Notepad++ is suitable for all scripting languages and can be used to write and edit all types of code, like scripts and configuration files. It is easy and free to use, which makes it a valuable asset for programmers and IT specialists in general.

Sometimes I miss the terminal feature like in Powershell or Visual Studio, where I could check the code without implementing it in the environment. Such a testing feature is almost a must-have, and because Notepad++ doesn't have it I sometimes chose other scripting solutions.

Mayne a first creation before word.. It can however be used to make a list and shrinked in the corner on the front page of your laptop or computer.

Its nothibg like Word misiinh a lot of action.

extensions manager could be better and easier to use

The "search in files" and "replace in files" feature is very good. File recovery is very good at keeping the file you forgot to save in memory. The "Mark" feature is also very useful. You can easily filter the source code (especially multi-line) by marking certain code snippets or functions.

More integration options can be added. The feature of automatically opening newly created files "in the following encoding" can be added. each time, we need to change the file encoding property to UTF-8 BOM.

Searching algorithm and multiple language support.

Sometimes unsaved data gets cleaned up but this is not the case 90 percent of times.

Lots of language syntax highlighting, great themes, cheap, and little memory consumption during execution.

No theme marketplace and module references across scripts are rare, function type declarations also aren’t visible in the IDE

I love the look and feel of Notepad++ the most. When you switch over from the native Microsoft Notepad it is a world of difference.

It feels like it requests an update pretty frequently but that is a small nitpick.

It's a pretty basic application, but it does the job.

I did not like the recovery/saving function

It can identify lot of different programming languages and add proper indexation

I use notepad ++ every day for my taking notes. UI is pretty and very simple for all user. Useful feature for me is automatic save when we close the software. I can chage the font size, theme colors and import coding. The best thing is that it is free. And then search and replace files make me enjoy. For devloper, it includes many useful features like code import, scripting, HTML,CSS,etc...

There is nothing. I enjoy to use notepad ++. It is very useful function, features than microsoft notepad.

I think the most useful feature in Notepad++ are the custom styles, that you can modify to make it even more useful.

I think some features like dupe comparisons are hidden and should be well exposed, or even inside the normal software without plugins.

I use Notepad++ daily for notes. The most important to me that in one window I can work with multiple files in different tabs. It increases my productivity.

Cons: works only on Windows platform. And also one downside that it doesn't detect mistakes.

I have noticed Notepad++ supports Multi-View and Multi-Tab Interface, allowing me to tackle multiple files at once. it helps me to boost my overall productivity

I have noticed that the options which are customizing the user interface of Notepad++ are somewhat limited compared.

Notepad++ is always evolving, and that is what I like the most. It has a great nostalgic community but also it is not lacking functionalities. Even there are some plugins that are specific for Notepad++ and can not be found for other platforms.

I am a true nostalgic and I love Notepad++, maybe I could complain about the update system, that could be improved.

New users might find the array of features and customization options overwhelming.

I am not a developer, but sometimes have to open files with code. I have often used Notepad++ to edit and merge Markdown files.

It's easy to use and the different colors help visualize what you are working with. There are many features I did not even use, but they never got in the way of the user experience.

Honestly can't think of anything, as the tool is free and delivered on what I needed it for with no tweaking whatsoever. As such, I hope to offer the perspective of a user who is not necessarily a hardcore techie.

What most I like about this product is its extensibility, customization, and multiple document editing. These features of the product give me versatility . The extensibility of the notepad++ boosts the functionality of the text editor by using plugins. I can highlight my codes and auto-completion for code as well.

The most I don't like about Notepad++ is the basic feature. It should offer features for the same level as the IDE integrated development environment offers.

It's filter and search function to replace a string of text or look for hidden codes in normal files
