Why I left the ITGlue family

In the long run, I believe ITGlue was not a good partner for us
Pros
In the beginning, it really forced upon us a culture of creating useful documentation.
Cons
ITGlue did help my business with documentation and business practices in the beginning. But, as my company matured, I questioned its value of not being fully enlisted in the Kaseya ecosystem, where most development went toward. Kaseya's business practices became apparent - lots of talk/promises with minimal action. It might be different if I entirely bought into the Kaseya ecosystem, but that was not my experience. However, I am still getting notices concerning items I voted on within the ideas pages with hundreds of upvotes (which many have had for over 5 years) and little to no action taken against these items. Also, in many cases, the ITGlue staffers argue against the use cases people propose, saying that is not how it is done but, at the same time, not offering any feasible workarounds.Additionally, Kaseya's approach, as well as respect toward the community, is severely lacking. Just ask many well-respected security vendors who have spoken up about issues/concerns and the backlash/punishment they have received in return. This is not how the MSP community works. If you are fully committed to the Kaseya ecosystem, this might be a different story; but it's not how I have chosen to do business, and I do not believe they are true partners of mine. Your experience may differ, but the many people I have talked to all share similar stories.

My Overall experience with IT Glue was amazing. Getting things done Quicker, Easier and the Best part: It's all organized, within just a couple of click really. The Integration support also makes things significantly easier. So overall, amazing really
Pros
Simplicity. It's simple and easy to get around. I really love the Quick Search Keys like Q for Quick Search in whatever site you are on. It's really a very-very noticable timesaver. I also like the Intergrations you can have with iT-Glue, like NinjaOne, which is very nice to have on hand.
Cons
The Mobile App. The Mobile app UI feels a little to cluttered. I think the Desktop Website UI would be a better fit overall. I know the app allows that, but i still don't like how it works.
What i also don't like, is that you can't stay logged in. Would be nice to get an option with "Remember me for 30/14/7 Days", without needing to log in again. I get that it's for security, but i really would just like to have the option.

Overall very happy with ITGlue after years of using other solutions and fighting them it is nice to have something that works well without having to beat it up.
Pros
Being able to document on-the-fly with as much or as little detail as available in the moment is the best aspect. Other solutions will yell if you dont give them enough detail on an object when you create it. ITGlue gives you the freedom to document as much or as little as you want, and the ability to organize in a way that makes sense without just leaving you in an unstructured environment.
Cons
Mobile app definitely needs improvement. It's better to just log into the web interface on your phone than it is to use the mobile app.

again, overall it's been great. No significant downtimes or outages, yet. that was the biggest problem w/ PP - that, and they'd lose our documentation from time to time.
Pros
I generally like the overall ease of use of IT Glue. I like also that I can open several customers in different browser tabs so as to effectively work on several devices at one time. I copy/paste passwords from IT Glue a lot because I'm running updates on servers/devices at night on weekends and, unlike PassPortal, i can open multiple customers and still copy/paste the correct passwords where needed. the other product would mix passwords, etc. Searching documentation is also a breeze in IT Glue.
Cons
One thing I liked about PassPortal (our previous tool) was that we'd implemented a password plugin into ConnectWise ScreenConnect. I know IT Glue offers something along those lines but my company has yet to implement it. Not really a negative for IT Glue - more my company.

IT Glue solves many problems for us daily. It primary use for us is Password and Asset management. Without IT Glue we would have no single place to go when searching for information on our clients, their locations, users, ISPs, telcos, servers, firewalls, etc. IT Glue houses all of the critical information that keeps ours and our client's business running.
Pros
IT Glue is an excellent platform that is easy to use and quite customizable. Most importantly, it is fast and reliable. We have experienced very few outages over the years with ITG and with their automated offline backup, we were able to continue operations with minimal impact.
Cons
While one of it's strengths, the simplicity of ITG can also be a weakness. I would like to see more controls implemented in user permissions and access. As well, it would be great to be able to toggle certain features on/off completely if they are not used.

My overall experience with IT Glue has been positive due to its ability to centralize and organize documentation effectively. It offers powerful features like relationship mapping, integrations with PSA/RMM tools, and the ability to track and manage passwords securely. These features help streamline operations and improve team collaboration.
Pros
What I liked most about IT Glue is its ability to centralize documentation, making it easy to access and manage critical information in one place. Its relationship mapping feature stands out, offering a clear view of how different assets and systems are interconnected. The secure password management system is another key benefit, ensuring sensitive information is stored safely. IT Glue’s seamless integration with PSA and RMM tools enhances workflow efficiency, saving time by streamlining processes. Additionally, the platform's version control and audit logs provide valuable accountability and traceability, making it a powerful tool for IT teams.
Cons
If I had to put down a con I guess it would be there is a slight learning curve on the administration side.

We have been using IT Glue for a very long time and we haven't had any major issues. Our client's data is kept secure.
Pros
IT Glue is great for keeping all your client documentation secure and in an orderly way. The integration with our PSA and RMM solutions ensure that everything is kept up to date and we don't have to update everything in 3 separate places.
Cons
The add-ons. We are paying for the top license yet there re still more add-ons that have to be purchased separately if you want to utilize all aspects of the software.

We currently use IT Glue as our Bible. It has every device, every client, every document that we have all housed in one place.
