TeamMate+ Audit Reviews

TeamMate is a great one stop shop for all things Audit. It keeps work papers very organized, has inherited segregation of duties (one person has to create a work paper, another review, another approve etc.). Its interface is very easy to navigate, and you can copy/paste/edit audit program templates to save time as well. Overall, I would say the department is very happy with it.

There were 2 major cons to TeamMate from our perspective. First, when you deleted a work paper in your procedures area, the link still stayed live in the references so it makes the references section messy and inaccurate unless you manually delete it there as well. Second, when we wanted to share our work papers with our external auditors, it makes it a bit difficult. You have to individually export all the work papers/attachments which makes it time consuming, yet we don't want to give our external auditors direct access.

The ability to map different dimensions to view controls based on different frameworks (when it works).

The system has a LOT of bugs and lacks a customer support team with the capability to help with them 99% of the time so you just have to live with the problems.

Upload/edit abilities are more flexible in terms of removing unwanted/unneeded files

layers/ layout is a bit overwhelming and easy to lose sight of open folders

new look is really nice and customization throughout

saving feature / advanced integration installer requiring admin credentials

I really like that it is a very user friendly program. It offers very nice organization and a layout that just makes logical sense. Given these qualities it makes organizing and maintaining audit files that much easier.

The one thing that I did not like about TeamMate is the trouble I have had with the check in/checkout feature. Various instances, I have had TeamMate not respond to button clicks for checking out or checking in. Additionally, I have had issues where I edit a document, check in that document, and the check in does not register despite TeamMate telling me it did. Therefore, next time I log in, my work is not updated and I lost all progress.

The customization of the backend to be able to make it work with our reporting and the support staff are very responsive and helpful.

As a user, the structure and format take a bit of time to get used to navigating. Secondly the bugs, for example. there's been different issues we've experienced with the teammate integration getting stuck so it can't open documents or check in which was causing lost work.

The ability to monitor in real-time the progress of each audit engagement and the monitoring of the responses generated from Management

Tables placed in the issues/findings are scrambled when the report is generated

Ability to notify auditee about overdue issue.

You can not edit risk assessment once you have submit.

The style and ease of operation. I can go in at any time and add and modify information.

TM+ signs-out too often. This is confusing because I always have to go back in and figure out where I am in the review process.

The GUI is modern and friendly. Most of the times it is fun to work with TM+, especially as champion user.

- I cannot understand, why there is no clear indication of an overdue Managment Action Plan for reporting. You have to work around due date and revised due date to get that info.
- Why is it not possible to import workpaper descriptions? We have to copy & paste each cell...

TeamMate Insights reporting function and TeamMate Analytics are useful tools to enable me to perform reporting and auditing duties efficiently.

Upgrades including efforts from IT are needed.

When compared to TeamMate, there is no need of support and maintenance work for the system and data backup.

When compared to TeamMate, it lacks of flexibility on bulk documents review / endorsement.

TeamMate+ has given us the tool we needed to power our journey to 'world class' auditing. It has really been a lifesaver since our office transitioned to home working - everything we need is still right there accessible securely through our browsers. A vast array of powerful features - and we're going to be using it as our entity's risk management software, not just our internal auditing software. It's making it easy for us to give our audit clients access to their reports, issues and recommendations - they provide us updates online - and soon will be adding their own risks and controls. The software makes it all possible and has saved us hours and hours of 'admin' time with its clever automation of audit tasks from recording time spent through to populating audit report templates. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others!

There is a bit of a learning curve having moved on from the prior TeamMate - and likely more so if you are totally new to TeamMate products... but this is balanced by the first class customer support that is available.

TeamMate+ helps organinize the testing in Risk, Control and test procedure objects that improves readability. Moreover the Reporting module helps generate reports to extraxt information across different audits

It can lag sometimes in loading the requested projects. But, other than that no lag issues or performance issues are noted

Teammate + Audit is a great tool to keep control over your audits, as everything pertaining to the audit is in one place. The green dot system makes sure that there is no need for back and forth communication when a section is ready for review. You simply follow the green dots.

The review process can be quite cumbersome. If this could be simplified so that if you have review rights the system automatically lets you do all functions of a reviewer without having to log in and out. Besides this, the software us awesome.
