Overall, my experience with Google Sheets has been highly positive. The intuitive interface, real-time collaboration, and versatile functionalities for data analysis make it a valuable tool. While occasional performance issues with large datasets exist, the collaborative features significantly outweigh any drawbacks, enhancing efficiency in various tasks

Pros

The real-time collaboration feature is a standout aspect of Google Sheets. It's incredibly convenient to work simultaneously with others, making teamwork seamless and boosting productivity.

Cons

At times, handling very large datasets in Google Sheets can lead to performance lags or slow loading times, especially when using complex formulas or extensive data manipulations.

Overall, for me, Google Sheets seems to be the best choice for a sheet app. It works great for my needs and integrates nice with Google Workspace.

Pros

The most I liked is that is an web based app, is safely stored in Google Drive and is accessible from any device. It works very fast even with large amounts of data and is not limited by the PC performance like Excel. Another great feature in my opinion is the sharing and collaborating within the sheet with ease. When sharing I have the option to give viewer or editor permission so I can allow just specific people to add data.

Cons

After switching from Excel, I found out that not all formulas are the same.

Overall Google Sheets is an essential tool for my small business and when collaborating with other people. If I ever get stuck on something, I just do a quick search and find the help I need. Sheets is powerful for formulas, filtering, sorting, and tracking edits.

Pros

I like that Google Sheets are accessible online and changes are live, so it's easy to collab with teammates. It's also really easy to comments and tag and assign it to other people to track edits, notes, etc.

Cons

There are a few features which I find easier to use in Microsoft Excel, so there's just a slight learning curve with Google Sheets.

Overall google sheets has been a great addition to our business and it helps our organization create great collaboration between our clients and employees.

Pros

Google sheets has been a great service to use. The thing I liked most about Google sheets was its integration with other apps and its ability for collaboration with others. It is an asset for any size business!

Cons

I notice that large data sheets took sometime to load especially if they were being accessed between multiple people but this never affected the end result or output aimed for.

Real Time Collaboration.

Pros

Real time collaboration; multiple people can be signed into and work on a spreadsheet at the same time. It avoids the "this file is in use" issue for sheets that are saved and access from a server. Conditional formatting is easy and straight forward.

Cons

Formatting can be wonky when copy and pasting from an existing table from another program.

Google Sheets has been an incredible tool for our organization. Especially through the pandemic quarantine, it enabled us to provide data entry options to staff who no longer had access to our intranet. In addition, it was able to create good looking reports from that data, aided by features like Conditional Formatting.

Pros

I love Google Sheets for the ease of use, excellent collaboration tools, and for all of the readily available resources and documentation out there.

Cons

Sometimes, when you have a larger spreadsheet, and multiple people accessing it, you can get some serious slow downs.

A Million Times Better Than Excel

Reviewed on 2024/03/18

Read above. I adore google sheets. It's the best program I have ever used.

Pros

Google sheets is better at collaboration and sharing, is a lot more user friendly, and is more intuitive than Excel has ever been or will be for the foreseeable future. The last time I tried to use the shoddy online sharing version of Microsoft, it made you reload the spreadsheet a number of times if more than one person was using it, which led to a ton of hassle and lost work. That has NEVER happened with google sheets. Google has all the functionality and formulas that excel has, but cell sizing, customization, collaboration, and user interface are all exceptionally better. Additionally, you can reference cells from other sheets in real time, and run code to automatically create docs and pdfs with Apps Script. Graphing is better and more intuitive than excel. Conditional formatting is easier to apply and manage. Data sorting is easier. Mail Merge makes emailing leads and customers a breeze. Just everything is better, and it's a fraction of the cost, if not just straight free.

Cons

I literally can't think of anything. I use it every day, and they are constantly coming up with new additions to compare to any functions excel has that they don't yet.

My overall experience with Google Sheets has been positive. Its collaborative features and ease of access make it a preferred choice for many projects. While it has some limitations with larger datasets, the advantages outweigh the drawbacks, especially for team-oriented tasks.

Pros

Google Sheets is highly accessible and allows for real-time collaboration, making it easy for teams to work together. The integration with other Google Workspace tools enhances productivity, and the ability to easily share and comment on documents is invaluable.

Cons

Sometimes, Google Sheets can be slower with larger datasets, and the formula capabilities, while robust, can feel limited compared to desktop alternatives like Excel for complex data analysis.

I use Google Sheets almost exclusively over Excel as it is more user friendly. I use it for my yearbook class so I can sort students, buyers, track sales and tasks. I love how I can color in cells if items are marked.

Pros

Google Sheets is a lifesaver for several of my classes. I am able to track data in an organized and efficient manner. The formulas are so easy to incorporate to track various things.

Cons

One of the main drawbacks for Google Sheets is combining cells such as first & last names without deleting the information in the rest of the cells. There was an add on that would do this, but it needs to be incorporated as a default option.

Anytime & anywhere. It is a perfect cloud-based tool for efficient collaboration. Being able to edit/ access from multiple devices and being sure all changes just get applied on the right/ unique sheet version is just great.

Pros

Collaboration capabilities are really great. I just started enjoying utilizing G-Sheets from day one. It is very easy to use, and its sharing features make it a great tool to foster collaboration and teamwork easily. Making sure all team members are just working on a single/ universal/ unique sheet version is efficient (avoid multiple unknown confusing version/s of sheet/s) and safe at the same time.

Google Sheets is a powerhouse when it comes to do its job. Is very easy to use, sharing is made fast and easy with needed permissions. Stored in the cloud and accessible everywhere on any device, blazing fast and ideal when more than one person needs to input data on the same time.

Pros

What i like the most at Google Sheets?
Stored in the cloud, secured by Google, two feature that are very important and you wont get them free anywhere else.
Sharing and collaborating on every sheet is easy, sharing can be made in 3 clicks, giving permission for each person is easy and fast too.
Formulas can get Sheets to another level, importing data from another Sheet, sort, make a chart ... everything works.

Cons

When there are many spreadsheets, formulas and conditional formatting the loading time for that sheet and other sheets where importing is done loads slow, error appears on formulas.
