Overall, using GolfStatus helped us consolidate all contributions, payments, sponsorships and registrations into one easy to use platform. I would definitely recommend it!

Pros

GolfStatus made our lives so much easier! This was our first tournament and I was amazed at how easy GolfStatus was to use. All of our players, teams and sponsors registered online through the GS platform. They could easily select the sponsorship they wanted and go ahead and upload their logo. I loved that, if it were only one sponsorship offered, then GS would mark that as "sold" so you weren't selling sponsorships that were no longer available.

We had several people mention how easy it was to register (easier than other platforms) and the reporting was super helpful for our own tracking purposes. They even added a donation link to our GS event, and we collected some unanticipated funds that way.

Then at the end, they sent us a check with our funds (minus fees, which were minimal). The thing I liked the best, though, was the customer service. [SENSITIVE CONTENT], our contact, was always there to help immediately if we needed help or had a question. On the day of our tournament, he was even on standby to make sure things went off without a hitch. Not many companies have the bandwidth to do that, and it made us feel much more confident using the platform.

Cons

There were a few adjustments that we wanted to make that, because of how the software was built, were not possible. We wanted to add fields on various pages, but some pages did not allow edits. But this did not impact our sales or the operations of the tournament in any way. More flexibility in editing the imagery and the pages in general would be helpful.

[sensitive content hidden] was so great to work with. Extremely professional and responsive. As a client you felt as though you were his only client in the way that he took care of your needs. The platform is amazing and user friendly. We received many comments about how professional our website looked. I love the idea of the additional fundraising options through the website and we definitely took advantage of them. I speak so highly of this company and have recommend it to many.

Pros

I love that GolfStatus provides a low cost or no cost solution for nonprofits. The customer service was AMAZING! I loved that I didn't have to build out the website myself, I was able to provide my rep with the data and he made it beautiful. I really like having access to the data at my fingertips. This is my second tournament and last year the course maintain the registration, this year I was able to see every registration and sponsorship instamatically as they came in which was a big plus.

Cons

I had no cons. So glad that we switch to GolfStatus by the suggestion of BackSwing Golf Events. Best decision ever!

[sensitive content hidden] was great to work with. He walked me through all the steps we should do. He was available right away the day of the tournament. The website was great to use and easy for people to navigate through. The day of the tournament we had problems with the app but [sensitive content hidden] was there getting everything fixed and entered the scores for us while we ate lunch so we could do our presentation on time.

Pros

The ease of getting people signed up, the paying of money online right away, the help of walking us through how to do everything we needed to do.

Cons

The GolfStatus app on the phone was not easy to use. It took us bout 45 minutes to get the things to work right.

Our overall experience with GolfStatus is an extremely positive one from pre-event, day of, and post event. The best part was the level of communication with our rep, [sensitive content hidden].

Pros

In 2023, our non-profit was putting on our first golf classic fundraiser. After months of trying to create the event (i.e. details, registration, etc.) on our website, it was clear that it would not be possible to do it by our registration launch date. Our [sensitive content hidden] found GolfStatus online, connected with a representative immediately and that rep was able to setup our golf event website in less than 5 days. The representative connected us with [sensitive content hidden], our account rep, who was instrumental in training us on the GolfStatus platform, available for Q&A with multiple departments in our organization, helped us troubleshoot, and took our feedback to GolfStatus who subsequently made the suggested changes to the platform. We couldn’t have done it without him. We were able to meet our registration launch date and went on to have a very successful golf event.

Cons

For the event page on the website, we were restricted from personalizing it to the level to which we are accustomed. Assembling golf teams could have been more user friendly. We were going to use the electronic disbursement option, but opted out when the process required access to all of our financials.

We enjoyed working with our rep, [sensitive content hidden]. He is very timely in his responses and was always willing to help when needed. The Golf Status website is very easy to use and there were no challenges.

Cons

Capability to integrate and auction. This would be helpful for tournaments that offer an auction and that it be fully through Golf Status.

Great customer service. Jon was assigned to me and was always available. He was always re-assuring me that we are in good shape and kept it upbeat and positive even when I was losing my mind. Response time before and after the tournament was great. Use of the emergency number helped.

Pros

I love having control over the teams and making changes right away. There are so much more that I see we can do but I didn't dive into it but will surely be more into the system next year. Loved being able to print the lists as soon as making changes. I'll probably utilize the sign options more.

Cons

I can't really say what I didn't like about it. We had a little hiccup, but it was more user error not being familiar with the system. Came up with a game plan for next year so we won't have that hiccup.

I WOULD RATHER YOU ADDRESS YOUR ISSUE WITH THE CULPRITS INSTEAD OF PENALIZING EVERYONE. WE USED THE DISCOUNT AND INVOICE FEATURE FOR SUCH A SMALL % OF FOLKS THAT I FEEL WE OVERCHARGED

Pros

I like the way it carries over year to year. The site is easy to change info when I need to. Moving golfers around, sponsorship info, etc.

Cons

I would like to see the availability of sending out emails to sponsors. Also, under "Orders and Payouts" i would like to be able to sort by what it is they paid for. ie. sponsors, registrations, non-golfer dinner, etc.

This tool was easy to use, provided so many integrated functions and looked very professional. I would recommend anyone planning a golf tournament to use GolfStatus. The program and the staff were amazing!

Pros

GolfStatus is an excellent program to assist novice golfers and novice event planners to create successful golf tournaments. I am not a golfer at all and I found this software very easy to use, functional and a one-stop management program for our 1st golf tournament.

Cons

There were a few features that were a bit tricky to navigate at first. (Registering golfers on their behalf, connecting sponsors with designated sponsorship level). I contacted our rep and he assisted us by giving details and tutorials for the task and all in a very timely manner. All of the issues that we may have had were rectified very quickly and other features that were tricky to navigate have all been fixed in the new version to be released in a month or so.

Having used the program for the past 3 years has allowed me to streamline the time needed for setup and running the tournament. I like how the registrants are added to the website, so everyone can see who's playing. I'm extremely pleased with the program and will continue using it in the future.

Pros

The client service is exceptional. Whenever I had a question, I could start a chat. The response time and answers were delivered quickly. As we considered other promotions, they also provided valuable feedback. These guys were great.

Cons

It would be helpful to have the ability to give more promotion to those sponsors who donate more to the cause. Limiting it to just one could be improved.
