Pros
as a non-dev, i found mantis pretty straightforward and easy to use. i could always go back and reference past tickets, plus submitting a new ticket was simple & fast. appreciated the status change logs for each ticket and the comment/conversation section kept me up to date on everything. email notifications for actions taken we also appreciated.
Cons
having now moved to jira, all i can really say is that mantis is very bare-bones. it absolutely gets the job done but lacks some rich context fields/tracking. the UI and general look could use a facelift. i never understood how mantis worked for our dev tea, but speaking from the operations side of a start up i didn't truly have any complaints with mantis.

Pros
As a user of this software, i have been pretty much basically been able to customise it to the max. I can pretty much make the tickets look the way i want.
Cons
Sometimes there are the occasional hiccups like missing token error mesage. Its very annoying since you have to go back in the browser to submit the ticket again

I love how Mantis has improved and progressed over the years but has retained its core principles: it's a solid product, with all the features you would expect by a professional bug tracking platform, and focuses on developers productivity.
Cons
It can be intimidating for novice developers and its look-and-feel might not be gorgeous, but its UI is clear and concise.

Pros
1) It is a open source bug tracking tool. It is easy to use and very simple.
2) It has its own inbuilt bug tracking feature which helps us for effective reports for the specific issues.
3) it supports database testing also.
Cons
As a user this is very good and I don’t find any problem while using it. But congratulation of application is not so easy ; you have some technical knowledge to configure it.

Bugtracker wich does not require intallation of any software in your pc you only have to connect to the server and your are good to go, that is my favorite part
Cons
The attachments needs to be downloaded to be able to visualize them, it would be nice to view what you want in some viewer in the same tool

Allows to track issues within multiple projects and also multiple users can use this. The assigned tasks can be clearly filtered and identified.User can attach relating screenshots , documents when raising bugs.and the bug lifecycle can be tracked easily.

I like the drop down list for different departments (sites) and how easy it is to track faults open or closed with different colors for different states!
I now use a program called Team support, which I have found easier to use, With the Sam functionality! unsure on prices of either product as I'm just a user!
but mantis is definitely a handy little program that I would say is focused more on the technical user!

It's a good platform to track issues for multiple projects and users. It offer a good, user friendly interface not pretty but functional with all the features you would expect for a bug tracking platform. Overall, this is a small program, very straigthforward making it very handy and probably the best option for new users or startup operations.
Cons
Though its UI is clear and concise, need to improve on some graphical look and feel. It's also not as customizable as other bug tracking tool/project management like JIRA

I've had Mantis running since last 2 year without trouble. The reporter simply logs in and reports a problem. This is very easy to use. User can log his bug and track the status very easily. Best tool for bug tracking.
Cons
I have no issue to use this product but design view is not good. Need to improve some graphical look and feel.

Mantis BT is easy to maintain, it is free, it is fast and really easy to customize. Requirements are standard php/mysql.
Cons
There are not so many plugins/extensions in the market. Also mobile applications for Android/iOS are missing (but still you can use the browser)
