My experience with Zoominfo has been amazing, I was able to find out when people are looking for our services and reach out to them to close some bussiness.
Pros
What is not a pro of this tool! it has everything!! I'm able to find all my contacts for a business and everything I need to know about them. Helping my closing right when talking to new clients.
Cons
There are no cons with this platform, this tool is amazing for sales teams to get more new clients, and able to see what they are looking to buy.

Overall, it's an extremely helpful tool for sales, that can be customized to your organization's needs.
Pros
As I use it to find correct data for prospecting or simply enriching existing contacts -helps understand the organizations hierarchy and look up targeted contacts in targeted roles. Love the buyer intent tool, that shows if any companies are researching your software, and allows focusing on targeted outreach.
Cons
Have found that it's not the best for prospecting outside of US. EMEA & APAC data is not so widely available.

It just works!from intent, through to insight, through to finding contact details and automation, the process works smoothly and accurately.it's always in my first few software choices when building a stack
Cons
pricing is a hassle - just show me the real price instead of teasing with something that's going to drop by 40% anyway.more credits are always useful, and different payment terms for startups would be appreciated when trying to bootstrap

It's ok. You never know what you are going to get when you make a call. A lot of incorrect information, but also have generated many leads.
Pros
Great way to get connected with potential customers via email, call, or location visits.
Cons
TONS of out of date information. This site is database driven instead of AI, so it required constant maintenence, which doesnt seem to be getting done. I call so many places and staff members no longer work there, or wrong email/phone information.

It was great before DiscoverOrg bought them and is surely improving by the day with DiscoverOrg.
Pros
Contains probably 80%+ records that have email address and/or direct dials. It is way more accurate than the data offered by other providers. Their accuracy is in line for what it should be, especially in today`s economy with unemployment being so low, and employee churn being so high. Despite these factors, I`d say their overall data accuracy is easily north of 70 - 75%, even with the above-mentioned data decay (which exists no matter what vendor you consider).
One other tool that helps to narrow down the list of contacts in a larger organization, is to search with filter to find only recently verified contacts.
Cons
It`s a little pricey, but there`s a lot of value too. The only other criticism is that unless you pay for a large number of "points" (contact that you can download in bulk) you are relegated to copy and paste at the individual level. It`s a bit cumbersome (by design), but I have used it as-is for years, without the additional credits.

Overall it has worked well. I did consider integrating with our CRM to add complete contact details when we had information missing, but it made me nervous with privacy laws so I did not do that. Overall the software works well and does what it should, I just wish there was a little more flexibility with segmentation so all companies could be found in a specific market.
Pros
I really like that I can look up complete contact details for individuals we've talked with but may not have complete info.
Cons
The only thing I've found that I don't like is that when I compare information from ZoomInfo with other platforms like Dunn & Bradstreet, D&B is able to find more companies and contacts than ZoomInfo. However, to be fair, it works the other way around too where ZoomInfo finds some that D&B does not. I wish the segmentation could be more broad, then drill down from there.
Reasons for Switching to ZoomInfo Sales
We also considered IIR and Dunn & Bradstreet. We went with D&B and ZoomInfo as they had the most accurate company and contact details.- Industry: Computer Software

Disaster. Their sales strategy is to promise a lot, give big discounts to get you to sign, eventhough they know thay can't deliver. The only advice is NOT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT with them.
Pros
Nothing. They can't deliver the data they sell.
Cons
Zoominfo promises high data quality but it is very poor. Everything is possible in the sales process. After signing the contract, they do not live up to their promises at all and threaten legal action etc. even though they are fully aware that they cannot deliver what they have sold. Their onboarding employee said " we know that the dataquality in Europe is poor due to GDPR", but still they promise 95% correct data.

ZoomInfo turned out to be a masterclass in over-promising and under-delivering. I was baited by their shiny claims of superb lead generation and marketing tools, but once they got my money, the reality was as lackluster as a burnt-out bulb. The features they boasted about? More like a mirage.Don’t get me started on their “customer support.” I've had more engaging conversations with a brick wall. Emails, phone calls, social media - all ignored. Meanwhile, they have no problem spamming me with their own messages.I wouldn't wish this level of frustration on anyone. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for services that actually care about their customers and can back up their claims with real action.

Ease to identify and qualify leads which are truly actionable and result in conversations that lead to true sales.
Cons
Have to toggle to HubSpot for some of our other sales needs so it isn't a one stop sales shop for us but the qualification of leads is worth the extra applications.

Zoom through prospecting with ZoomInfo

Overall the experience with ZoomInfo has been great. We transitioned from legacy DiscoverOrg, which, was very outdated and limited us to only a specified amount of accounts and their information. ZoomInfo has opened us up to a whole new world when it comes to prospecting.
Pros
The ZoomInfo platform is super user friendly. The UX is very intuitive and easy to learn. We primarily use ZoomInfo for exporting lead contact information into our Salesforce CRM. We also enable alerts on target accounts to give us up-to-date information on the account that we use in outreach—keeping us relevant in our personalized communications to leads.
Cons
Not a major pain point, but the integration with Salesforce does not use "fuzzy" logic. For example, if I am exporting a lead to an account that already exists in our Salesforce, but the account name in ZoomInfo differs slightly from what is in our Salesforce CRM, the accounts will not match. For example, an account might be named "Acme Inc." in ZoomInfo but we may have the account named "Acme" in our Salesforce. This will not pick up as a match, and then we will have to search for the Account, otherwise a new account will be created, creating a duplicate record.

An option to add or edit info as per need, multiple ways to reach out targeted contacts and accounts.
User friendly, even a first time user can work effeciantly & effectively.
List matching & cleaning options, bulk verification within clicks.
Cons
In my opinion the scrolling through option while using multiple tools, like Linkedin SalesNavigtor should be little different or more improved.

We wanted a prospecting tool that helps us in finding new contacts that might be interested in our products/services. The tool has helped us in designing personas and then getting data out for lead generation activities.
Pros
I would say it is very easy to use when it comes to the best thing about ZoomInfo. The intent tools are great and help in finding out up to 6 topics per account. The UX are good. The chrome extension is good that helps in visiting any website and finding out the contacts within that company.
Cons
The data that we have been getting is inaccurate, we have contacted Zoominfo a few times and they said that they check data every 6 months, in 6 months people do change jobs which results in high bounces. Secondly, it is very expensive, whereas competitors offer great pricing (Cognism, etc). I mean the idea of it is really great but in reality, it is not the most recommended tool.

This has to be the biggest disappointment, and I would never recommend this tool, it's extremely pricey, and when we reached out to our Account Manager for help, he kept saying “well, I remind you, you're on a contract”. We don't feel like we're being listened at. We are still waiting for options to fix this issue, or to cancel this tool that has been of zero use to us. Furthermore, we've gotten training where they keep repeating the same and the same, taking little value from it.
Pros
Integration with Hubspot seemed to work fine
Cons
Where do I start? Since the beginning we express our concerns to the AE assigned to us, that ZoomInfo could be “too big for us”, since we target mainly small to medium companies; after we were reassured that the Data was updated and taken from several channels, we decided to go ahead with the solution. Three months in (almost four), and we haven't gotten one single good lead. Some of the issues are, but not limited to 1) a lot of the information for small business was not up-to-date, 2) "Small businesses" that always end up being part of a bigger company, 3) Mixed information from companies from the Intent because the signal and the suggested contacts are pulled from different companies with the same name, 4) it can take up to an hour to clean ONE contact, since the information is mixed, and as stated before, many times the data is not updated, many people who "doesn't work there anymore", 5) When using the Intent feature and calling the lead, they rarely know what we're talking about, or they got a solution “weeks ago”, 6) Intent topics are locked, and you can change them only a few times during the year, so you want to be extra mindful with those, but of course, these topics are NOT open to you. They give you a long excel list with a thousand of topics for you to “select”. This is so complicated and takes so much time, when it would be easier to do it with on a sharing screen meeting, so 7) will be lack of support.

The primary business challenge being solved is around uncovering new business logos to promote our services. The platform has also assisted in cleaning the data we already have in Salesforce.
Pros
The platform has been a major contributor to developing new prospects that fit our ICP guidelines, including revenue, employee count, and technology infrastructure. It has also assisted me in collecting as much information for prospecting new contacts within an organization. Integrating with Salesforce was incredibly straight forward, and I personally like the chrome extension. It allows me to look up a contact in Zoom without having to leave a LinkedIn profile.
Cons
One of the key issues I have noticed is the level of accuracy with the data shared on a particular contact. In many cases, the contact would no longer be with an organization associated with ZoomInfo. There have been instances where the contact may have left the company more than a year ago, and ZoomInfo still doesn't have the updated information. The level of detail in the data is incredible, but it's less accurate than what I remember when I first started using the platform.

When I joined Mygo Consulting last year, there was no easy way to get a large number of qualified leads and their contact information, so getting ZoomInfo solved that very quickly. And Websights solved the issue of identifying visitors to our website.
I have found the accuracy of the contact information to be over 90%, which is much higher than other databases I have used in the past. Overall, I have been very satisfied with their platform.
Pros
There are several features in ZoomInfo that are important to me. The first is the ability to tailor lead lists for email and prospecting campaigns. The next features that I use on a daily basis are Websights and Opportunity Scoops. Websights tells me what companies visited our website, and I recently added Hotjar to show me their activity while they visited. That gives me the ability to reach out with a very targeted message based on where they went. The opportunity scoops gives me leads that our sales team can get in touch with and talk about how we can help with the upcoming projects that are listed.
Cons
Two things that I have discussed in the past that I would like to see improved are the technology stacks that ZoomInfo reports in each company. There has been a higher amount of inaccuracy than I used to see. The other improvement would be for more detailed information in the Websights feature. It is hard to see what pages a visitor went to, which is why we added Hotjar.
