Amazing. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better team to help our business with this transition. The entire Paw Partner staff has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and continuously gone the extra mile for us. The product is easy to use and saves us both time and energy. Paw partner came to our rescue.

Pros

There was a lot that drew us to choose paw partner. Integrating our boarding, grooming, and pool therapy into one system. Automated confirmation messages, client access to check reservations, request new ones, and update their pets info from an app or website. The ease of tracking commissions and fixing commissions if there are any mistakes, the great team Paw Partner has put together to walk us through and continue to help us as we’ve used the product. Friends and foes system to help us place dogs in friendly play groups without a ton of notes in a word doc or cumbersome excel sheets. Helpful color coded tags to help identify any special needs an animal may have. Easily identifiable expired vaccinations and icons for intact pets. Everything about Paw Partner took what we were already doing, or trying to do, streamlined it, made it easier, and less time consuming.

Cons

After working with our previous software for 15 years the switch to someone new took some time but the Paw Partner team always went the extra mile in helping us. Whether it was hopping on Zoom or a call to walk me through setting something up, making video tutorials to help us train our staff, giving us guides and helping us reach out to our clients to inform them of our switch to Paw Partner.

Love Paw Partner

I have had Paw Partner for just about a year now and I really do like it. I highly recommend them!

Pros

The price is extremely reasonable for the service you get. I always get a very fast response when I need help or have questions. When we met Savannah at the 2023 trade show, she mentioned Paw Partner having high standards. I loved that because I always say I have high standards when it comes to dog boarding. We saw Savanah again at the 2024 trade show and she helped me with some stuff I needed help with. They are really good with support.

Cons

In NC, we need to have the owners name, address, phone # and emergency contact info readily available for the inspector. Paw Partner’s run cards do not have that info on them. I don’t have internet out in our kennel area, so it’s not like I can keep a computer out there to pull up that info for the inspector. That info doesn’t print well from the location it is on Paw Partner. Anyway, it’s a minor inconvenience that makes extra work for me, but certainly something I can deal with given all the other good things about Paw Partner.

Support is quick and easy to get. No question or request is a bad one- I am always welcomed.

Cons

Would like to be able to change service name. For example, my local area does not allow for me to use the word 'boarding' due to being home based. Instead, I must list my services as 'overnight pet sitting'. Additionally, I utilize the 'Training' portion for "drop ins" at clients home. Both titles of "Boarding" and "Training" cannot be edited.

I love how easy to use it is, and the amazing customer service. They're so easy to get ahold of and quick to help me with any questions. I've used ither softwares and this, in my experience, is by far the best!

Cons

I wish there wasnt two different pages one for services and one for pricing. Itd be phenomenally easier if those two were combined. I often find i miss a step or forget to add something because of having to go between those two pages.

From the moment I started putting my business together to a year later into running it, Paw Partner has been a wonderful tool. Everyone involved from onboarding to technical troubleshooting has been prompt and helpful. I knew when I found Paw Partner, that this would be the app I wanted for my grooming business.

Pros

I love how easy it is to keep track of everything for my business (appointments, clients, grooming notes, daily reports, etc). Has everything to help my business stay organized and grow. The Technical support and customer care have ALWAYS been responsive with any issues or concerns.

Cons

Not having an online user manual pdf to master all the ins/outs of the booking app and make the most of the system.

Great price, ease of setup. The involved trial period and onboarding meetings gave it a personal touch. Really liked that I was able to speak directly to people who know the program in and out vs a chat bot. I'm not held to a contract that would prevent me from recovering client information should I no longer use the app.

I recommend Paw Partner to everyone I know in the animal world. It has made it possible to grow my business without overloading my staff. My clients love it also. It has really helped us keep our clients and their furballs organized and also helped us stay connected to our clients. Some of our clients message us on the app just to say "Hi". It's great! The few drawbacks for me are really just me being knit picky. Overall, I'm so happy that I signed up with them and wouldn't give them up for the world.

Pros

The customer service is amazing. Fast responses, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I love the timeline for pics. I got rid of social media the minute I signed on with Paw Partner and I will never go back to the toxicity that is social media. My clients can see pictures and interact with us through Paw Partner and do so more than they ever did on social media. I also love that this system is an all in one for me. So many other systems don't have everything that I need. This does it all for my grooming salon, boarding kennels, doggy daycares, retail and front end POS. So nice to have everything in one program. It is also user friendly and easy to navigate. I like the fact that they are constantly reviewing their clients input and making changes or adding things in based on that input. I think that is why they have everything I need for my business. It's based off of real life experience. One last note: The recently integrated Paw Payments is wonderfully easy to balance against the bank records and completely transparent. One hundred percent better than any other credit card processing company I've used.

Cons

There is one customer service person who I really don't like. I do not find her efficient or knowledgeable. She just irks me. However, the rest of the team is awesome. I do wish they had a list of training videos, in some type of order, so that when I hire new people, I could sit them down with the videos to watch in that order for them to learn how to use the system. I know there's videos on YouTube, but a busy, not tech savvy person like myself, could really use just a spoon fed, here ya go, everything in one folder, in order, training videos program vs. searching on YouTube. The only draw back for the Paw Payments I've encountered thus far is that it takes a few days to go from client making payment to being in the bank. There's a one day lag Monday through Thursday and Friday - Sunday I normally don't see in my bank account until Tuesday. It'd be nice if the weekend sales would come in Monday.

I had very little knowledge of it previously. I’ve been using it for two weeks when our business opened and I have learned a lot. I’ve made two training meetings since we’ve gone live and they have been super helpful.

Pros

Everything is all in one place from policies and agreements, services, addons, updates, messaging and so much more.

Cons

How to get to things so many ways can be tricky. I figure it out one time then somehow do it differently the next time. More tabs with options less steps to get to where you need.

Overall, I loved this piece of software. Not being able to continue to use it is honestly my biggest disappointment in choosing to discontinue offering grooming services. But I would absolutely recommend Paw Partner to any salon or kennel needing scheduling and records maintenance software.

Pros

I loved how all of the information any salon would need (client information, pet information, grooming notes, vaccination records, etc.) was all in one place and completely took the place of note cards. I love that clients could self-schedule if they desired and how easy the app it to use. It had a very flexible scheduling format and all aspects of the services, pricing and scheduling was very easy to update.

It truly is flexible enough to be able to accommodate nearly any function I needed from it. There was literally 20 different ways to get to whatever screen or option you would want to navigate to.

The support received was phenomenal- on any issue or question I had- no matter big or small.

Cons

There are some functions that are counterintuitive and can be quite frustrating for a new user (even after explaining to my staff that clicking on hyperlinked text will almost never take them to the screen they are wanting to pull up-- if it's not a drop-down, icon or button, don't click on it..... except for that one-off hyperlinked text that will get you to where you want to go).

Once one has figured that gotcha out, it all generally becomes much easier and more functional to use. The only other change I would want to see that would make using it easier is to make manually reserving appointments on the calendar view easier and more intuitive when taking new clients (scheduling existing clients this way is SUPER easy, but if they aren't currently in the database, it's pretty frustrating to be on the phone with a new client-- who typically doesn't want to provide their information until after establishing an appointment date/ time-- establish an appointment date and time, then create the customer and pet profiles, go back in to reserve the time and it was swiped by another client while you were creating the customer profile).

While I didn't have much need for it while I offered grooming, I know that many salons would like to be able to set up split commissions between their groomers and bathers, and Paw Partner doesn't currently offer this as an option.

Pros

The absolute best feature is just how responsive they are to any questions we have. They're always happy to set up a meeting if needed, but every ticket question I send in is responded to within an hour or two at max, most of them far quicker too.

Nothing yet, everything has been going well and we have no regrets about our decision to go with Paw Partner.

We explored a lot of different software programs and took our time researching what we thought would work best- Paw Partner hands down gave us everything we were looking for. The customer service is top notch from the first day we called. They have helped every step of the way and are quick to respond with questions and met with us multiple times.

Pros

Paw Partner is an incredibly easy and intuitive software to use. The integration from our prior software was flawless. Customers have nothing but great things to say about the app and the ease of making reservations.

Cons

The credit card vendor associated with Paw Partner hasn't been able to match our current rates yet so we chose not to use this feature.

Pros

Paw Partner checks all the boxes. I needed a software that would allow for customers to schedule themselves and prevent me from taking unnecessary time to manage scheduling. The payment process is easy for both me and my clients. Anything that I have been confused about has been completely explained and the support has been amazing!

Cons

There really isn't too much to dislike about Paw Partner. The only thing that has been a little tricky for me has been when my customers want to handle partial payments. They cannot do this through the website and thus I have to meet them in person or chat with them over the phone to work out half payments.

Being able to cancel and make appointments from the calendar was a game changer. I love how it’s so easy to use and learn. I’m already using this software better in 3 months than my other software for a year.

The only complaint I have about this software is that you can’t select any time when schedule through the quick reservation tab like you can when scheduling on the calendar

There are slight glitches on occasion when there is a feature update but they are on top of getting them fixed very quickly. Glitches never result in a crash or stark failure not is it ever a critical glitch when I’ve addressed one.

We cannot say enough good things about the staff at Paw Partner. They are available 7 days a week, respond in a timely manner and have been gracious enough to help with every inquiry we've made-as it relates to the software or business in general. As a new business, they have been an excellent asset that we're so incredibly grateful for!

This software has been simple to use and is easy to access from any location with their app feature.

The pricing fit the value we were looking for and their customer service staff took the time to run through demos and show us the benefits of the program.

I love the dog tracking, invoicing, reporting, event and training options, keeps track of spaces and task assignments to employees to insure all things are handled properly

Pros

Functionality, makes changes easily, tracks dog friend trends and behaviors, excellent record keeping of historical data on dog behaviors, easy to print run cards on check-in, customizable EVERYTHING, it is a lot to set up but once it's up its GREAT and very easy to change as your business does,

Cons

App Notifications!!! When a new appointment has been made the app should show a new notification, I'm missing appt requests for failure to manually go in and look every hour

Reasons for Switching to Paw Partner

The staff, the fact that they run their own dog-bizz and know what our needs are, that they have internal techs upgrading and changing and improving at all times, that they wanted our business to be successful in a genuine and personal way. The Tech Support and set up always responding to my emails at all hours or even when they traveled for trade shows. Dedicated group of passionate people I could stand with.

We love Paw Partner! We were on Pawfinity before and while it was okay, but all of the problems we did have on the old software have not been an issue on Paw Partner. During my Demo with them, they answered all of my questions and were incredibly eager to make sure to address all the concerns that we had right away. They were upfront about what their software couldn't do (yet), and have been making updates several times a month, which shows how active they are in making sure their software is functional at all times.

Pros

I love that the software has so many features, without feeling lost or overwhelmed at everything. Paw Partner did a great job with the setup and design, though it does take a little getting used to, as with every software change. The most impactful for us was the top-tier customer service. Any time we had questions or concerns, their support team has been right there to help us, from our initial video chat for the Demo to a concern that went all the way to the head of the company. They have answered every single one of our concerns or questions and you can tell that they actually care about their clients and making sure they have the best experience possible. And they are open to suggestions for ways to make the software more functional, so you can always leave them suggestions!

Cons

The only thing that I don't like (and it's not even really a dislike, more so just an inconvenience) is that you have to go specifically to the owner's profile card to get their phone number or info, you can't access it from the pet's profile card.

Reasons for Choosing Paw Partner

We used Pawfinity for about a year or maybe a little more, and while the software was okay, it had some features missing that really was putting us in a bind. The biggest one was not having the ability to have baths as an add-on item. You can have baths as a grooming function, but not as an add-on. My facility doesn't do grooming, we just do exit baths so having grooming listed as service was confusing to our clients. We had 2 very large transactions go missing, like right at $1000.00 each, and then 2 more much smaller transactions, and those are just the ones that we caught, and we never received a final answer from IT. When we switched from Pawfinity to Paw Partner, they have you do an exit question about why you left. The creator responded to mine by telling me that Paw Partner had failed security tests (which wasn't true) and that their software passed them, and also stated that if Paw Partner claimed to care about security, they couldn't fullfill that. He also tried to say that I never responded to them regarding the payments but I was actually the last response, they had stopped responding to me.

Some products didn't have the features that I needed, others seemed to way too involved and complicated. What sold me on Paw Partner was their customer service and the fact that they started from an actual daycare/boarding facility, so they knew more about what features were needed and would help.
