I use UniTel Voice for my business toll free number. I have had a great experience with their friendly customer service an technical support staff. Their voice talent set up my IVR and sounded great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Pros

I really liked that you can get your IVR set up with a voice talent for free at sign up. You also can get your settings setup for you or a walkthrough in setting them up by support. I love the ability to receive faxes through your toll free number and send them from the interface. You can also set business hours for your toll free number. You can make or receive calls through the app or have them forwarded to a phone number. The app has distinct ringtones so you always know that your business line is ringing and what option the customer chose in the IVR. This is particularly good for businesses with employees who handle different departments.

Cons

I haven’t had any issues with UniTel Voice. I think it’s a great service, application, and interface.

I couldn’t believe they were available and solved the problem. I even received a follow up call a few hours later to make sure problem was resolved! Amazing!!! Overall my experience has been great. Whenever I have an issue they are quick to resolve it and also offer suggestions that I have found to be quite helpful.

Pros

I love the convenience of the app and that I can separate personal and business calls as well as have a separate ring tone for business calls.

Cons

I think the inbox page can be streamlined a bit. The filter section above the actual voicemail section is cumbersome. I would prefer to see my actual voicemail messages first and then filter.

The customer service has been exceptional! The staff took time to listen to my needs and found the right solutions. I received ongoing communication while my 800 number was being transferred from the old company to UniTel. I also liked the follow-up call and the "tutorial" to make certain everything was set up correctly. I appreciated the great personal service!

Pros

Having my company's 800 number on my cell phone is a winner. Since I downsized my company in 2015 I am running my company without employees. Previously the 800 number was on my home's landline. I knew there had to be a solution to having it switched to a mobile phone. I did my homework and found UniTel! In fact a few weeks ago I was in NYC for a short vacation, and worked out an issue for a customer on a ferry in the East River. UniTel has given me the freedom to be anywhere.

Cons

Actually, nothing so far. All of my needs have been met.

Very happy so far. Have recommended to others. Really like that if I need help I can reach a live person right away and have a conversation that I can understand. They are both technical but can communicate in a way that a non-tech person like me can understand. Glad customer service not outsourced.

Pros

The fact that we can have multiple mailboxes and voice messages is a huge plus and that calls and messages can be checked anywhere and seen on all extensions is a bonus.

Cons

The pause is too long after the voicemail box prompts are pressed, about 4 seconds which sounds like the call may have been dropped. I appreciate that [sensitive content hidden]
were industrious and worked to find a way to get it down to 3-4 seconds from the original 6 second pause. I have requested that they suggest to the owners/developers or powers that be that there has to be a way to remedy this as most hard wired company voicemails go directly to the message once the prompt is pressed. There has to be a way and I'm sure they will figure it out - virtually as they have been very responsive in each instance to take action.

The pricing structure has remained consistent with the product and customer service is easily the best I've encountered as a professional and an entrepreneur. Pros

Unitel's customer service is incredible! I worked with [sensitive content hidden] and she was amazing and made the process so much easier and less stressful.

Cons

Trying to set everything up myself was proving really difficult and confusing, but one call to T [sensitive content hidden] and she was able to do in 20 minutes what I was trying to do myself for a couple of hours.

So far I'm pleased with the customer service and the online Dashboard. My only issue is with texting. This might be a make or break issue in the near future because most of my clients would rather text before calling.

Pros

I love that UniTel has an intuitive Online Dashboard and App!

Cons

What I feel is a huge con is the fact that you can't text anyone directly via the app. This is an issue because a huge percentile of people use text before they decide to make a call.

They also manually charged my credit card without my authorization. I'm in the middle of reporting this and uploading supporting docs to relevant authorities. They refused to refund the transaction and first discuss the amount due, since I had already paid $16.15 the day before. As such, I requested that they close and cancel my account, to which they said they have to send me a confirmation email me first. This was fine, but to manually run my credit card for an amount the left acredit on my account, they did not email me first to authorize! Unacceptable.

None if they card your CC without authorization.

Cons

Terrible customer service and business practices. As well as improper use of customer payment information.

This custom was completely refunded. There was confusion because he had two accounts with us, and one was overdue. Wrong or right, we should have never pissed this customer off. That's the opposite of what we are trying to do. In the future, we'll try to do better.

Cons

The slow Interface. they need to spend money on their side to make their own system faster. Or, at least make the missed calls page the home page. Because, isn't that what we're doing, taking calls?

Your customer service is pathetic and they are even not educated to treat the customers without any information or anything they suspended my account and while asking they don't have any answer and they hung up on me this is not a service which you guys are providing to the customers I must say I am going to file a chargeback straight away and I will not recommend unitel voice to anyone

I loved how easy it was to connect with UniTel from start to finish, PLUS the variety of features they offer were perfect for me. Price was also a winning factor, not to mention the helpful & professional communication from their Customer Service Dept. All around great company!
