Pros
The ability to track attendance in real-time is a significant advantage of ExpoPass. Event organizers can monitor attendee check-ins instantly, providing valuable insights into attendance patterns and allowing for prompt adjustments or interventions if needed. This feature greatly enhances the event management process and enables better decision-making based on accurate attendance data.
Cons

If you're looking for a onsite badging solution that helps avoid pre-printing madness and looks more polished than your in-house printer could be, I highly recommend trying them.
Pros
I have only good things to say about expopass. We use Swoogo as our registration provider, which is lovely, but they don't offer onsite badge printing services. The companies they've traditionally partnered with require us to pay for one of their staff members to come to the event, which places us way out of our budget. In the past, when we used Cvent, we used their Event in a box product. This is expo pass's version, and it works wonderfully! I've used them for 2 events now, with an attendance of 300+ and I've had no issues getting the equipment set up. I usually go in to our setup call having everything ready, and if there are any minor issues, I can address them in that call. Printing quality is great, the ipads and online portal are easy to use too.
Cons
I will note - if you have any attendees that like to have a long night out and get into mischief, they may need a badge reprint if you're using their reinforced paper stock (this was the exception though, not the rule!).

Easy to use product; appreciated the 1h call onsite to help us set up the equipment; everything ran smoothly, we had no issues. Packing was quick, instructions were clearly explained. Our attendees were impresses by the fact they could print their badges onsite. No need to have hundreds plastic badges on large tables. We used 3 iPads and 2 printers and it looked really nice and professional. We spent time sourcing for vendors and found Expo Pass pricing very competitive and appreciated the clear communication with their sales team.
Cons
My only issue was that some of the badges after 3 days of conference looked a bit curved and not flat; but we just had to re-print badges for those who wanted to have new badges.

Our experience with Expo Pass was amazing - they were very hands on to the extent that we needed them to be. They are great at info-gathering about your event to make sure that you have exactly what you need to make your event successful. Everyone on our event team was pleasant to work with and quick to respond!
Pros
The team, no doubt! Everyone that we spoke with was amazing to work with and incredibly helpful.
Cons
The only thing I somewhat disliked about Expo Pass was 100% our fault and in the end, ended up not being a "con" at all. We downsized our event from 500 to 250, and it felt like we were wasting money on all of these badges we couldn't use (again, not Expo Pass's fault AT ALL). TURNS OUT - those are technically badge "credits" and we can use them any time throughout a one year period - meaning they weren't wasted for us at all and can be utilized at our event in the fall.

They worked on short notice to get us set up as a new customer, answer the million questions I had, and were with us every step of the way to ensure we were prepared for our event. I really liked how customizable the badges were too.
Pros
Delivery of the kiosks and printers was on time and secure. Setup was simple and the overall labeling and boxing of the equipment made it easy to follow. When the event was over, we simply packed it and left it for pickup.
Cons
Because we used a third party registration system, we did have some issues with our external QR codes not always syncing. This was minimal but did cause disruption for a few of our guests.

We loved how easy Expo Pass is to use. From the initial sales call to the day of our event, we had no issues with the platform. Our attendees, staff and vendors all loved this and we've already recommended Expo Pass to several companies.
Cons
Our Andriod users had a few issues getting the app to work, but all of the issues were resolved by tech support.

Expo Pass swooped in when we were having a very difficult time with another badge printing provider...
Expo Pass swooped in when we were having a very difficult time with another badge printing provider we had been using. We made a last minute decision to change providers, and Expo Pass was there every step of the way. We were in a huge time crunch, plus implementing this new program through the holidays didn't help things, but the team at Expo Pass was able to pull everything we needed together and we were set with time to kill! We chose to have the team help us set up for our 1800 person event virtually, and it couldn't have been easier! The boxes that the equipment ships in is superb, there is a lock on every box, and there were step by step instructions if I had forgotten anything when moving our registration table downstairs the following day. A huge step up with lots of room to grow should we choose!
Pros
Ease of use, included router (no third party rentals needed), the ability to customize the artwork for name badges, the printers for the badges.
Cons
I would love to have some sort of status bar that lists how many people have checked in vs registered. Since we do a white glove service and check in and print name badges for our attendees, it's nice to be able to see where you are at.

The product and the customer service is excellent. We use self checking, badge printing, badge scanning, the event app and the lead retrieval for our exhibitors. All of these products are very strong and have elevated our events by providing better services to our attendees, giving our organization a better image by embracing new technology, and it has saved us so much time and work! After trying Expo Pass for the entire 2023 we decided to renew our contract for 2024.
Pros
The self checking process is so quick and effective. We also like the badge scanning. It makes scanning badges for CEU's a breeze. Scans are very reliable.
The event app is solid!
Cons
The upload of the exhibitor list (for lead retravel advertising purposes) is terrible. This is the one weak experience with Expo Pass. They should correct this issue.

The cost is a tiny but higher than we would expect. They charge for each registration even if the registered perosn does not attend and check in for the event.

We were able to simply incorporate our event's online registration forms that we created and customised with Expo Pass into our pre-existing websites. The procedure moved quickly and easily. Attendee management is simple, and our staff rapidly mastered it. We also used the event app and began experimenting with session monitoring; we will keep improving on the appropriate usage of these features with subsequent events. We paid extra for the on-site badge printing feature for one event, and it impressed our attendees and kept the check-in lines moving quickly while being smooth and updating instantaneously. We printed the badges ourselves at a different event to save money, and we were equally pleased with how simple it was.We found the price of this platform and the functionality to be in line with our demands, although I wish adding on-site badge printing for each event wasn't so pricey.
Pros
With Expo Pass, registration setup and administration are simple. We jumped right in and rapidly organised our event. It is inexpensive and simple to use, especially if you create your own badges. The on-site badge printing was outstanding, and the support for this product is excellent.
Cons
Expo Pass may not have as many frills, whistles, and customization/integration possibilities as other registration platforms, but we found that its simplicity matched our needs and came in at a reduced price, which was wonderful.

Very happy with the company and product! Our attendees have generally had high praise, and I've even heard "This is the best event app I've ever used!" once or twice. The badging experience has bad top tier - our attendees love the simplicity and our team loves the speed at which we can get people checked in. Besides the price being a little high for our small business, we are very happy with Expo Pass and are excited to see it grow and add new features.

Clean, easy to use UI. Team behind the product is fantastic. Few to no bugs or issues. Customizable and adaptable to our needs.
Cons
Occasional bugs or issues with phone app. Magic links seem to be foreign concepts to most users. A touch expensive for a small business.

They also work with you on your contracts and keep in mind the cost of running a registration system and the impact it has on your bottom line.
Pros
Setting up the registration page is very user friendly and if there are any problems you have a one on one customer support team member who gets back to you almost immediately.
Cons
I would like for the first part of the registration page to be able to have the last name listed first and the first name after.

Our organization has used EXPO Pass for the last 2 years and just signed a 2 year contract to use for the next 2 years. I love the access to support during the planning phases, as well as the overall ease of the app for our attendees. Our attendees love to build their schedules and sessions, read about the options for breakout sessions and even access to their social media pages to be able to connect.
Pros
Expo Pass has an amazing support team that walks with you from your event, start to finish. Their customer support is unmatched! They can help provide solutions to any question I have ever had, from scheduling calls to help, to sending tutorials to walk through any question I had. I recommend EXPO pass to anyone planning a large event!

Once recommendation that I have is when I needed immediate assistance during our registration, I wasn't able to connect on the phone with anyone with the number that was provided. Having someone to be able to talk to right away helps with the immediate issues during registration!

The majority of the people at ExpoPass are great to work with, but the gross limitations to the system do not warrant the price tag. It would not have looked as nice, but I could have almost all the same functionality through a Google From that I received registering with ExpoPass.
Pros
The app and registration interface is beautiful. Printing badges is pretty quick and also aesthetically pleasing.
Cons
There are several aspects of ExpoPass that needs to be corrected for Conference with 1000 or more attendees, CEU tracks, group registration needs, or multiple sessions offered simultaneously. I've delineated the issues below:
1. Registration Page set-up has minimal customization at the time of our conference (Sept 2024). As a User there is no way to indicate where you want your questions to show up on the ExpoPass registration form, nor what order you want the options from a drop down box to appear (ie. alphabetical order, number order, etc).
2. Session selections have no internal logic. Registrants can select multiple conflicting sessions. For example, if between 1pm and 3pm there are 4 workshops, at registration there is nothing that prevents a person from selecting all 4 of those workshops and registering for them. This plays havoc on the ability to know actual registration numbers verse mistakes. Additionally there is no way to make any session selections time slots mandatory so registrants easily look over session hour options, or for multi day events, miss the subsequent days because they did not select each day through the small drop down box at the top of the page. Additionally if you do see that box and move to the next page, it does not begin you at the top of that page, but rather in the same x/y position as the previous page.
3. Once a person is registered there no way to print their session selections. Session numbers cannot be printed on badges, mail merges, or even exported as an excel database. You have 2 options to retrieve this data, either export the
"Session Pre-registration URL" which you can click for every user to see their selections, or you can download the Session Attendance report which is a roster for who is signed up for individual sessions. Neither report is useful if you want to look at what a group of individuals selected (or failed to select because they overlooked something, see number 2). Additionally the URL once opened does not indicate on the open browser whose sessions you're editing. When working in spreadsheets you must be VERY careful to avoid mistakenly selecting Joe's URL when attempting to edit Jane's URL because once the URL is open it does not tell you whether you are looking at Joe's or Jane's session options and since you can't pull a report on those options mistakes are easily made.
4. The only way to register groups through the system is through a Promocode system. We have several schools and Churches who register groups for our conference, and creating promocodes and invoicing those groups for their group amount through the promocode they purchased was our only option. This became cumbersome as promocodes at the time of our conference (Sept 2024) could only adjusted by the user to be either unlimited or one time use. We needed to create an additional database of promocodes and work with ExpoPass' Dev Team to ensure the appropriate limits were set, the promise was that these limits would take effect 1 to 2 business days after the request but in reality it was up to a week or beyond since the Dev Team would only review those requests weekly. Additionally the promocodes are tied to Registration Level and not to individual registrant. This makes sense in a "Tiered Ticket" scenario but for CEU tracks that have the same value as General Admission tracks this is a complete mess, as groups like schools and Churches who need promocodes to register their groups will have multiple different track needs. There should be an option to tie a promocode to the registration at the end rather than only to tracks.
5. The Exhibitor tab is completely unusable. When an exhibitor is inputted into the Exhibitor tab the ARE NOT included with the credentials that are printed. They need to be added to the Attendees tab in addition to being in the Exhibitor tab. In the Exhibitor tab only one person can be link with an exhibitor company. We have several publishing companies who come to exhibit at our conference and every one of them will send more than one person to assist at their exhibitor booth. This is "rectified" in the exhibitor portion of the app, but even there exhibitors can add their own personnel, but none of that info gets to the User and thus none of their personnel gets credentials for the event.
6. Attendees cannot also be Users. A User in ExpoPass is anyone who has access to the data to add attendees, manipulate sessions, or scan attendees at session doors for CEU tracking. For example, me as the client could not be registered as an attendee at my conference if I wanted to also control the data at my conference. The way around this is to create a separate email and generate 2 different sign-in profiles, one as a user and one as an attendee.
There are many more problems, but the max character limit is 5000. Other issues to ask about: inconsistent capitalization across platform, Spanish options, if/than logic needs, and more.
Reasons for Switching to Expo Pass
Cvent was out of our price range, and regfox scanning ability is tied to the scanners device and not the registration platform.Response from Expo

Pros
The Expo Pass team did an outstanding job supporting the Net Zero Conference registration process. From seamless online registration to incredibly efficient onsite badge printing, everything was designed to make check-in quick and easy for our attendees. It was clear that our guests enjoyed a positive experience thanks to Expo Pass’s user-friendly approach.
Cons
One area that would elevate the experience even further would be networking capabilities in the app to provide more opportunities for our attendees to connect and engage with each other. Also, having an in-app exhibitor floor map would also be a great addition for easier navigation of the expo hall.
