I have been using YAPP for over 2 years for our global conferences - to get people to engage, get excited, and as a way of reducing printed paper agendas and other print materials. I love the functionality, and how easy it is to upload and use - I have had to test out another event app and that was very difficult to use. I especially love that I can upload a simple CSV file with participant names and that comes up so easily. I really do enjoy working with the tool - and being able to upload files so easily!

The cost - sometimes I find it high. The only other thing I would say is the way apps are archived so you can't see some from the previous year.

Having no experience creating and app and not very tech savvy this made it pretty easy for me to figure out and worked mostly pretty well.

During our conference half of the attendees could not download the documents provided.

The Yapp was very easy to build and made it easy for our attendees to have access to the most up-to-date information for our event, as well as having complete access to our Sponsors, Speakers and Exhibitors information and materials all in one place! Was a very plug and play software!

Wish we could have had our social feed automatically upload to our social media and not just in the app.

Very easy to use and intuitive which is important for a small team that is new to administering a conference app. Also easy to use and intuitive for our conference attendees which this was their first time using an app at our conference.

The alerts/notifications would not push to users in the app unless they had specifically gone through their phone settings to allow the notifications. I'm not sure if this is anything Yapp can do anything about, but this would be a game changer. Also, assuming Yapp can get the notifications to push to users, the ability to schedule those notifications would be fantastic. Tracking continuing education (CE) is a major missing piece for Yapp. Conference apps should be able to track users attendance at sessions as a mechanism for organizations to award CE credits.

The fact we can change anything quickly, and have information right at the fingertips for our staff and faculty.

Yapp was very easy to set up. I figured it out myself without using any tutorial. It was great for a conference. We were able to quickly purchase and have it set up within a day.

I wish that you could change the Yapp icon so that it can be personalized for our own event, vs it being Yapp. I found that our attendees were looking for our event name vs yapp.

We are a statewide healthcare organization with a small staff and a large annual conference of VIP attendees. We've used Yapp as our event app for 4 years now, and no longer produce a print program or any other paper materials, saving money and time. Our attendees are executives who range from 30- 70+ years old and do not bring support staff to this meeting, so ease/intuitive mobile use is key. Yapp is incredibly easy to use for both our staff and attendees. It's a simple, visually attractive interface with ample customization opportunities to promote speakers and sponsors--and all at a fantastic price point--no need to invest in more tools than your organization needs. This is one of the best purchases we've ever made in allowing our small staff to make an immediate customer experience impact.

Love the scheduling feature. This allows us to electronically share our agenda and users have access at all times on their mobile devices.

I would love to use the app to update and make changes on the admin side.

This app was easy to create, especially by someone who is not experienced with app development whatsoever.

Can't think of anything as I found it very useful and online support was great.

We utilize Yapp for various conferences held under our agency that users may attend many of. One of the great features is that the conferences are stored in the app itself and they are able to jump between conferences and simply update content instead of redownloading a new app for each conference.Also, Conferences are EASY to set up and manage.

We really have nothing at this time to input.

Yapp is really easy to use. Very clear cut, customizable, etc.

It does not integrate with Cvent, our event management system. For our registrants to have to select their sessions on our reg site and then to have to re-build that schedule once they got the app was an extra step our registrants did not appreciate.

I like the acccesability on a mobile device. It works quite well and updates immediately.

Setting up a new conference and transferining common information from past conferences is not intuitive or possible.

How easy it is to use and push notifications.

We choose YAPP because it met all of our needs for our weekend event. The pricing was great for only needing to use it for a short period of time. The features are exactly what we needed and we like the ease of use for our conference attendees. We typically work with an older crowed that can sometimes struggle with technology but they dowloaded and use it with ease!

I do wish the the lowest level allowed for more than 1 admin, but we are able to work with it.

Ability to have session location, times and presentations at your fingertips

Some links to documents were a bit hard to create.

Very easy to set up panels and speakers, add bios, pictures, and panel descriptions. Liked being able to add sponsors as well as logos. Nice import function for attendees from our other registration platform via a CSV upload.

I didn't realize that the download itself is static, i.e., if a user downloads the app and then selects the event program, and subsequent changes to that program did not seem to be refreshed for the users. We had some late changes for speakers but that information couldn't be updated for users who'd already downloaded the app.

Our school uses this app for the many and varied trips our school sponsors for students. We use it for students and maintain a separate one for chaperones. All events, addresses, student information and more are kept in the appropriate apps and allows us to control social media for parents to follow the trip. The customer service is extremely efficient and appreciated. Ease of use is a huge pro.

Would probably like a bit more customization for event graphics on the cover

150+ attendees used the app to see agenda and any updates to the conference. We didn’t have to print agenda, maps, or updates.

There was nothing we didn’t like. No Cons for us.

Yapp is easy to use and allows many students to access information by use of their device.

Trying to get break out information during sessions was a bit tricky

I supervise a team of 100 (mostly retired) volunteers. Switching to Yapp for our annual meeting saved us nearly $2,000 on printed materials and was user friendly. Even our critics became Yapp fanatics by the end of the conference.

We would love to use an appreciative inquiry model for surveys - utilizing open ended questions, rather than polls. I'd love to be able to use this next year for our annual meeting.

Building out the app was very straightforward and simple. I loved the capability to schedule announcements, as it was crucial to why we used the app during our conference.

None that I can think of at this time. It achieved what I was looking for.

I didn't find any I think some of the things that I think were missing were more I need to understand the app better to roll out certain things to our delegates.
