The biggest thing we noticed the ability to white label the product so out clients don't know where we can the software from, it makes it look like it is a in house solution.
Pros
Most compatible and more customization than any other backup software, works with all storage providers on all OS with unlimited customization.
Cons
They got rid of their in house ransomware protection and now you have to install another piece of software on your servers to protection them from that.

I was previously a Carbonite partner, and MSP360 Managed backup is an absolute breath of fresh air. It works, it is easily managed, the website is fantastic. I can easily restore, edit the backup scheme, and more from the website-- which is very responsive.
The onboarding process was a cinch, the support is fantastic (not that I need it often). The pricing is more than fair, and gives you a lot of choice between different storage platforms. I personally use Backblaze B2, and it works so, so well.
Pros
Price, ease of use, transparency, speed, and support are all top-notch.
Cons
Honestly, I cannot fault this at all. Like anything that costs money, it could always be cheaper... but the price is extremely good.

Works well enough for most things except immutability
Pros
Cheaply and reliably encrypts and ships backups to Amazon for long-term storage as an LTO tape alternative. Once setup, it's pretty set-and-forget.
Cons
Automation around the product is somewhat difficult (e.g., automating ad-hoc restores from Rundeck). Also, immutable storage is complicated when you have a simple use-case, such as needing to backup SQL database backup files like transaction logs. It's not just a toggle-switch.

It is a great product. The only overall thing I could suggest would be to make it a little more intuitive to use.
Pros
It has a lot of security features I didn't see in many other backup products. Suggested improvements are seen by the company and many times implemented into the product. You can see everything that has been suggested by other users and can vote and comment on them.
Cons

Backups are consistent and easy to troubleshoot when everything is working. Getting to there was a bigger then expected training effort. Likewise the navigation to make a desired change required touching every one of 8 or more set-up screens. There's lots to come to grips with.
Pros
In my opinion the 'Backup History' report might be the best reason to use the software. The report is well though out with good links present to learn more about the details of individual backup jobs.
Cons
MSP360 has a local installable client that communicates with it's web portal. We use the software for local backups to USB drives and I was shocked to realize that backups would not proceed unless an working Internet connection is present. Another surprise is that the software has no settings that we've been able to figure out to do a full backup. It does do incremental backups which unsurprisingly are useful.
Aspects of the administrative portal are not as intuitive as expected. In the case of updating software the
notation "Backup for Windows - Public v7.5.3.3 - Get Sandbox Latest v..." and then pressing a [Make Public] button are the required steps to allow the already configured auto-updating of software. To take place, 'who knew?'. If you don't figure it out and keep up you'll find the software no longer functioning and no links that we found to easily explain the steps that we finally discovered deep in documentation. We suggested some simple interface updates to make it simple but no response so far.

Very happy overall. MSP360 allows us to manage a centralized SaaS backup and recovery platform. All jobs are managed from a central console. We can use multiple storage providers for redundancy and can manage our own encryption keys.
Pros
For us, MSP360 checks all the boxes. One of the few providers that support connecting to third-party storage providers like BackBlaze B2, Amazon S3, MS Azure, Drive E2, etc. They offer storage, but it is not required. They allow customers to create and manage their encryption keys. Multiple backups options, retentions, and schedules are supported. Additionally, support is very responsive.
Cons
The licensing was convoluted to get volume discounts in the past, but they have fixed those issues. The recent addition of FFI backups requires support to enable it on some third-party S3 buckets.

Very satisfied, have been using many backup products in past 20 years and now I am happy and satisfied user, re-seller and admin of MSP360 for almost 10 years and have no plans to switch to anything else. Quite a lot of times I use it to restore some files, which users deleted accidentally or overwrote unintentionally, and process of finding right version of the file is much, much easier than with many other products.
Pros
What we like most is product being in affordable price range even for resale to lower budget end-users, while at the same time having all enterprise options and, as shown during years of use, enterprise reliability.
Cons
It is minor, but WEB user interface is a bit odd to me, as I was more used to some on-premises backup solutions. But it just needs some time to get used to, far beyond it being deal breaker.

Excellent backup software for saving to cloud and local. The only one I use for Windows.

I know my clients' data is being backed up reliably. I use Cloudberry Lab Backup for clients locally and with AWS S3/Glacier. My clients are home users and small businesses.
Pros
The gui is well-designed, there are plenty of options. The choice of cloud storage providers is huge. It's extremely reliable. I've used Cloudberry Lab Backup - free and paid - on clients' servers, desktops, laptops for years. Even when there was no free version the price was so reasonable, much more affordable than other backup programs. In combination with Cloudberry Explorer, you can't beat it. Unlike many other backup solutions, you can also save locally too. The best tool for Windows backup strategies.
Cons
You do have to be fairly technically proficient (which isn't necessarily bad for us tech providers since we have to make a living!) so it's unlikely a regular end user would be able to deal with it. I would like the free version to allow a bit more than 200GB - maybe 350GB - just so I don't worry that a client's backups would stop working since I'm not onsite IT. But the price for one desktop license is so reasonable that if I'm sure a client will need more I just buy one. I did try Cloudberry Lab Backup on the Mac and didn't like it as well as Arq, but that was a while ago. Really this is excellent software.

I need to run my business without being concerned that my backup data is secure and current. This software has allowed me a set it and forget it set up. Every so often I log into it and check the log files and it hasn't failed me. You can even set it to send you an email upon errors.
Pros
The software was as simple as following the prompts to get rolling. I like that it has several destination options available to send the backups, that it allows for block back up, encryption, throttling as to not use computer memory or internet bandwidth during backups. You can select directories and exclude file types. It is pretty versatile.
Cons
I can not say I have any con's on this particular software program because the fee was even one time, not monthly or annual.

Using MSP360 has been a very good experience overall. They provide regular updates to clients that push out and update themselves when I tell them to. The backups have a lot of flexibility in scheduling and recovery options. Once an agent is installed, I can manage every aspect with the web interface, which is very convenient.
Pros
When I was looking for software to back up customers' computers I needed it to meet certain criteria. Remotely managed (Cloud-based), onsite and cloud for storage, and encrypted. MSP360 hit all those points for me and did it really well.
Cons
The scheduling backups were more problematic for me in the beginning when I used the software, but it has improved over the years.

I spent a plenty of time comparing a lot of software, trying trial and free versions, looking for a solution that'd help me complete my home/small business/hobbyist backup. As a photographer I have to manage huge amount of image files with RAW data, these are quite bulky and ravenous in term of HDD space used, nevertheless quite important for me to save and have a backup of it.
However, in most software solution I've been testing I was rarely satisfied, whether it's been the lack of usability, and mostly about the amount of the software maintain the speed of connection and the bandwidth while backing up. Hopefully, eventually I ran across MSP360 software and surprisingly had a delightful experience with it right away. Especially I was happy enough about the speed and stability of bandwidth wile backing up. It seems due to multithreading engine it can retain very high speed of upload, in fact as high as I hardly ever had while being used other upload methods. It's important for me as I have a lot of data to be backed up and can't afford spending much time for it, though need rely on it's outcome. So, in conclusion, I would certainly recommend the software as such thing that helped me and resolved my issues.
