Goldcast is a core piece of martech stack

Reviewed on 2021/08/02

Pros

We went with Goldcast because of its branding capabilities, reporting, integrations, and friendly UI for both host and attendees. Cherry on top post purchase has been all that plus its phenomenal support team and how quickly new value additive features get released.

Cons

Only Minor improvements really, such as I wish no show status / demo requests pushed back into Marketo post event, and the styling of transactional emails were easier to customize within Goldcast. But these are nice to haves for us, not critical to our event execution.

I love the experience and flexibility that it provides our business. We can host one-off events or full-fledged virtual conferences all within one environement. Our partners, sponsors, and attendees are all able to have an incredible experience and we're always excited to spin up new virtual events.

Pros

With its suite of capabilities and ease-of-use added to its unbelievable attention to detail and customer service, there's literally no reason to say "no" to this platform.

Cons

There are some small bugs with the interface, but honestly its a new product with normal growing pains - to that end, "mature" products still have small things that bug people sooooo it's really not a problem ;)

Great for hybrid conferences

Reviewed on 2022/11/03

Pros

We use Goldcast to host the virtual component of our hybrid conferences. I love how you can add polls, upload slides, and people can ask questions virtually to panelists.

Cons

I don't like how much bandwidth the software take up on the computer. Even when you enable the light version of Goldcast the bandwidth is enough to crash your computer. Please be aware, my computer is not that expensive and does not have alot of storage space.

We love hosting our community events on Goldcast. The attendees absolutely love the experience and the engagement is super high. It has become the go-to platform for all our external community events

Pros

The platform is extremely easy to use for doing events regularly. We were having low participation through zoom and decided to switch to Goldcast. As soon as we switched, attendee rates improved and they stayed longer than we expected. Our post event feedback survey results from attendee showed a huge thumbs up for Goldcast. The registration page that is integrated to look as though it is a part of our website is a huge plus. The automatic invitations are also a huge help when inviting a bigger group of people.

Cons

The networking rooms have a max capacity of 15. If that could be increased to 20, it would be a great use for our internal office hours

Reasons for Switching to Goldcast

Two biggest reasons were the engagement opportunities for attendees and post event data dashboards that we can use to analyze our event performance. The customization and branding options are amazing

Excellent! [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] are amazing!

Pros

Had all the strengths of other platforms combined into one. Very customizable and feels like an in-person conference experience.

Cons

Attendee registration and navigation was a bit clunky for some users. I think they some needed more step by step guidance.

At this point our team has hosted a live webinar and a hybrid (live/pre-recorded) event and both were great. We did our post-event recap and internally agreed that selecting Goldcast was absolutely the RIGHT move for our team.

Pros

Experiencing Goldcast as an attending first was super helpful in understanding what the experience was like from the registrants side. Each meeting with Goldcast was better and more insightful. The team brought in other members of their team to not only show support (to us) but answer questions from a different angle in the company. I was sold when they brought in their events manager and she explained how easy it was to use.

The tool itself is complex in its own way but from an admin and host point of view the tool is very simple. If you aren't able to figure it out the team CS team is fast to respond with support and answers.

Cons

Goldcast is growing quickly but they are still growing. With that there are still some features that they can improve upon. (Some I know they are already working on!) The post-event analytics are ok as a starting point, but could be better. Having the ability to send the speaker link to the participant from Goldcast would be great - this would help eliminate room for error as well. Having the ability to edit/create custom CSS in certain spaces would also be a nice to have. The registration tool has some room for improvement: changing the names of fields, ordering the fields for a better flow, immediate sync and data transfer to marcom tools, ability to have unique tickets for attendance, and ability to collect payment for registration. They are integrated with Eventbrite so we plan on using that for now.

We have been using the platform for almost a year now and are happy with the platform and support team.

Pros

It has it all but the best part about the software would be “ease to create an event” and “ease to navigate”.Virtual Platforms are usually overwhelming with features, multiple channels and so much more. But Goldcast makes even the most complicated thing look so simple. We have been using it for almost a year now and are happy with the platform and it’s service.

Cons

I think the feature to blur the background should come in handy. Also would like an option to customise the main screen branding.

We work extremely closely with the Goldcast team. Their support is responsive, fast moving, and easy to work with. Overall we have a great experience working with Goldcast!

Pros

Goldcast makes our events experience feel safer, more legitimate, and more user friendly than previously using Zoom to host all of our events. From intimate roundtables to webinars to week long virtual events, Goldcast is easy to customize for the event we're putting on and creates a delightful attendee experience.

Cons

Because the product is so new, there are features in development or that are a little clunky. Audience management for breakout rooms, built-in reporting, and during-event administration is still in development. That being said, nothing is every impossible with Goldcast, they're an incredibly flexible and agile team that's constantly upleveling their product.

I love it. We use it on a regular basis across all different event types and have yet to have a problem that was big. If we have a small one, the team fixed it incredibly fast and they provide you with VIP level customer service.

Pros

I love how simple it is to use, but then you have actionable insights that come from it. That's huge for a marketer where you need to show ROI from events.

Cons

Nothing really. Goldcast is a smaller company so at first was a bit nervous jumping in.

Gold for Goldcast

Pros

Goldcast is incredibly user friendly - it has made me life running virtual events so much less stessful. Their customer success team is stellar and we always receive great feedback from attendees on their experience. Plus, the fact that we can live stream and pre-record content for the same event is a big perk.

Cons

Not applicable. Not any cons I can think of.

Goldcast's customer service is great! They were always right there to answer a question and help troubleshoot.

Pros

Goldcast's virtual event platform is the closest I've seen to recreate an in-person event. Attendees have the ability to choose what parts of the event they want to participant in and how. At the same time, they are automatically brought to the next agenda item to keep people on track.

Cons

As a startup, Goldcast is constantly improving. Some of the features I wish they had when I started using the platform, have already been implemented! While the ability to automatically move attendees to the next agenda item is great, it becomes difficult when a speaking portion is running overtime and the admin has to continuously adjust the rest of the day's event timing to make up for it. (It is great at keeping people on time though!)
