Great collaboration on project files
Pros
Easy to use and understand for collaboration purposes - if somebody needs to leave feedback on a specific file that requires updates, it's simple to do this.
Cons
Some processes are a little slow/laggy, but it's not enough to impact my recommendation or overall workflow.

FileStage should be focused more on the audience of technical writers. I really miss the import of .tbx data. Makes sense to highlight the forbidden, allowed and preferred terms in the document. Then it's easier to support the reviewers to focus and use the corporate wording.
Pros
- Easy to use concept- Clear software interface- Focus on the basic function of a review-process- Great collaboration of all reviewers- Made in Europe
Cons
- No feedback that the e-mail invitation received the reviewer- No .tbx import for terminology a check- I miss more individual settings for customizing the experience with FileStage- The packages should be more flexible. Some functions we don't need, other functions we need more.- People focus more on things which are not good, I miss the function that reviewers make positive feedback. (... think about back to your school time ... a simple sticker on the test or homework makes you smile and happy)- some reviewers want to place a "nice to have" or a "must have" review. May, it's helpful to have a button or else select that kind of information next to the review text.

Finally, a centralized monitoring and digital approval of our printed materials. This saves an enormous amount of time and nerves. Great experience.
Pros
Easy handling, saves a lot of time and nerves. Complete review process at the push of a button. Intuitive operation
Cons
Project monitoring still insufficient. Even more personalizable notifications would be desirable. For example, a notification at the end of a project deadline.

we are currently uploading all our artwork first drats to filestage and have them reviewed there by internal personnel, like the product manager and engineer and also by our clients, for whom we sometimes make OEM artwork.
I love how you can centralize reviews, versions and approvals all in one app even communicate with reviewers.
Pros
- i like how you can easily set up a project and assign reviewers either internal or external and have everyone process their review-tasks in one app.
- the superb and fast product support!!!
Cons
the project-limit sucks a bit, and the fact that you cannot get links to sections within projects
Response from Filestage
Hello Willy,
thank you for your kind review!
I am especially happy to read you are excited about our support! I'll pass this feedback on to your dedicated Customer Success Manager!
Also, I have passed your request to have a link per section to our productteam. As soon as we have an update on this we'll let you know.
Kind regards

overall positive experience, almost all of our clients like it as well
Pros
That everyone can see everyone's comments, avoiding contradictory ones. Easy, collaborative, organized.
Cons
New dashboard looks a bit messy, but maybe it is just a getting-used-to-thing
Moving reviewers in-between stages (not inviting everyone again)
Images are not shown in full crop when opening them, you always need to zoom out
Possibility to "archive" images in a specific stage, let's say we send out multiple angles to a client, and they chose 3 out of 6 - to clean up that stage (but not delete the previous images if we would need them later) so it would only contain the images that we will continue working with?

Review management: simple, fast and effective
Reviewed on 2022/05/22
Pros
We use Filestage for all review processes of images, layouts, films etc. both internally within our team and with clients. The software is easy to use and self-explanatory to a large extent. Even clients who only need to approve images from time to time can use Filestage quickly and intuitively. The handling of our approval processes as well as transparency has improved significantly and Filestage contributes significantly to our quality assurance.
Cons
Nothing really. There are certainly one or two functions that would make the software even better, but new functions are being implemented little by little and the needs of the users are being intensively addressed.
Response from Filestage

Great little product, and all the interactions I've had with the team behind it have been thoroughly positive.
Pros
FileStage does what you'd hope it does, and does it quickly and easily. At the simplest level, it provides a platform for all levels of dicussion to take place on files in-progress and under review. Start to delve a little and powerful customisation becomes available.
Cons
The mobile version works, but lacking a dedicated app it's not as smooth an experience as the desktop.
Response from Filestage
Hi Adam,
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
We do understand the advantages of a standalone app and we will look into the possibility of developing one. For the time being we will continue to offer and improve our cloud based solution.

Decreased Review Time for Videos & Websites
Reviewed on 2018/07/03
Pros
I have a website and video production company. The review process is now a snap. I simply send the filestage link - instruct the client to leave all the feedback on there, then we will execute all their reviews for a flat "revision" cost - since endless revisions are the least profitable part of the job.
Cons
I had a bit of trouble with the annotation feature early on. It turns out the google adblock plugin breaks some of the code so I just disabled it on filestage.io

My experience with Filestage has been brilliant. I would struggle without it, and I have applied it to a few businesses now
Pros
Filestage is seriously intuitive and simple to use. Which means we get very little confusion from clients or team members, people just adapt right away. I create a lot of video, and because of the detailed feedback thats possible on the platform, its made our workflow and deliveries much faster.
There is also a huge benefit in having the feedback on multiple projects stored for later reference.
Cons
Very little to say here. The one main one would be storage. Because I work mainly in video, I reach the capacity limit of my account almost weekly, which can cause issues if all the work on the platform is active.

Customer servicer has been great when we needed it, which is hardly ever.
Pros
I like that not everyone in our organization has to be registered as a user and when we send something off to proof they can just click the link and open it without dealing with user names and passwords. We don't have to pay by the amount of users either.
The features are simple, we've had very little questions from users on how to use it.
Cons
I honestly can't think of any other than trying to get our campus used to doing things differently.

Filestage has fundamentally changed the way we operate, and I cannot imagine ever going back to the "old way" of reviewing and approving creative.
Pros
Consolidated feedback on creative materials saves us SO much time managing back-and-forth rounds of reviews. It's the digital equivalent of a job jacket full of hand-written rounds of creative feedback. The days of marking up PDFs, scanning handwritten feedback, and long emails are over.
Cons
There are a few minor features that occasionally can be a nuisance, but it's minimal. For example, it would be great to be able to "undo" an approval. Tags can also get lost at times, so it would be nice to have notifications or specific "jump to" tags functionality.

Quick and clean corrections and voting rounds with the customers. Saving a lot of time, effort and nerve.
Pros
The simplicity of working with it - especially when giving the link of a file to a customer. There is no need for him to sign up, which makes it really easy to use.
Also, the usability and the user experience is great. Its actually fun to work with, even considering it is about something as tough as dealing with corrections of customers.
Everything is beeing kept clear and manageable.
We also love how we can handle nearly every kind of file.
Cons
It kinda reaches its limit when handling really big pdfs (more than 200 pages), since people are going to download the pdf and will make their comments there, instead of in filestage.
