Using it for design and implementation of Enterprise Directory Services
Reviewed on 2017/11/09
Pros
Expecially know about Oracle Unified Directory, that is part of Oracle Identity Management. Really complete and reliable solution, best for features and easy management (for designer, administrators and operations), by CLI and by a good console, named ODSM, as well. You can manage Pass Through Authentication and think about a smart deploy for disaster prevention and recovery, replication and load balancing works fine. We designed a solution for authentication and authorization in a big enterprise environment for Operating System, Application and Database (using Enterprise User Security method) using the same LDAP Directory, that is very valuable for our customers.
Cons
Flexibility is not strong point, integration with other solution is not so easy. Certificate management for SSL/TLS configuration could improve, not so easy. Community not so dynamic.

Overall experience is good. If we weight pros and cons of the system, positive points are way more than negative ones.
Pros
We have successfully integration IDM with three of our applications including T24, TCIBMB and Oracle EBS systems. We are using single sign on for above three applications. Password policy setup is very convenient and we have complied with the guidelines provided by regulatory authority.
Cons
The process flow of integration different modules of IDM is very complicated. Therefore, we get issues sometime and the setup is not that stable as we want it to be. However, Oracle support is best in the market and we get issues fixed in no time.

Protection of application resources with secure configuration. And provided Single Sing On feature along with federation feature to authenticate cloud enabled applications like Salesforce etc,.
Pros
It covers best bread features in the market, however it's complex to implement / configure the product. And support is not at all good, it's very difficult to get solution from Oracle. And need to be very careful while applying patches
Cons
Customization is difficult and straight forward to implement new enhancements. Understanding the event flow difficult.

My experience is very good since the product I used when it has already been implemented. I also note that it helps a lot to speed up the authorization of new identities and also the authorization of new accesses to the applications associated with the solution.
Pros
What I like about the Software is that it meets most of the criteria and policies of large companies that have very complex ecosystems of identities. Also in addition to managing the identities, Single Sing-On feature which helps when authorizing and authenticating users in the applications.
Cons
What I do not like is the price of the solution that is quite high, I also did not like that the whole issue of Government of Identities is handled in a separate Suite and also the implementation of the product which can be somewhat extensive depending on the identities and repositories that will be integrated.

Authentication, authorization, access control, computer security, permissions, identity management systems.
Pros
the assignment of roles and permissions in the loading of employees, activation and deactivation of user accounts within the organization based on payroll news
Cons
the users only manage a password to access the different integrated applications. This feature increases the risk that if a robust authentication scheme is not used as a coordinate card, these keys can easily be compromised.

Good software to manage identities in organizations
Reviewed on 2018/03/31
Pros
The ability to automate the access management, it is a very complete solution, and it's easy to use.
Cons
It's quite expensive to buy the license for small businesses, so I would say it's highly oriented to larger companies
