Nowsta is a staffing platform that was created especially for the Catering & Event Industry. They did their research on what was needed and that comes full circle as you use it daily. On top of having great Customer Support and response time to questions, issues, concerns or suggestions, Nowsta provides a streamlined staffing software that is easy to use for all. Our response times are cut in half and we have more immediate feedback if a staff member is going to accept the shift or not. The Time & Attendance feature is super simple to approve times and notice and discrepancies. I would highly recommend.

Currently, the only thing I wish I had with this software. I have is having to log into the web application as a Coordinator and not having access through the app for making day of/on-site changes to staff, but this is a rare need for us and easy to use the web version from a phone internet browser.

It is extremely user-friendly and takes very little training.

The Customized csv for import is still not 100% correct and manual changes have to be made before importing.

I don't, the whole point of the company is to track employees and they can't even do that correctly.

Customer service. They refuse to help me when I shared with them that their platform is misreporting all of the calculations from overtime worked, total pay, and total hours worked. Very basic math required to figure this out and they can't even do that correctly

I was particularly impressed by Nowsta's user-friendly interface and the seamless experience it provides for both employees and managers. The scheduling system is intuitive and makes it easy to track shifts, manage availability, and communicate with the team. The integration with payroll systems is a major plus, saving time and reducing errors in payment processing. Additionally, the mobile app is convenient for on-the-go access and helps keep everyone in the loop with real-time notifications.

One area where Nowsta could improve is the customization of notifications. Sometimes the frequency of alerts can be overwhelming, especially during peak scheduling times. Also, while the platform is generally robust, occasional technical glitches can cause delays or confusion. Expanding the customer support hours would be beneficial as well, to ensure assistance is available during late shifts or weekends.

How easy it is to set up and use. And how flexible it is for our workers to use.

Their customer service is always quick and easy if we ever need back-end information. The worker profiles are robust and great for HR tracking.

I would like if feature could be added to hide worker profile notes from certain assigned roles. Sometimes the pages lag/cannot keep up with the speed of changes and edits.

NOWSTA is very easy to use from scheduling to our staff accepting shifts.

I have not come across anything I don’t like about NOWSTA.

I like that it is easy to use and it is easy to inform employees about anything you can think of, special instructions, directions, announcements, etc.

In the admin side the pages don't refresh even going back and forth between pages, I have to manually hit refresh to get things to update.

This is a great product for our catering and events management team. I am able to change schedules easy, and update details in real time.

I wished there was a few less "clicks" to navigate the pages.

It's user friendly - attractive, easy to navigate and make updates. Humorous little phrases pop up while refershing while working. Nowsta makes staffing and events logistics and organization, which can be difficult to organize a breeze!

We love the personalization of Nowsta and being able to make it work for our company needs. It is incredibly useful for our staff to use the mobile app to accept or decline shifts, see event and shift details, uniform information, and location parking information in the palm of their hand. We also love that it integrates with our catering system, Total Party Planner.

We wish there was a mobile app for managers & administrators! We are often working in the field and assisting with events so when changes need to be made to a shift or information needs to be updated real-time, we have to rush to a wifi zone and make changes from a laptop (if we even have it with us!) at an event. Making changes via mobile would be super helpful!

I love all the visual components that help with making sure shifts are staffed. Versatility.

Sometimes the availability feature glitches out, but usually fine.

Actual staffing numbers in real-time. List of current and past staff. We use the notes section a lot to track callouts and raises. It is great to have everything in one place.

Templates do not work correctly, always duplicating or adding some that are not relevant to certain staff

It is extremely user friendly and updates quickly.

In areas of low internet access it is difficult for our staff to clock out.

Nowsta is easy to use. We've integrated it with our sales software and can export shifts, request employees and track their time.

Honestly nothing, sometimes employees can't clock in correctly but that may have to do with phone/internet service.

I really enjoy the ease of use of this program.

I wish there was an app for the phone to make the schedule

Nowsta allows our department to visualize what workers fit best where. As staffers for a catering company, we often have several events each day, and Nowsta makes it easy to move staff to best suit our needs for last-minute callouts.

I wish that Nowsta supplied timestamps for shift removals and declinations. It would be helpful for us in staffing to keep track of employee patterns and administrative duties.

It has made scheduling staff for events VERY easy. The features are user friendly and easy to teach people.

That the updates don't transfer to the staffs google/apple calendar

Nowsta is a powerful app. I like how you can clock in and clock out with it, you can schedule employees and keep track of their hours on a daily basis.

I am not sure. Nowsta does what I need it to do.

Easy to use! Very easy to manage. My employees absolutely love it.

Ease of use and functionality. You can get your workflow up and running in no time and immediately feel it simplifying your scheduling workflows.

There could be small improvements, but for the money this app is phenomenal.

The mobile version of the web version could be easier to use. Also I would love if there was a way to organize the staff in the weekly view by confirmed hours instead of just by name.
