this Pet Sitter Plus!

As many have noted, the customer service team is phenomenal. We are continually impressed by all of the feature-packed new releases that come out (it seems) every few months. The product just keeps getting better and better, adroitly sensing shifts in the wind and adapting to them. I can't imagine how busy the programmers must be, constantly responding to the custom needs of Pet Sitting Companies across several continents (with all our varying labor, tax, cultural and other considerations!)

Cons

Well, we're in NYC so some of the terminology in PSP takes a little getting used to. For example, "Diary" will always conjure a tween girl's secret journal, not the daily schedules of our employees... and it's always a little charming to "raise" our clients' invoices rather than send them. I'd say the biggest example of this language difference, or perhaps more a cultural one, is that in the USA when an invoice is sent, the recipient usually has 2-4 weeks before the bill is "due". In PSP, all bills are marked "Due on receipt, and show as "outstanding" to the Client even if they just received it.

The user interface takes a little getting used to. It's probably impossible to design a smooth, attractive and intuitive UX when you are handling SO MANY details for every single thing. An app, when it comes, will be great!

I owe my sanity and the health of my pet care business to them.
Until April 2012 I had been managing bookings, rosters, invoicing and accounts manually. I was working 24/7 and struggling to keep my head above water. I was beginning to hate the business I had loved for 17 years. And tax time was a nightmare I dreaded to contemplate.
In desperation I had approached a tech savvy guru who had created a very successful software system for a cat rescue organization here. He asked me for my wish list'what the perfect system could do for me. I was excited about the possibilities. This wonderful man, a savior, decided not to reinvent the wheel and after some extensive searching and research to compare the systems available he put me in touch with Richard.
That was the turning point. I was apprehensive to get started, I am technologically challenged (a dinosaur to my teenage children) but after one email and then a chat on skype I trusted I was in good hands. Since that day I have not looked back. Getting started was a piece of cake. The software is super user friendly and, surprise, surprise'the Help tab is actually helpful!! And given all that, if ever I have needed a hand, the customer service has been spot on. Friendly,fast and efficient. My wish list has been provided to me on a platter and some! There are features in Petsitter+ I didnt even know I wanted. And the team are always coming up with improvements and happy to hear our suggestions.
Now I have trained a staff member to operate Petsitter+ and can take time away for some R and R. And even when I am not on leave, I can feel a sense of freedom with the portability of a system which can be operated from my phone or IPad. I recently accompanied my husband on a two day business trip and had the luxury of overseeing PetFriends while relaxing on a beach in Broome. Now that's my kind of office.

I was the admin for my brothers petsitting company. I joined the team to help him organize and expand. We switched over from another we'll know software that was just missing the mark. We needed something universal that could house all the details that comes along with this work. It was clear that the creators actually have worked as pet sitters. The amount of notes and details you can add for each pet and daily jobs is awesome! There is even a section for house sitting. The transition was so smooth and the guy who helped us was so supportive at every step. I was incredibly nervous and everything went fantastic. The best part is how it is organized, they have thought of everything. It is set up in a way that is so transparent and easy. It is simple to do data entry and for staff to see all important info. Everything in one place and so user friendly even for technology challenged people like me. If you want to sleep better at night get this software, it's totally worth it!s Staff marks off when finished so at a glance on your phone you know what is happening. Also every morning they confirm each job so you know they will not forget. My job became so much easier I was able to move on to follow my dreams and hand this off to a new person with complete confidence. I never could have done that with the old system.

I love that clients can access their accounts, but there are some changes I would like to see.

my overall goal is to spend less time at consultations and at the computer updating client information. It has only been a month and we are still dealing with adapting. So, it may be too soon to tell if I am 100% happy I switched to PSP. But so far what I appreciate most is the customer service, specifically Becky Eberly. She has been such a great support in helping me learn the system. Without her, I would have been a wreck.

clients are able to log in to update information as well as request or cancel services

Cons

Development changes requests:

1. when a sitter is in a clients account and looks at the schedule, I would like the sitter to be able to click on the name of another sitter assigned to other sits for that client. to access their contact information
2. When tips are allocated to the appropriate sitters when a client makes an online payment, I would like the sitter to be able to either be notified or to be able to see their information (not the other sitters) tip report information. This way they know who to thank and also to feel appreciated by that client
3. My clients are very confused about how to add a tip, even when I give precise instructions within the invoice email notification as well as on my FAQ page on my website: https://www.apetsbestfriend.com/q-a
It is frustrating to have to hand hold clients and walk them through the process and I see a significant decline in tips altogether because clients don't know how to do it! Please please change the invoice page to have an obvious button for clients to click on before making their payment instead of a tiny pencil icon.
4.Many clients are used to paying in advance and I greatly encourage that especially around holidays or for overnight stays. But they are so confused when they look at their account summary and it says "you have nothing to pay". Is there a way to possibly list quote amounts on the page?
5. Please make the summary more printer friendly! It is way too long, including repeated headings and a grey background

The company is very receptive to adding in features that will benefit their clients. Several times each year they release new updates to continually better the software. Their willingness to listen to their clients and implement their ideas is what sets them apart from their competitors.

Pros

Pet Sitter Plus has allowed me to manage my business in a more efficient manner. Invoicing, managing client/pet data, scheduling and the client portal are just a few elements that have streamlined my business using Pet Sitter Plus software. I chose Pet Sitter Plus for their rich features, which I knew would grow with my company. The initial sessions with my software coach were extremely helpful in customizing the program to fit my business model. The best part of using Pet Sitter Plus is their responsive support team. The support team is readily available to answer any questions and problem solve with their clients. My experience with Pet Sitter Plus has been very positive!

Pros

I have used this software for over 4 years and have recommended it to other local companies who have also bought and used it. As a qualified book keeper I can confirm the invoicing system allows your year end figures to be given at a simple click of a button. It allows HMRC to see what is scheduled e.g. Your diary is your income (especially useful with cash businesses) it allows you to keep track of customer payments and outstanding amounts allowing you to simply email a account summary to them with a request for payment if needed. It's simple to see your diary schedule and to add any details you need to keep things up to date. The customer portal allowing customers to request services online and frees up our time answering the phone.

Cons

As with every software things can always be improved but this is not much of a con as every time I email a request for a new feature it has inevitably been added in an update.

When it became clear that my pet sitting business needed serious administrative help, I looked into the top softwares on the market. After several trials, Pet Sitter Plus stood out as the perfect fit for my pet sitting business. For the first couple of months, I used it for scheduling only, parallel with my Google drive documents. I was afraid to rely solely on one system. My PSP rep would train and council me with lengthy phone calls on a weekly basis. Becky was so patient with me as I tried to juggle the day to day business as well as learn how to use the software. I think the great tutorials would have answered most of my questions, but Becky put up with me in such a professional, friendly and helpful manner. She gave me the confidence to let go of my old documents and rely completely on the PSP scheduling features. They never let me down! This wonderful experience made moving on to using the invoicing and client portal features a stress-free process that went without a hitch. I get wonderful reviews of the client portal from my clients and am so happy with the payment processing features. My sitters are thrilled to have the app on their phones when they are out in the field. Everything they need is right at their fingertips and the server has never failed us. Several new releases every year keep the software providing continuous improvement, although I am at a loss to recommend what more I may need! Invoicing and payroll used to take 2 full days and now I can process both in minutes. PSP has the flexibility and functionality that made running my business fun again! This software pays for itself quickly and adds the professional image and peace of mind that my company was looking for. I highly recommend Pet Sitter Plus!

I run a small but successful dog walking company in the UK. We have over 100 regular customers and...

I run a small but successful dog walking company in the UK. We have over 100 regular customers and typically schedule 250 bookings per week across 3 walkers. Before using this system I had tried various others however none were as intuitive or had the required features to do the job quickly and easily.

PSP makes managing bookings simple by allowing me to attribute dogs to particular areas for each walker. This means that doing my weekly scheduling takes less than half an hour!! It allows customers to have a central point of contact - managing their own bookings - eliminating the need to try and manage calls/texts/emails for bookings/amendments and cancellations. All this used to be a real headache.

As completed jobs are all logged on the system, completing my monthly invoicing run takes maybe less than 10 minutes. All I need to do is sense check the customer orders to ensure there have been no human errors made (multiple orders for the same customer, only bookings for that month included in the order etc), change the text for the e-mail and off they go.

I don't use other software, however, if I did, this allows the system to reconcile all payments directly - saving, even more, time. A really good feature however it's one for the future for me.

The system is extremely robust, holds all the information you and your walkers may need, has multiple interfaces for mobile/tablet and desktop. The system can also be edited/adapted to suit individual needs with editable fields. Downtime is non-existent and support is absolutely top quality.

Users can feedback directly on ideas for future function development and new features/updates are released regularly.

My customers use the tracking functions to see exactly when their dogs were collected and dropped home - fantastic for providing peace of mind when they're at work. They also, without exception (even the technophobes!) pick up and use the system with minimal effort or training.

I haven't even scratched the surface for what this system can do and cannot recommend it highly enough. Simply superb

My favorite thing about Pet Sitter Plus is the personal customer service you get for free! [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is a Rock Star Professional who will meet with you online anytime you need help!!

Pros

It's very easy to use and gives professional results! The Help tool gives you all the answers. But [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is my favorite part. I get her professional help anytime I need it!

Cons

Little hard when they did the update, but [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was awesome in training and is available to help me any time I need it!

Excellent Customer Service and the Program is one of the Best on Market!

After having this program for over a year- it has completely changed my business and personal life...

After having this program for over a year- it has completely changed my business and personal life as an owner. No second guessing, credit/debit payments are so easy, tracking and email of sitters and the updates to clients are a hit. Customer service is always so nice and guides me through questions when they come up.

Pros

Gosh- so much! Having client info easily accessible to staff while mobile is key.The ease of payment processing and processing service requests are a customer fav from our end.

Cons

Email features are Null - just HTML formats. No ability to change font types, looks, sizes or add pictures. Also whish the push emails to clients after a visits were more esthetically pleasing.

We are a local City business in Brighton & Hove (UK) with over 570 registered customers who we provide cat feeding & sitting visits for. We are a small team of 3 + 1 seasonal staff but we deliver over 11,000 home visits a year. Pet Sitter Plus (PSP) literally changed my life in giving me back hours of time that was spent on a manual diary and manual invoices. Our customers love PSP, they feedback such great reviews to us about using the system. For us, it's been an amazing transformation for our business and we also realize that customers have joined us for the very reason we have such a sophisticated booking system in place. Customers feel they have great control over booking as well us updating procedures or requests on their account. PSP is more than a booking system it has many facilities which have help us as a business. The support that we have been given from Richard & Team at HQ has been more than a 5+Star experience. If we have ever needed support we receive a reply within minutes, amazing response time, customer support and service given. PSP has so many great tools to use and my small team love using it. Couldn't have asked for a better system!

Pros

It's so easily adaptable and can quickly be edited to be exactly how you want it. I'm a dog trainer, not a computer tech, but I can change custom fields, email templates etc myself without getting confused! Would 100% recommend this software to any pet sitters/walkers/trainers etc. I think its fairly priced too - lots of the other systems I looked at were way out of my price range. Also, I love the fact I don't have to use up space on my computer as its all online, and I can log on from my iPad or iPhone which is super handy!

Cons

It's so hard to think of something that I like least about the software as it fits what I need perfectly! If I had to pick one thing it would be that I can't change (or at least I don't know how to) the search list on the clients tab. I don't remember my clients names very well, I only remember the dogs names so it would be handy if I could change it to search alphabetically for the pets names.

PSP saved my business!

Pros

Pet sitter plus has everything needed to run a small or large pet sitting company. My clients and staff love their portal and the billing and scheduling is so easy. And the reports are super helpful too.

Cons

Nothing! Its really a great product and wonderful customer service and training. Maybe the only negative thing is they don't have an app yet, but they are working on building it.

Scheduling, Billing and payments are so much easier. I could not imagine running my pet sitting business without this software!

Pros

I am a small business and I am just starting out. From the very first day that I started using Pet Sitter Plus, I was amazed. Seeing as it is just me right now who works/runs my business I was always running short on time. I love that I have the ability to do so much with just one program.

I have the ability to schedule all of my clients, keep financial records, and have GPS check in and check out all at my finger tips. All I have to do is bring my tablet along and I can do all of this with just one click. I like to keep records of who has paid and who has not as well. This way I can send reminders as needed. I meet many of my clients at their homes, and process their payments right there with Pet Sitter Plus!

The customer service has been fantastic as well. I have only had minor issues when I was first setting everything up. They were speedy and very courteous!

Cons

Honestly we have not had any that are worth noting! So far so good!

Just superb

Pros

Fabulous software. I have limited IT knowledge and I struggled on in my first two years of business with notebooks and a diary. The difference that this simple computer programme has made to the day to day running of my business is huge. Every conceivable piece of information I require from revenue to a hamsters eating habits are easily recorded, easily accessed and easily amended. I dont know how I managed before ...
