The reservations system is the best of any marina software I have experienced. I also like the various types of reports they are able to create. Accounts receivable has been impacted positively at my location as a result.

Pros

Molo is relatively easy to use, especially when training teammates who aren't necessarily computer saavy. The controls are intuitive and the visual layout makes navigating easy.

Cons

There are still a few bugs, but nearly all of them have workarounds. The molo team is constantly pushing out updates which continually improves the product.

My overall experience with Molo has been a positive one. I love using the system and find it very easy to support from an IT standpoint.

Pros

I love how simple and intuitive it is to use. Out of all the Marina Management Systems our company was using I was able to pick up Molo quickly and easily support each of our locations.

Cons

The simplicity has a slight cost as there are some functions in other systems that Molo doesn't currently have. However, I know Molo is growing and evolving and I am excited to see what will become available.

Great software works great but the credit processing could put small marinas out of business.

Cons

Credit card processing. Customer pays, Molo collects, you will never have a definitive deposit from Molo to you. They keep your money!

The overall experience is by far one the best we've had running a business. Comparing it to other Marina Management and Storage systems, with the ability to integrate makes it a leader in the Marina industry.

Pros

I have used many Marina Management Systems in my life and Molo is one of the easiest to pickup and run with. Very user friendly, easy to navigate and the UI is very modern looking and helps new & experience users really capture the productivity and efficiency of running their Marina. Most marina's do not have a mass e-mail statement and have to do it by hand. Not to mention the ability to run autopay for cards and ACH transactions is such a huge time saver. Super easy account creation, and having the ability to text and communicate to your customer is ahead of the game. An added bonus is the integrations such as SpeedyDock & Snag-A-Slip. Definitely bringing it all together in one package.

Cons

There really isn't anything I can think of. Molo encapsulates all the right things to run a business.

There are still some learning curves after being with our previous software for so many years but there are more features being added regularly and overall, it has simplified our operations, and we are very pleased with it.

Pros

I love having everything in one place, easily accessible, and it's very intuitive for new users.

Cons

It would be nice to have more customization access that did not require the company to perform things, such as category/subcategory management and more filters in reporting.

Overall, Molo is an incredible platform to help streamline operations from the inventory management module to numerous operational reporting on storage. Additionally, the customer profile, specifically the financial records, are extremely easy to follow and understand. With customer features like payments online and viewing detailed statements, this platform is a wonderful way to manage marinas.

Pros

Molo is incredibly easy to use and train users on. The navigation makes it incredibly difficult to feel "lost" or stuck in any one screen.

Cons

While Molo is incredibly easy to use, there are certain features held by Molo team members that marina operators may not know are options without specifically asking for them. That being said, the Molo team is incredibly easy to work with and happy to accommodate any operational needs they can.

Molo is very user friendly and simple to use! Our customers also love how simple Molo makes it for them to pay online. In addition to being the best tool to operate marinas, the team at Molo is phenomenal to work with!

Pros

Its simple interface makes it adaptable to all users, regardless of their computer skills. I also love that Molo is constantly evolving with new features and functions, based on recommendations from real operators.

Cons

Some of the reporting and various screens within Molo are slow to load.
I dislike the micro deposit verification process for saving customer bank accounts.

Pros

So far, I liked most, the customer service. Anytime we needed help [sensitive content hidden] was very thorough and prompt in resolving our issues, or delegating it to someone who could resolve it.

Cons

Mostly do not like having to wait sometimes up to 5 days for our customer payments to reach our account. No other system we have used takes that long!

Here’s a quick overview of our current process: once a payment is received, we send batches to our payment processor the next day. While we do our best to send the payout immediately, the funds may take anywhere from 4-24 hours to become available, depending on the payout time. After that, you can generally expect a 1-2 business day turnaround for the funds to reach your bank account. Please also keep in mind that holidays can impact timelines. For example, if a payment is made on a Wednesday evening before a long weekend, with a Monday holiday, it may not be available until the following Tuesday. We have received the best support while switching to Molo. I love the amount of information we can store for our customers. Implementing the changes took a lot longer than expected. I am sure this is in part because we were using Quickbooks Desktop while Molo only integrates with Quickbooks Online. While I am disappointed in the app, I am very happy with the program as a whole and the service I have received from Molo.

Pros

Molo provides amazing support for their customers. The program is very versatile. We were able to set up most of the program in a way that works for our company.

Cons

We were very excited about the app but two of the main components that we need are not available on the app. The map and the calendar are very important to a boat hauling and storage business. Those features are not available on the app. The Calendar isn't mobile friendly. Your entries aren't visible at all in landscape mode (if you turn your phone sideways). The map

I have had overall a great experience using Molo. Molo has been reliable with keeping up with any updates we have requested for better day to day accounting and record keeping. The customer support staff has always been very friendly and extremely helpful with helping troubleshoot any internal issues we might face. When I send in ticket for help it is responded to in a very timely manner.

Pros

I really like that it's easy to use and stores all the things I need for a customer. I like that I can look up someone by different options, not just their name. I like that I can easily create a customer's account where I can go back and reference past work orders, vessel information and customer notes. I like that I can pull reports for customers whose accounts are past due. When it's the first of the month I like that I can send bulk emailed statements, and bulk print.

Cons

I least like the number of steps it takes to create a reservation with molo and the glitches that happen if you make a mistake during the process. If there was a way to shorten the steps it would save a lot of time on our end with reservation.

This software has been a game changer! Before, our billing process was complicated and clunky because regular accounting software and work order management systems are not set up to manage vessels. We also love the time tracking features in the mobile app. This has greatly increased our billable hours and ensures that payroll every week is a breeze. I honestly can't imagine doing business without it now!

Pros

I love the work order system. The option to view and sort work orders on a Kanban board has really improved our ability to close out jobs in a timely manner. I also love the smart search features and the way that contacts and vessels are linked. The best part about Molo is the exceptional customer service. Their support team is very responsive and works with you to solve any problems that arise.

Cons

The cost has a little sticker shock. It's a lot of money for a small business. However, the amount of administrative time it saves and the amount of revenue it captures that might otherwise be lost makes it worth it for us.

Molo has been an amazing addition to this business and has made our lives much easier in many different ways. Customers feel better about their invoices, we are able to keep better track of all the work completed and it is always good to save paper!

Pros

Molo has made it extremely easy to detail the work we complete for our customers. They greatly appreciate the job templates we are able to create and make it a point to mention to us how much easier it has been for them to understand what is being done and the parts that are being used.

Cons

The only con I would have about Molo is that we can not currently "back date" invoices that are created, and that the app is still being developed! With that being said, Molo has great additions each month to the software system that always help with making things easier and more efficient and they are a fast building team.

The ability to pull reports in varied formats.

Cons

In comparing to DOCKWA - their system is much more user friendly and interactive with customer - requiring the customer to be more responsible for updating their files and information. I am hoping now that all are date or most of it is entered the reports will help in compliance and keeping insurance up to date as well as other customer information.

I currently use 2 different POS programs in my job. Clover & Molo. Our Clover rep is awful, I legit cant stand him, doesn't help us at all when we call. Doesn't respond back to my calls. I get reviews from clover to review our reps, I give him 1/5 stars every time. In comparison to Molo & [sensitive content hidden], completely different interactions, I know I can count on [sensitive content hidden] helping me out no matter how big the situation is.

Pros

The program is very user friendly when you do know what to select . I know for a fact I would be struggling if I didn't have [sensitive content hidden] to help me out. From big problems to the smallest ones he is able to walk me through the issues and ANY possible other outcomes . He gets back with me very fast, creates videos to show me the steps, I couldn't ask for a better person to help me out when dealing with thousands of dollars when it comes to billing. He makes my job easier.

Cons

If I didn't have [sensitive content hidden] to help me and explain things, this software would be very hard to learn and harder to teach to older marina staff.

when I arrived to manage this porperty, the software that was used was meant for the managing accommodations (as we also rent rooms at our resort). Molo has eased the process of looking for availability of slips, accessing slip size information, making reservations as well as moving vessels. The overview map is a great visual as well the current dockage report very helpful when ensuring all guests are where they should be. As well the managing of guest insurance is now possible to ensure all guests are up to date with providing this information,

Pros

Molo made it easy during the set up process and it was all done and functioning in a timely manner. It has made us much more efficient with our moorage bookings than the prior software we were using. The retail portion of Molo is very easy to use and we are able to run reports to show profit margins. The movement of vessels is very easy. The slip availability is easy to manage. Most reports are very good and helpful to gather information quickly.

Cons

The glitches we experience sometimes seem very one off and random. Something will work one minute and then seem to not work for a brief period. The invoices are not as easy to adjust as they could be when it comes to cancellations, issuing credit notes etc. It would be great if the inventory report also showed inventory increased and decreased. There are too many locations to add files on bookings. They can be added on the vessel, reservation or contact and not all link. There is a glitch when entering monthly moorage that does not commence on the 1st of the month. Would be nice if moorage could start on any day of the month and create invoices correctly. Would also be nice if reoccurring rates could be set up for monthly electricity.

From the sales, evaluation, installation and support the Molo Team is exceptional in every way. A number of problems/issues we encountered were of our own making but Molo made things right. Molo was purchased by Storables (sic?) a year or so ago. There has been no problems and my original Molo Team is intact.

Pros

We migrated from a 20+ years old Sage accounting system. Billing was flawed, reports were of little value. We are public agency within the City of Ventura, CA, Ventura Port District. Our marina is 100% commercial vessels only, primarily commercial fishing vessels. Many of our tenants are seasonal. Molo gave us total control of our marina assets and greatly improved our cash flow and profitability.

Cons

We essentially migrated from a labor-intensive manual system. There was a learning curve that took my team several months to fully grasp, but tech support has been phenomenal. A lot of features are geared towards typical recreational marinas. There are a couple of reports we are considering contracting for, but overall very satisfied.

We are somewhat unique and unlike most recreational marinas. All of our tenants are commercial in nature (i.e. ferry service to Channel Islands, crew boats servicing oil platforms, primarily commercial fishing fleets), many are seasonal which translates to "rearranging the proverbial deck chairs" on a rotating basis. Molo gave us the flexibility and control to manage our assets to serve our mixed tenant base.

I am content, though the issues around Molo not existing to support operations is an ongoing concern. This means when there is an operational need to move a boat for an evening due to any number of concerns, the system can not support this.

Pros

The general usability, although when you dive into most aspects there are concerns related to most areas of Molo.

Cons

The inability to adjust rates, how often you have to cancel a booking due to system not supporting changes/modifications, and how often sending monthly invoices issues appear on the invoice due to system not adjusting for monthly changes.

Overal experience was a slow implementation. Contacting customer service is not easy by phone so most things are sent via email and take time to resolve. We ran into many bugs that Molo has slowly addressed since we went live but it has been a long process. You need to be prepeared to figure things out on your own to get this up and running.

Pros

The software has an ease of use, anyone can quickly learn how to use it. The workorder implemantation has improved organization and tracking jobs through completion and would be the best part of the software. The app set up is a great for employees to track time on jobs although it still needs imrpovements.

Cons

Integration was made difficult due to lack of support and cusotmer service. Time tracking for staff was a huge issue (inaccurate dates/time/hours) for us that was only recently improved after months of back and forth. The molo to QB integration is causing alot of backend issues and lack of support again makes it difficult to rectify. Many issues still ongoing where things are connected incorrectly. Changes in QB need to go through Molo CS team so they take a long time to complete. Reports could be improved. The Molo calendare is not available in the app so only staff at a computer have access to it.

Pros

Browser based / online, allows access from anywhere. UX design is good and the software is easy to navigate and use. Email and texting through the app. Online payment option for customers.

Cons

We've experienced the most issues with the mobile app for technicians. Problems logging in, timer functionality, etc. These are mostly problems with android, apple products don't seem to have as many issues. The mobile app is always improving though.
