Overall, our experience with Single Ops has been positive. They continue to build upon customer service and the addition of a dedicated Customer Success Mgr has been a great addition.
Pros
Single Ops provides the best customer & work management solution for our business.
Cons
The downside to Single Ops is the limited GL integration with financial accounting software is with QuickBooks only. When we initially started using Single Ops we used Sage accounting software. Since Single Ops is limited to Quickbooks GL integration we had to convert our financial software over and we learned the hard way that it is better to convert over to QB first, then implement Single Ops.
Reasons for Choosing SingleOps
We needed a better crew scheduling system & mobile solution, Single Ops filled this need.Reasons for Switching to SingleOps

The exciting promise quickly faded in lots of tedious work. I still spend many hours each week cleaning up data and manually creating the reports we need. If I don't have good internet signal in the field, sometimes I can't complete the sale. I email the client later and hope I can still land the sale.
Pros
It does the math for us when calculating pricing.
Cons
The product did not match what was sold and promised when we first talked to Singleops. It's one of the least functional pieces of software I've used. And the user interface has no intuitive design to help you delineate on screen what you are looking at. Custom reporting was promised, but that is a half-truth. You can add custom fields and maybe they will show on the report you want. For almost any data I need, I have to run 2 or more reports, then manually edit and cross-reference my own spreadsheets to get the actual data I need. Horrible credit card interface, I have to type in the address that is already saved to the client profile. I can't view the address though once the credit card screen pops up.

Overall, we are very happy. It is definitely learning a new system and with that there are many hurdles. But, the patience that [sensitive content hidden] showed in training allowed me to take my time and learn all of the nuances of this new program. I truly believe I would have thrown my hands up early on in the transition process if not for our weekly training sessions.
Pros
The training I received while implementing SingleOps was top notch! [sensitive content hidden] took her time and answered all of my questions. We met weekly to break down the training in manageable increments. Thank you!
Cons
The bidding and invoicing system are different than what we are used to using. The current invoicing system does not keep track of customer total balances. I have many clients who "round up" to the nearest dollar for their bill. Our old system would easily hold onto this extra money each month and keep a running tally of what the customer currently owed. These clients would then pay less at the end of the year to use their credits paid through out the year. The single ops system says the best practice is to return the additional funds through a refund. When it is pennies on the dollar though, the cost to refund is more than the credit they receive.

It was exactly what I hoped for: a streamlined, easy to use, intuitive, and functionally superior product. Our office communicates more efficiently and consistently with our clients, over the small details- as SingleOps addresses the big details. We can track when emails are received, opened, and when the work is authorized. Having a system that allows our team to focus on executing the work and the quality of the work, instead of micro-managing the details has allowed our departments to develop better trained and more professional staff, also giving us more efficient days and increased production.
Pros
The user interface and ability to coordinate departments and tasks is unmatched. Other platforms have so many layers and hit the "save" button before you do anything moments, Not with SingleOps. The color coding, the templates for most everything we ever need to communicate, and the simplicity is intuitive. We chose what focuses were most important to us as a company and built it up through an easy integration process.
Cons
Hmmm.., sure- it isn't the cheapest- but our decision was about quality not penny-pinching, when it came to running our business and continuing to provide the level of service, we strive to offer from start to finish.

They have been very prompt with their service and always keep us informed of anything that goes on of changes and so on and they seem to know well how to run their program and fix issues that come up. They have very little downtime with their software.
Pros
This program offers where you can set up a line item as an optional checkbox that a customer can select if they want work done or not, and it will automatically add the price on based on what you have put in the box. This feature is one of my favorite parts about this program. I really like how the Google Maps seems to be connected internally Somehow when you put an address in and it’ll pop up how many miles you have to that location right away and you don’t have to go separately in and check it.
Cons
At first, we started out with an up charge for credit card processing fees and when customers would run their cards the system would automatically insert that charge for the customer then as time went on they later discontinued that feature now we have to figure out how to get it put on line items and it’s really quite annoying.

SingleOps Is "Liquid Schwartz" For Our Business
Reviewed on 2023/09/08

Upgrading to SingleOps has driven massive increases in efficiency: it takes us less time to take a lead, less time to generate a proposal, less time to get work scheduled, less time to get completed work invoice and less time to get paid for completed work. All of those processes were paper-driven for us prior to SingleOps, so utilizing these features in SingleOps have saved us tons of time. We have been able to normalize our pricing by setting up systems of utilizing specific items across all sales reps with costs and pricing built-in. We are able to track labor and expenses on jobs quicker and with better accuracy which results in more trustworthy job costing, which then in-turn, helps drive our pricing methodology. Finally, the data captured in SingleOps helps us evaluate trends over periods of time to drive operating decisions. Do we need another crewmember? Would the time-savings from buying this piece of equipment be worth it? Are we making money working on this type of a property? This information can be looked up quickly and reviewed or neatly exported.
Pros
The ability to keep jobs organized by items used, job type, sales rep, etc. has greatly improved our ability to track progress, schedule work, assign crews, purchase needed materials in a timely fashion, etc. We went from baskets and peg boards full of paper to a clean and efficient system of Job Management that has greatly improved our efficiency and productivity.
Cons
Hard to say what my least favorite feature is. In many ways, if there is some aspect of some part of the system that you don't like or don't want to see or use, you can update your experience via functions that allow users to save sorting criteria, for example. So within the Job Management page, if you want to always see the oldest jobs at the top or if you want to see different columns of data, you can make those changes and save the settings so the page will always load this way. When I have come across aspects that I thought could be improved or an experience that wasn't really working for me, I reach out to Support and I am always able to speak with someone who will listen to my concerns and either make an internal suggestion on how to improve something, or even help me to customize my experience or educate me on a particular function to show me how i can properly utilize something i wasn't understanding.

We signed on with single ops at the beginning of this year with high hopes for the system. The first few months were just training but we still had to pay for those months even though we were not implementing the system yet. Since we have implemented single ops into our daily tasks we have been running into issue after issue to the point that it’s more of a hassle to actually use the system then it is helpful or useful for our business. I have been paying for my employees to be able to use the app for the route, the app doesn’t even work, single ops is having us use the shortcut from the website instead. I paid close to $6000 for the CRM system and it has been nothing but a headache to use. I’ve been having many other issues with them as well. Very laggy system with lots of glitches, Random accounts going to zero and accounts disappearing from the route and accounts reappearing after being canceled. The credit card processing company is absolutely terrible, they have been holding over $10,000 for over 3 months now. Go elsewhere, i’m not the guy to write bad reviews but this is absolutely disappointing and now they’re not even allowing a full refund after all the countless problems we’ve been having, Plus on top of that we have lost several accounts due to the issues we have experienced. Signing up with single ops was one of the worst decisions we have made for our company, avoid at all cost!!! I’m going to Service autopilot much better system.
Pros
It seems like they got good ideas but nothing works properly, sales guy was really good because he sold me on this program.
Cons
Super laggy system and glitches up often. Support staff it’s horrible on fixing issues brought up

Helpful for organizing a tree business, but not a panacea

It's the right choice to help streamline the business and make it more scalable than a pen & paper operation, but it requires a ton of work still and creates some new processes that we didn't have previously.
Pros
It makes it significantly easier to have clients review & accept proposals and pay deposits without needing to call the office, which smooths things over. The email templates also streamline communication with clients.
Cons
The calendar doesn't sync well with Google Calendar (one-way sync, can't sync to multiple calendars for bids vs jobs, for example) and is somewhat clunky to use, so we are still using Google Calendar as our primary calendar function. We experienced major QuickBooks syncing errors that were ultimately unresolved, requiring me to manually sync a large number of clients (their support person was great in trying to help and figure out this manual workaround, but unfortunately there wasn't a way to fix it in the software itself).
Reasons for Switching to SingleOps
