My Go-To Voting/Polling Interactive

My original use of Vevox was to improve the Learning Centre induction experience & takeup of several hundred new learners at a Further Education college. Our satisfaction rates rose by over 15% to 95% following the introduction of Vevox into the sessions and the takeup the 2nd year was 100% of the curriculum areas. Since then I have used Vevox for workshop deliveries, with older learners and with volunteers. Every time that I have used Vevox the feedback has been positive and it has improved the learning experience. I would recommend Vevox for use with face-to-face groups or online.

Pros

This is such an easy product to use both from the creator and, more importantly, the user perspective. It has all the features that I want - a web version of the app, the app, the accessibility feature of both questions and answers being on the user screen as well as on the main screen, clarity of display (fonts, colours and contrast), word cloud creation, voting, polling etc. An important feature for me is the integration with PowerPoint. It is incredibly easy to add new Vevox slides to a presentation or to convert slides to an existing presentation. This is important in an educational situation where staff and students are already familiar with this software. It adds instant feedback, can be used with a face-to-face group and online, students of all ages find it fun to use and consequently it improves the learning experience.

Cons

I recently tested the Zoom integration for a presentation with Vevox embedded and found that some users with lower IT skills struggled. They found the fact that it was a Vevox link rather than a Zoom link confusing initially and then struggled with the split-screen. However, the same users found the vevox.app version on their phones or iPad really easy to use when I ran the session as a standard Zoom session with Vevox questions in a presentation. I'm providing feedback to Vevox about these experiences and anticipate, that with their excellent customer care, a solution will be provided quickly.

Pros

The live polling feature is by far the best, you can engage with your audience with no disruption over your powerpoint. This software is user friendly and more direct.

Cons

This software comes with everything that is needed and I don't think there are any cons as of yet.

Overall, the experience has been excellent.

Pros

Just using Vevox to add some polls into my meeting helped make things a lot more interesting. Attendees felt more involved, and there was a better energy!

Really Effective, Easy To Use Tool!

Pros

Have really liked using Vevox so far have been able to use the QR code for a poster for a webinar.And have used the product in webinars looking forward to using it again [sensitive content hidden] was very helpful and showed me more features that I could use - great service.I am not too IT literate but found it easy to use.

Revolutionise your company meetings!

Fantastic customer support and on-boarding! Great software, easy to setup and simple for colleagues to use and engage with.

Pros

We investigated using Vevox for the anonymous Q&A feature for our TownHalls and discovered so much more! Fun real time polls and quizzes which liven up the meetings and encourage interaction. It's so good that we've had to buy more licenses!

Pros

As a user, I have found the polling function extremely helpful. It is collaborative, quick and super easy to use. Have used in company meetings mostly but keen to explore other functionalities and see how they can support day to day.

Making work life more fun.

Don't like that in text poll answers can't be separated out so if someone reveals that they added specific text people will know that all the other entries in that box came from them.

Using vevox in support of teaching

I really like vevox as a interactive tool to gather independent (and group) responses. It is easy to set up and use, and also really easy for people to access polls/surveys that you make live. I have found it useful as a way of encouraging 'audience participation' and getting (and giving) immediate feedback. I have found it a useful tool to support learners while they are studying materials independently.

Pros

I like the ability to run polls & surveys in real-time sessions but also the ability to run surveys to support asynchronous learning (i.e. independent study). This has enabled me to increase engagement during live sessions, and get and give immediate feedback to learners. It has also enabled me to support learning & engagement in between live sessions. The ability to set up a monitored question board has also been helpful during live sessions, and also in between sessions.

Cons

There is a slight variation in the question types between polls & surveys - the 'word cloud' feature is useful with the poll format (although not available in 'survey').

Great product...even better support!

Its a really great and robust software that's posed very few, if indeed any issues, since we've been using it.
Clients love the simplicity of it and we love being able to deploy it for an event with such ease.
Functionality aside, the back end support we get from 'Team Vevox' is awesome: there's no problem to big and there's always the offer of a solution for our requirements.
Top product coupled with five star service. Top marks all round!

Pros

The software makes it so easy for us to engage with our audiences. Long gone are the days of spending hours uploading, importing, exporting and back end tinkering - I love the simplicity of being able to get the system up and running quickly and efficiently.

Cons

One of the best student response systems available

Very positive - especially the support provided by the company when needed and their ongoing relationship with customers such as myself, being responsive to our needs and requests.

Pros

Ease of use was our initial key criteria, for both staff and students. Vevox initially had a fairly limited feature set but it included the key polling types and a good Q&A feature, and also had a good PowerPoint add-in which helped our institutional transition from the previous system (Turning Point). Vevox continue to actively engage with their customer base to develop new features, and now has a really good range of question types - while still retaining that ease of use which attracted us in the first place. all other aspects of the system also continue to be developed - for example the admin dashboard is now a thing of beauty, and the web-based Present View is truly excellent.

Cons

The PowerPoint add-in is not reliable on our specific institutional classroom computers. Reasons include the software being virtualised, incompatibilities with our lecture capture system, and (often) user error. Its much smoother if you just plug in your laptop with it fully installed and ready to go, but even then it doesn't/can't support the newer question types. I understand a new plug-in is in beta which will hopefully overcome all of these issues.

Vevox for virtual internal team event

Great - easy to use and to implement into presentations! You can personalize the user experience through design of the polling platform and have different polling options too. It also offers an analysis slide to compare polling results and a simple instructions slide for your meetings when asking attendees to joint he polling platform. The customer experience was very efficient and relaxed too. There was no force or uncomfortable push on selling either. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was so informative and really cared about our experience.

Pros

The software looked appealing and easy to use when watching initial videos and exploring the product website. I really like the design and especially how it offered to integrate with PPT, which was a really important factor for me to use in our teams presentations.
I also really valued the fact that it offered free use of the tool for up to 500 participants with basic polling activities, this is rarely offered. I would have gone for the free option but wanted to explore more than the basic polling, so got in touch with the team who responded immediately and set-up a call to discuss the very next day. The VoxBot worked great and i really liked how you were offered a 1:1 meeting with somebody from the team to have a simple, easy conversation to answer questions on the product plus, discuss bespoke packages i.e. one off event use.

Cons

I'm familiar with polling so I was quick to adopt the tool.
Videos and 1:1 sessions are available - i did not take part in these but they seem very useful. Your sales rep is only an email away and quick to respond to questions. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] even kindly sourced an example poll i wanted to use in my presentation and shared screen and stepped through some basics with me.
My only feedback was the display of the results of the data, all of them being bar charts, it would be nice to have a pie chart display or horizontal bar chart option instead. Also to have the option to include photos on some of the polls for answers etc.

A great, easy and cheap way to provide interactivity in a meeting

We use them when clients ask for an interactive option not too expensive or when they call us for a meeting in the same week and no time for bringing clickers. Also in a showroom to energize it with Vevox instaled in several tablets.

Pros

It's very friendly to program and to teach to program. It is absdolutelu reliable and easy dor set up. I use it in events with 450 users and no wifi, just 3-4G working as web-app. I like I can reuse scheduled questions and surveys and a tablet to receive the questions from the audience. The power point add-in it is very useful and easy to program.

Cons

I think they are working on it but at this moment there isn't scoring questions for quizzes and some clients ask for it. Hope this will arrive soon. They ask customers for feedback and make changes in the app keeping it simple.

Honest Review about Vevox

- Anonymous Q&A and the ability to like/priorities comments is what sets Vevox apart from MS Teams Live events.

Pros

I really enjoy using the PowerPoint add-in, it makes my presentations way more interactive and engaging. The install and set up was very self explanatory and i was able to share this with other employees too. I have nothing but good feedback from my team when i use the install.

Cons

I would like to see the ability to perhaps dislike a comment in a live q&a or flag as inappropriate?

Good, could improve in some configurations need to be done by the users.

Pros

Integration with powerpoint, real time results, easy to use

Cons

In the first set-up is not so user friendly regarding all the formats or setups. It is fast to use if you do not want to personalize to your images or meetings but if you want to have a specific image of the meeting is not easy.
Also should offer the possibility of having different sessions voting or Q&A under the same meeting, could not find how to do it.

Vevox is great for both physical and virtual activities as it is very easy to use and there are many useful features that can help make a meeting more engaging.

Pros

Vevox is very easy to use for both the organizer and participants, and the design of the platform is very user-friendly, so even our less tech-savvy colleagues can easily navigate the platform. We've successfully used Vevox in our meetings over the past few years and have heard great things about it from our participants.

Cons

In certain areas, such as quizzing, other platforms may be more top-of-mind (Kahoot, for instance) as the quiz feature of Vevox may be a bit plain (ie. no winners, no competitive feeling).

A lifesaver during COVID and beyond. ensuring every employee had a voice and could interact seamlessly with senior management

Pros

Vevox is a game-changer when it comes to engaging your audience either face-to-face or remotely. It is easy to use and customise and ensures your audience is engaged and involved right from the start of any session or event. Anonymous with Q&A breaks down the barriers and builds trust with the audience who can see their questions on the screen and can vote on other questions. The polling features are great at getting people involved and judging feelings on important issues.

Cons

There's nothing to dislike. Easy to use and intuitive.

Advantages of Vevox

Very positive. It was enjoyed by the class and myself.

Pros

I liked the utility of the app, particularly that it could be deployed from a cell phone. At USC we discourage the use of laptop computers in large classes, making use of alternate polling tools on platforms such as Zoom, Blackboard and Canvas contradictory to our policy.

I also liked the various forms of data collection and presentation, allowing the instructor to frame inquiries in different formats. Again, all helping to strengthen engagement

Cons

Can't say that I had a bad experience with the app. On the occasion when I did have a technical issue with log on the Support response was prompt and successful in resolving the problem.

Great tool for anonymous feedback during virtual meetings

Pros

Vevox gives our employees a voice. Most importantly, they can give anonymous feedback that can be addressed in large meetings.

Cons

I would really appreciate it if Vevox could be integrated within Teams. It is highly frustrating having to share my screen on these large meetings and once in this Vevox screen, being unable to see on Teams if people are asking questions or raising hands without constantly having to flick between screens. The poll function for administrators could be a lot clearer. I find it hard to see if I have run the poll correctly for the audience and then stop the poll to then reveal the answers - it's all controlled at the bottom of the Vevox screen and just not very clear.

VEVOX is really here to stay

I was from Day 1 really enthusiastic about this tool, it changed the way we interact with our teams, in a much better collaborative way, sharing results and opinions is a must in our company

Pros

indeed all is a very smooth process, especially the part where you can use the data into PPT, great for last minute presentations, save out a lot of time

Cons

Maybe a bit minimalistic if you would like to create an in depth survey

We now have 6 different question types available within our surveys, with the added capability of setting correct answers to transform your survey into a self-paced quiz. Plus, there is the ability to customise to your set-up within the settings for anyone on a Presenter, Pro or Enterprise/Institutional plan.

2.LEADERSHIP BOARD NOT REALLY A REFLECTION OF TIME SENSITIVE WINNER

for poll questions with multiple questions, not the best. for q&a, word cloud, mcq with multiple answers, serves its function.

Pros

Q and A is good. Can rate by most likes, is real time. Once question is answered, can delete it. Word cloud is good too. Polling in real time.

Cons

Have to open each poll question one at a time, and not open multiple polls at a time. If i have two questions on the poll and those who finish the first question first, i want them to move to next question, they can't do that.

Thank you also for your feedback around running multiple polls at one time. Whilst it is only possible to have one live polling question type open at a time, before closing it to launch the next question, we do have a survey/quiz feature within dashboards where you can launch all questions at the same time allowing participants to work through at their own pace. You can also set correct answers on these for them to be marked as a quiz. Q&A Easy to Use

Very user friendly and recent updates fed though to all teams very quickly. If any tech errors I have found the customer support to be outstanding.

Pros

I use the Q&A function for regular global team meetings and questions can be asked prior to the event and during. I put the moderation function on. I like the fact the questions are anonymous so people are not afraid to ask tricky questions.

Cons

Haven't found anything yet. All updates are explained so nothing to indicate any cons with the system.
