Overall, my experience with the AWS Management Console has been great. I love its powerful and centralized interface, which makes it easy to manage multiple services like EC2 and S3 in one place. The built-in monitoring tools and resource organization features are particularly useful, and switching between regions is seamless. It’s a robust platform that simplifies cloud resource management effectively.

Pros

The User Interface: The dashboard is allows me to navigate through services quickly.

Cons

It can be challenging to locate specific features or services without prior experience, especially with the frequent updates.

Alternatives Considered

Google Cloud

Reasons for Switching to AWS Management Console

I didn't choose AWS Management Console over other products as I am not a decision maker then, but I'd use it because of its comprehensive features, scalability, and seamless integration with AWS services. It offers a centralized platform to manage cloud resources effectively, which is why it's widely adopted over alternatives.

AWS is one of the best, if Not the best Cloud Option in the Market Today

Overall, I love AWS and cloud as a whole. I no longer need to carry around a powerful laptop as I can run a powerful instance on AWS and when needed. This has revolutionized the way I work. I can easily test out things on AWS environment before deploying them in a real environment.

Pros

The graphical user interface of AWS management console is quite user friendly and easy to get started with for all type of users. Through the console, you get access to all AWS services including EC2 instances, storage services, public IPs etc. You can easily add and remove resources using the console in a matter of a few clicks. The search engine functionality of the console is quite good. I mostly find myself finding things(e.g. billing management) by searching them rather than navigating.
I like that you can easily add resources to existing EC2 instances through the console. For example, the other day I needed to add ram to my EC2 instance, and I easily did that through the console.

AWS have added two factor authentication when logging on to the console to increase the security of your account. This way, your account cannot be easily hacked.

Through the console, you can create resources in different regions which costs differently enabling you to access the cheapest deals possible.

Cons

If you are dealing with bulk activities, these are better handled with automation scripts or the AWS Command Line Interface as using the management console can prove more time consuming and less efficient.

There is a some sort of learning curve involved in being able to efficiently navigate all the features of the management console. Hiring help with that can be expensive since the cost of solutions architects can be expensive

The cost of AWS can be expensive for small businesses with smaller revenue and therefore not sustainable.

The AWS Management Console provides a user-friendly graphical interface to interact with AWS services, catering to users with varying technical expertise. While it offers a simple and accessible way to manage AWS resources,

Pros

It is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection and a supported browser.

Cons

I started using AWS Console for a small project and I felt a not-so-smooth learning curve ahead of me. Eventually, I managed to use it for the services I needed, but it is not the easiest one, also because of the huge complexity and scale of AWS products.

Pros

It is a feature-rich interface, generally appreciated by the experienced developer working with AWS for several years

Cons

As said in the pros, it is really dense of information. This means that it is, on the other hand, overwhelming for the new learner, requiring a stronger guidance than competitor's managment consoles, in my opinion

It's a robust and great tool for managing the cloud intrastate and offers flexible control over all AWS services. While it has depth of integration and is more impressive. It's ideal for technical and enterprise users but less intuitive for normal and non-technical users.

Pros

AWS Management Console excels in its user-friendly interface and comprehensive functionalities to manage the cloud software. The real-time monitor and customised options of the dashboard a brilliant options. I think I love its integration with other AWS tools to ensure seamless workflow for beginner and advanced-level users.

Cons

Because it's a powerful tool and it feels overwhelming for newcomers due to its complexity and vast area of the services. Navigating between the different regions is not seamless. Slow load times, especially when trying to manage large resources and limited search functionality are painful most of the time.

Highly satisfied with the usage of this cloud service. With a clear understanding of one's requirements and the right selection of AWS services, its full potential can be effectively harnessed

Pros

All services can be utilized in various combinations within a defined framework, seamlessly integrating to meet specific demands. Cost optimization is a key feature, allowing for fine-tuning of resource usage and tracking of underutilized resources. Also on-demand functionalities and pre-defined scaling of compute and storage resources further enhance cost efficiency.

Cons

The cost forecast is somewhat inaccurate, it gives a tentative estimate. Deleting instances can be challenging, even with super admin roles. While cost management is possible, the pricing feels a bit steep.

Overall, my experience has been positive, but as mentioned the cluttered user interface can be problematic when I need to find a specific service. Also the billing page is lost in the clutter and makes it difficult for bill management and payment even after having a great cost estimation tool for the services that I have used on AWS

Pros

I appreciate the amount of tools and services that are available in the console. It sums up all of the services in a well defined interface with the most important parts right in front of the user

Cons

The amount of services that AWS provides in general is a lot, and in order for them to fit on a single platform, the management console might look too daunting and cluttered to new users. The UI could use a rework and allow ease of access to people who are new to the platform

AWS Management Console I think is by far the best when it comes to determining customer needs. We are a new into this field this application came to our rescue with it's amazing and versatile set of features during peak times. It saved our website from crashing down.

Pros

The GDPR ensures secure transactions and so far it has helped us overcome major obstacles that were rather hard to fix. The back-up is easy to implement and protects the data. It's integration has helped us go online on Shopify. The Support is very helpful in that respect. Our team was quick to pick up the pace after frequent use of their flexible tools.

Cons

The application is cost effective thus, so far we haven't encountered any cons.

It works as advertised and it keeps getting better. It's the foundation for our AWS environment and it's something that gets used everyday.

Pros

The AWS management console has evolved significantly over the years. There's a plethora of features that lets us configure our AWS environment in a very granular manner. It has a large selection of security features that allow us to protect our AWS environment in a deep way. The console is easy to use, navigate and get acquainted with. The looks and feel have also improved recently.

Cons

There was a learning curve in the previous iteration that made the console difficult to navigate. Some features were not easily found.

I've been using AWS Management Console for a few months and it's been really useful, the permissions/roles system is exactly what I needed. I barely experienced bad optimization on the dashboard, even when using the filter/search feature, I got the results pretty fast.

Pros

AWS Management Console has all necessary features to manage your projects, it has a fast, optimized and userfriendly dashboard. Integrating it with other AWS was easy, with no issues.

Cons

Its pricing could be considered a little expensive, specially when you need to use high resources. And some features are somewhat confusing.
