I am using tally since 1998 and still using and will use. Its simple to use easy to install , easy to configure and very lost cost.

Some basic function are like dos based although the cost of the software made me ignore such small issues.

Tally supports export to CSV, GST tax calculation. Readable data available for filling of GST returns. This provide multi-language support. It maintains inventory along with accounts. Automatic interest calculation for various accounts like receivable, payable, capital account. User security controls along with data safety features. It supports Audit features which are very useful. Presentation of data with bar charts. It not only provides profit and loss for the Financial year but it also provides various ratios for analysis of financial data.
This is available for students for learning purpose.

User cannot open multiple instances of ledger account at same time.
User cannot enter cost center wise opening balances which makes it difficult to depict data cost center wise.
GUI graphics color should be customized.

Auto updation of profit loss and balance sheet.
Can switchover from any ledger to anywhere without any difficulty.
Easy to use.
Gst release made gst returns easy.
Inventory management is also nicely incorporated.
Cost management is also possible.
Easy bank reconciliation is possible.
Payment, receipt, contra, j.v all kind of entries and voucher are easy to use.
Stock j.v can be used easily.
All kinds of tax and statutory master can be used as per the requirement of user.

Best accounting software I have ever seen.

It is best for accounting but at the same time person who is not familiar with accounting can not use it easily. Somewhat basic knowledge of accounting is required to use this software.
Sometimes people who are commerce graduate for them also this software become difficult as there are many features so it may seems complicated at initial level.

All the features of tally are good and it have a great security of data also , so you can surely go with it . all the features like invoicing , ledger maintaining etc. . works perfect

The thing I don't like about this software is it's price because it seems expensive , and is a bit complex also for any normal person

It's every features are impactful and helpful. It's one stop business Solution for us we are managing accounting, inventory, and payroll management.

Sometimes it gets closed unexpectedly disturb a lot. Expect it every features are very good and helpful.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS REALLY GOOD , EVEN THOUGH ITS TELEPHONIC , STILL PRETTY GOOD.

ITS NOT VERY USER FRIENDLY. THEY RELEASE EARLY UPDATES WHICH ARE REALLY EXPENSIVE AND NOT VALUE FOR MONEY IN CASE YOU ARE USING THE SOFTWARE ONLY TO MAKE YOUR INVOICES.

I like the most inventory, ledger, billing. this feature are the base but so many function make this easy for managing a company's data like financial reports.

Boring of feeding data one time after that all good. you have the things on one click. I know the import/export of data but sometimes i just have to do with my own.

For small and mid level organisations, tally is the go to software for all their accounting taxation needs.

Even though it is best product, even it has it's limited, It's hard use if company is growing bigger.

This is DOS based, we should have chosen cloud based

Fraud : we were sold trial software and that caused us 2 months of implementation. After the fraud was found out, even with the real software, endless issues continued.

We requested for a paid service to re-configure the form, it was appointed the Monday. Delayed everyday until Friday, the Tally tech came here and said he needed 45 minutes for the job but left after 5 minutes because he wa late for another job.

The level of nonsense from this supplier is simply incomprehensible.

The software requires the user to have some accounting knowledge to effectively work with it. After the installation, the user can hardly grasp the accounting knowledge to facilitate the operations.

Best part for cost center wise accounting, Easy to use very basic accounting software, Good Reporting and bank reconciliation function.

No Payroll function, not good if you are using excel as invoice and then importing it to the accounting software import from excel is not there you have to convert it in to xml and then import little tricky

Tally this software is very user friendly and you can say very intuitive. They have single user & multiple user licesense. On multiuser lisence we can access tally on multiple devices , computers, laptops. Even they have remote facility so you can give remote. Tally support also very nice.we have single user means Silver license. We are happy to using this. Our accountant can easily maintain all purchase, sale, payment , receipt, invoice entries. It is very easy to take data backup also.

Actually software is good but when tally version we need to update they will charge for this. This charges for service support. And we need to update version manually. After all software is very good very light version.

It is easy to comply with the Indian Taxation (GST) with this software. It is very helpful for preparation and uploading of GST Returns directly from the software. It is very easy to learn and it is very quick as there are shortcuts for each function and they are very easy to learn. Contacting their support is quick and they are very helpful. There are several menus to analyze and present data.

UI can be improved. There are charges to change the version and the changes are to be done manually. We need this on cloud storage basis,

TallyPrime is very well known company in this field. Since long they are providing this service in this field. I love there Accounting and billing system most and the user access system. There order management and processing system also very useful. I love there software.

First of all I will say this software are long time in this market. So lots of things they improved already. But some of there feature need to improve for payroll system. They can add payroll and HRM to this system which will be more better. People will be interested to buy this more.

Price and payment gateway cant be integrated also its on prime not cloudbased software.

4) Tally provides mobility. Tally allows its user to access their account remotely through Tally.Net facility which ensures that it can be accessed from anywhere through internet.

6) Reports like Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account are useful for analyzing the financial position of the entity.

It is less suitable for Large organizations but it is a perfect solution for small and medium size organizations. It works as per the requirements.

With respect to all the statutory compliances, Tally incorporates all the features as per the relevant Act. Whether it is GST or TDS, Tally makes it easy to prepare reports and file returns.

It is very difficult to use multi user on wifi. We need LAN connection for multi user. Else it tends to get very slow. In this day and age when wifi has taken over the world by storm. This is one great backlog.

Very fast, adaptive, it has lot of settings which suits our needs, they also give support under warranty period. Overall an accounting software which made for Indian market, we are used to tally, we can not adjust in any other software.

Not collaborative, very difficult to setup on remote desktop. no cloud option

Tally is accounting software whose installation process is simple.It makes the accounting works very easy.It has variety of features to mange the company's accounting.It also provides email facility and supports multiple language.Backup can be taken time to time.

It doesn't allow to work on more then one ledger at a time .We should have basic knowledge of accounting otherwise we may get difficulty to use the software.Customer support and User Interface needs to be improved

No Tally prime is very easy you can download the excel sheet which report you want also you can import bulk information in to tally.

It is very simple to train for the new joiners especially for the freshers.
