I really like the simplicity of our staff telling us where they are at all times during the work day. It's also nice for vacation reporting.

Pros

I love how we can naturally talk to the bot. Even today, I clicked on the bot and said "I'm working from Starbucks this morning" and it logged it and updated my status on Slack. .

Cons

I wish I could get a report of who's in-and-out a little simpler and quicker. I had to mute the channel I was receiving notifications on because they were a bit overwhelming.

It's good for a small team, but not powerful enough for bigger/distributed teams

Pros

It is very easy to use if you already are a heavy Slack user. the bot can be configured with the mail leave types, and the team likes that it takes literally 1 second to announce a leave (type things like "work from home tomorrow" and it will record it)
You can also see all the alerts in one channel

Cons

The count of annual leaves per person doesn't seem very precise. Also if your team is on different time zones and different contracts it makes it harder to maintain

Putting a timecard into Slack just makes sense. Compared to other options I looked at, this one is heard to beat from a value and features standpoint!

Pros

My favorite things is the responsiveness of the support staff. When I had questions or input, it was handled extremely fast! It's easy and obvious to use, and it integrates to Slack great!

Cons

No complaints! Does what I want perfectly!

Pros

We've been extremely impressed with AttendanceBot. It does exactly what we need, is easy to use and we found it to be very reasonably priced. It's a cleverly designed tool.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind. So far we've liked everything about the solution and even when we needed something new - we contacted them and they worked with us on it!

Pros

The ease-of use is great, and the customer support team responded immediately and meaningfully to many of our requests to add or tweak features, tailoring it to our team.

Cons

The price is on the high end when compared with competitors like Deputy, but for the Slack integration there is nothing comparable.

timesheet feature is just what we need

Pros

We have surveyed many different HR service, but they don't have a easy-to-use timesheet feature. Also since we use Slack, AttendanceBot is the perfect match.

Cons

The calendar sync to Google calendar is really not in control. Events may take days to appear.

Pros

AttendanceBot integrates really well with Slack, making it super easy to use for leave management + punching in and out each day. It's reduced the admin burden we used to have (previously all leave requests were done manually via Word docs). Plus, the helpdesk team is very responsive whenever we've encountered bugs or problems.

Cons

Using it for team timesheets isn't something we do yet, as when folk forget to log in, adding manual time entries isn't as easy to do as it is in tools like Avaza. So the timesheet functionality/logging could be improved.

Can't imagine work without AttendanceBot

Pros

I love how easy it is for my team to manage time off requests. The interactive menu for submitting the request and also as a manager, I get alerts to my phone or desktop that I can approve and track with a click of a button. The reporting is great to help me reconcile at the end of the pay period. When I go on vacation, it is easy to assign the approvals to another manager until I get back.

Cons

It would be cool if it remembered the last options selected in the interface for both time off requests and reporting as they are typically the same options selected.

AttendanceBot has been a great help in managing our fully remote, international team.

Pros

It is a great for invoicing, tracking time spent on different projects, and for managing PTO/PTO requests. Every time we run into issues or have questions and concerns, their support team is quick to respond with a solution. With Slack integration, our staff doesn’t have to worry about yet another software - everything they need to do on a daily basis can be done right in the Slack channel. AttendanceBot reminders help make sure everyone clocks in and out on time, and timesheet reports can be downloaded at any time.

Cons

We did run into some issues due to having team members in several different timezones. Shifts were showing up incorrectly in the calendar and punches didn’t match people’s actual hours worked. Also, setting up shifts that are not your normal 9-5 M-F is not as straightforward as we would like — several people in our team have rotating schedules and they need to be manually set up. We also noticed some glitches when viewing the shift management calendar.

This makes it much easier to keep track of time off and scheduling as it is in one centralized location, not requests coming into emails that often get overlooked.

Cons

Often times employees do not indicate their location until asked, it would be helpful to have a daily reminder notification if the employee has not indicated their location.

Saving a bunch of time answering vacation questions and trying to keep track of the vacation on our own. Freed up a lot of time for more important tasks.

Pros

The ease of use to request time off, manage and pull reports. The system seemed to be pretty smooth when we first started, then a year later we went to make some changes and it had been updated to make it even easier to handle configurations.

Cons

To be honest, we really haven't run into many, if any, cons with this software. Had I filled this out a year or so ago, I would have mentioned not having a great GUI for setting it up.

Pros

It allows good control over submitted holiday and managers approval. It allows staff to have more control over their own leave entitlement.

Cons

You have to remember all of the commands so some of the more obscure ones can be harder to find e.g. second half or compassionate, so one person in our office learns them and everyone asks them. Terminology is in american English. You can only book 8 months in advance. Reminders for managers to approve leave would be good after a certain period, as soon get forgotten about. Better integration with other software e.g. Teamwork would be ideal, so annual leave can be considered when planning project time.

Pros

I wanted a solution integrated into Microsoft Teams, to manage people's days off. This was evaluated in less than a day and the setup was very quick once we confirmed we wanted to move forward. Support has been good too.

Cons

If you wanted to really search for something to improve, you could eventually say that the user help function in the bot could be better.
I can't speak of the features outside of sick days and holiday management (it also does clock-in/clock-out and other stuff) as PTO is the only function we use.

Nice integration with Slack + Google Calendar. Very simple for end-users to add and manage PTO. Support team has been pretty responsive to our needs.

Cons

Not as customizable as it could be - reports are somewhat limited and multi-level authorisations are not supported (ie, if first approver is unavailable, someone else can do it).

I love the HR assistance functionality. You just capture dates for leave request. Even a simple sentence will inform your team when you are working remotely, when this automatically feeds through to our company calendar. It's great! All of this can be done from your laptop or even your mobile, if you are out and about.

Cons

You must have the correct date format, or else it doesn't get the request or the number of leave days are totally out.

i've been waiting for this for awhile

Pros

it is simple. we can all stay in slack and make requests, approvals, and notes without going to another platform.

Cons

some of the grammar is not intuitive. it seems to not know what to do with some phrases that would be normal in a spoken request.
