Pros

I like how easy it was to integrate with shopify. Had it setup within minutes. Customer support is next level. Prior to using shopify, we used FOMO with a different shopping cart that didn't have an easy integration. FOMO support helped us get a custom integration setup so it would work with that cart.

Cons

Can't think of any negative aspects of the FOMO app at this point.

I think it was beneficial to have installed during the holiday season. It reassured new site visitors that other people were buying my products.

Pros

I think the concept is good, but as you know there are other players doing the same thing. The platform as user-friendly and installation was easy. I also was able to easily reach a human when I had an issue installing. Customer service goes a long way.

Cons

Often the platform would duplicate order data (events) and I would have to manually delete them so people wouldn't see multiple notifications for the same orders. That was frustrating.

Overall, happy with the service. My site is getting too much traffic for the basic plan and I'm not making too much sales from the tool but it is paying for itself so going to keep it running as I think it's a great visual tool to get people's attention on my website.

Pros

-Love that you can measure performance/see conversions tied to click-thru from Fomo

Cons

The Squarespace integration wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be and had to spend sometime with support troubleshooting. I'm guessing its more Squarespace's fault than Fomo's because support was pretty quick to assist.

Their support team are friendly, responsive, and great at communication. Plus they actually help you solve the problem rather than point you to a blog post that tells you how to do it.

Cons

The UI isn't always intuitive but once you get used to it then it's pretty easy

It was crazy easy to set up. I didn't have to google any terms. They even insert the code for you if you want! The toasters look great and integrate with Zapier, which is important for my workflows.

Cons

It's a bit pricey, but since we're selling a high-cost item, all indications thus far are that it's worth it.

I have to admit that I got a little hung up during implementation. The purpose I was implementing FOMO was for the social proof to visitors of others filling out our contact forms... This required the implementation of a beta feature that did exactly what I needed. Thank you!

A few more options for the look and feel of the notifications would be nice.

Pros

Ease of implementation, and simplicity are easily the best parts of FOMO. We had it up and running within no time, and customers are seeing sales every day.

Cons

Not a whole lot - It's well built and lean. Maybe more customization, or introducing more tools to add social proof in addition to the pop-ups.

I love how i can integrate this with any shopify ecommerce website. It shows some relevant stats and the support is amazing.

Cons

We are able to easily provide social proof of others taking action for our cause, thereby encouraging more action. I have tried other similar tools and Fomo was by far the most flexible and easy to set up. It has only been a few months now and we look forward to the months ahead as we push their capabilities more.

Pros

The three things I like most about Fomo are: 1. It has the flexibility to do what we need for each of our websites and enough options to even keep our designer happy, which is no small feat with anything out of the box. 2. Easy implementation, even for an non-tech person. I was worried about being able to do it myself, but the dashboard is well laid out, the instructions were easy to understand and the structure in mercifully logical. 3. Great support, always prompt and helpful.

Cons

As we look at rolling out some global campaigns I was very concerned about being able to support a per transaction pricing model, however, they showed me how I can mitigate that and still have effective social proof, and Fomo offers generous support for non-profits. So far I don't have any other cons to report.

Adds the extra subtle push for closing the ecom sales. Usecase can be wider with their 55 native integrations but yet to really explore. Not a big issue but their live support seems to be away most of the time too.

Pros

No fake social proof allowed, at least in their approach! Unlike many of the inferior similar sorts, FOMO definitely sticks to its GET REAL marketing proof. And yes, the domain name aptly describes its product.

Cons

Facebook marketing is huge and there is no native fb reviews integration. Not sure why they did not prioritize Facebook Page reviews into one of their 55 integrations. That was one of the obstacle initially faced before i decide to go onboard with them.

Pros

This is a great app. It is customizable. The function that it offers is such a great idea. The Fear Of Missing Out is a great motivator in online sales. We have multiple​ clicks on the FOMO popups/alerts every day. It works even when sales are low. It rotates sales and makes your site look as if it's​ very busy with current sales. You can customize the look and placement of the alerts.

Pros

I love that it shows we have active customers purchasing. This can be particularly exciting during a big sale or release. It lets customers feel like they're part of the action even though purchasing on a site is a fairly stagnant activity.

Cons

This is a fairly simple software so I don't see any large ways it needs to improve. We have a fairly simple aesthetic though so we're not looking for any crazy designs or options for this.

Pros

Pop-up FOMO feed & integrations with a variety of software we already use = great. I appreciate that it creates some stress/motivation for visitors.

Cons

Designing the pop-ups is a little cumbersome, difficult to make them look 100% right (perhaps with some CSS the end-result would be better, but I'm looking for no-code solutions). Also wish FOMO had ability to work with promo codes/coupons with expiry

Pros

The most useful class I took during my MBA was about how to influence others. Selling psychology has become a favorite topic of mine as it relates to eCommerce. The Fomo app allows me to put psychology theory into action. And customers respond well to it! Even friends have mentioned how cool it was to see what people were buying when they were shopping on the site.

Cons

The cost is a little high for the value it adds. I'm also afraid that it takes too long to load on my site.

Pros

Integration is super easy compared to another competitor of Fomo that we have been using, just one line of code in the header does all the necessary work. Integrations like "Trustpilot reviews notification" is a gem. Seamless editing of the notifications and their rules are fantastic.

Cons

At first, it seemed a lot to take in and learn, but with their short guides you can learn everything that is needed.

What I like most about this software is that it helps new, less experienced customers easily decide which products to purchase based on what other customers are buying. When buying spirits online, there are so many choices and it can be overwhelming for first time visitors. But when they choose a product based on popups that show product reviews, number of purchases per product, and more, it gives them peace of mind knowing that others have already tried and enjoyed the product.

Cons

We have been using FOMO for only a few months but there have been no cons so far. Some minor issues with WooCommerce on mobile. But the issues have since disappeared after WooCommerce was updated.

Pros

FOMO was so easy to set up. We use CrateJoy and the integration was seamless.

Cons

It doesn't seem like the CrateJoy integration offers to ability to exclude certain products like their other integrations do (yet?). We occasionally have secret sales and items so we've had to come up with work arounds for these.

Pros

It's simple, painless, and effective. I set it up over 6 months ago and and for the most part it's been on autopilot since. The few times I ran into trouble, customer service was incredible -- they literally implemented a new feature that I requested within days.

This product was recommended to us several of our marketing partners and we skeptically implemented. It was relatively easy to install and has demonstrated results.

Cons

We had some minor issue with setup and implementation but their team was able to resolve them quickly. We used their chat function to resolve these issues.
