Perfect for scale

Lowers manual data entry/process from 40+ hours a month down to 2-3. My staff spends their time doing things they WANT to do as part of the program, instead of spending it, well, doing admin work. Our entire nonprofit is run through this software and it makes scaling incredibly easy. Want a new chapter? Boom! No problem. The issue is finding someone to run it - not running it!

Pros

There's a character limit so - I love how versatile this is. Need a new feature? Just ask! Try getting someone from customer support at Blackbaud who can help you with this, because you can't. You're bound by Blackbaud's restrictions and what they decide they want to add, when they want to add it. Argenta is the complete opposite so if you need a feature - niche or not - they can help.

Plus, this is completely scaleable. If you're growing, they grow, too. Argenta is at the forefront of tech automation that nonprofits desperately need to get on board with, because it will help them lower cost in the long run, and lower volunteer attrition by minimizing the amount of administrative work that bores volunteers to death. I spent 10 hours trying to learn that the "free" Salesforce licenses I got will cost us (way more than Argenta) to build out to our needs, and Argenta had most of it already built in.

Above all else, the price is fantastic. Small to large, they have a price that fits you best. Monthly fee is way lower than anything else I researched. For our small nonprofit, it's perfect.

Cons

There is a whole lot about other websites that I can go on about what I like least about their software, but I don't really have anything about this one. Everything I see if I don't like it - is fixable.

A potential con for non-tech people is that this may seem overwhelming with the possibilities. If you have the patience for Salesforce, eTapestry, or Blackbaud, then you for SURE are capable of picking up Argenta in like, 1/10th of the time and with greater expertise. Think simply about what you want: what is the action you want from [x] feature? What's the problem you want to solve? Then build from there.

We migrated our entire digital business into one platform and it's been great!

We are continually impressed by the software overall. The amount of features available in a single platform is rare; every other product we evaluated had some but not all the features we needed until we found Argenta. Our digital landscape was segregated, and in pretty bad shape, the support team has been continual and supportive in helping us clean up and migrate our data into a single place. The result has been cleaner, more accessible data, and our small, nonprofit team can more efficiently manage our business processes. We spend much less time manually entering data in multiple places and let the software do the work.

Pros

The software is cloud-based as opposed to our previous on-premises system, which allowed us to come into the new age and access our data anywhere, anytime. There are so many features, and we haven't found a situation yet that doesn't already have a solution built-in. Hands-down, the most valuable part of Argenta is the support team. We have built a great relationship with our account manager and the support team. Any features we've needed or challenges we've faced are quickly overcome by their willingness to provide us with a great platform that works for our needs.

Cons

The system is massive, and there are so many features to use and understand, which could be both a pro and con depending on how you view it, but if you're willing and patient to learn, it's definitely more of a benefit.

Best response time, knowledgeable, simple yet complex, easily affordable, STELLAR!!

The benefits are unlimited. Easy to use, information all in one spot, easy to replicate, time saver, world wide access but totally secure and my favorite... the ability to have special reports created for our special needs.

Pros

The software's programmers speak english, and listen to your needs. They make the program work for you, not you working for the program. Everything is in one place. We used to be in four different programs supporting all that Argenta can do in one program. We love it.
Additionally, we are looking to replicate our program across the nation, this program has the ability to grow with us!

Cons

Our other systems didn't speak the same language as this new software. That led to a little confusion and some slight challenges in the 'data dump' from four systems to the one system. Having not done this before, the startup time took much longer than I expected. Not their problem, ours... but they made it as smooth a transition as possible to enable us to capture 95% of 15 years of old data correctly.

Everything we need. We canceled all our other subscriptions and saved tons of money.

It has changed the way we work. It saves us so much time because most of our processes are automated now. Every part works together and that is the best part. No more extra apps.

Pros

The customer service. We have a strong relationship with our account manager. She understands our operations and works closely with us so all of our daily work is covered. This software has everything we need. We thought we would have to supplement it with other apps, but no. They gave us everything for one price. They never charge extra for modules either, but they are always willing to build custom forms or apps for us.

Cons

We would like to have even more customization. It does take some additional fees to have items worked on.

Use of Argenta by Political Organizations

No business problems whatsoever. Devscape is a great organization to be helping us.

Pros

Intuitive and user friendly interface. Absolutely fantastic technical support. Basic database has been very adaptable to our needs for managing members, volunteers, and donors. Great company to work with!!

Cons

The software is so complete that it takes quite awhile to appreciate its full functionality and potential applications for our political needs.

Outstanding Value, Outstanding Service

We were able to drop other non-integrated platforms and are able to maintain data in a more efficient manner, using one multi-functional and dynamic system.

Pros

We are a small non-profit that had been keeping data in multiple spreadsheets--it was difficult to share and manage information. We were fundraising via annual appeal, recruiting new donors and learning group members, managing learning groups, coordinating events, maintaining document libraries and much more via spreadsheet and other individual, non-integrated platforms. It was cumbersome to say the least. Argenta has made our processes more efficient and our data sharing simpler and much cleaner. We are able to better track donations received, plan, publicize and track our events, view shared documents and manage our learning groups. We are saving money on a monthly basis as we have been able to utilize Argenta as a single platform with multiple function and software integrations.

Customer service is second to none. It feels like we are the only client, and we know that is not close to reality. Anytime we have an issue or request it is resolved in a more than timely manner. And we have made some suggestions around functionality we'd like to see, and these have been integrated into the platform. We are thrilled with this software!

Cons

The learning curve has been more challenging for some in our organization than others, but that has more to do with the tech experience and comfort of individuals, not the software itself. Sometimes we look for a place to enter data and we need guidance about the right place to enter it to be sure we get the functionality we are looking for. But these are very MINOR issues and we continue to overcome them with the excellent customer service we receive!

Argenta meets all of our needs!

Every once in a while we hit a bug. The software is constantly being upgraded so new features become available all the time. I love the support we receive though. Our account manager is quick to respond and always helpful.

Pros

We have to coordinate a lot of volunteers everyday. Before we started using Argenta, this was very difficult because our volunteers were in our CRM, but the volunteer sign-up was somewhere else. Now everything is in one place making it very easy for our volunteers to sign up for tasks.

Cons

At first I thought it would be difficult to learn because there's so much in there. It took a little time for me to realize that all of the sections work very similarly. Once I figured that out it became a lot easier to use. It takes a little time but once you get used to it all the features you get makes it worth it.
