- Simple straight forward video editing software. Though, they have done improvements on this since I have used this software way back 2009. - Templates are readily available.- Text animations, video transitions, color grading in couple of clicks.- Easy to learn. You don't have to sweat it out. So, this is not for pro editors. This is best for Vloggers with linear contents.- Libraries to help you out is available.- Free version is also available to try out.- Fast and quick render.

- Rendering and preview engine is not that good. Sometimes the project freezes and lags. They need to improve on this one.- Watermarks on free version. Which you need to understand as free user. - I just guess that the software is not maximizing the thread of your computer. It sometimes cause slowdowns.- Not for pro users.

The program worked well when new - but soon they offered a new one to purchase, and the older program quit working so well. It got worse over time, and the only solution from Cyberlink was to purchase the new program. It6's virtually a bait and switch scam.

The program begins to fail when they offer a new version that they want you to buy. It gets worse with time. I used Power Director successfully for a while, but as new versions came our, it didn't work so well. Now it has become impossible to do some of the most basic (and needed) functions. The only suggestion from Cyberlink is to purchase the new version. I don't have the kind of money it would take to keep up with them.

Powerdirector is light-weight when comparing to the more robust video editing software out there, so it can be used with a slightly less powerful computer. It also has much less functionalities and confusing buttons, so it is a good starting point for someone wanting to learn video editing.

There are some limitations that I have encountered - however, those missing functionalities might be added in the most recent version. A basic user is most likely not going to miss anything. Another thing I don't like is their move to the software as a service pricing model. This is why I stopped buying their products.

PowerDirector is very straightforward. Everything you need and want is at your fingertips and doesn't require much knowledge to use effectively. It also has a lot of useful tools, such as chroma key or animated transitions that can be tuned and keyframed to your desire. It also has audio and photo editing features built in if I recall.

In some ways PowerDirector lacks compared to other software. For example, I don't remember there being any motion graphics other than animating the position, rotation and scale of images and videos. Also for people who use the free version like me a lot is cut that's in the main version, but that's to be expected. Also on older versions when editing large videos the application would just crash over and over and ultimately because of that (and the watermark) I had to switch to another video editor.

Power Director software is quite easy to a new learner who is trying to learn video editing professionally. According to the requirement of a new video editor and a new youtuber, all the traits like green screen effect, blending mode and stock copyright free images, videos, transitions, graphics are available in this software. Video quality is also very high after exporting the project in this software. All the amazing tools, present here, are, in plenty, to add subtitles in this software. It is, also, in a word, user-friendly in an Android device.

I think both the fast and the slow motion need to be developed in this software. With the help of this software, audio-editing and color-grading do not seem to me to be highly esteemed in comparison to the other ones. The accuracy of the chromakey feature seems to me to be doubtful to a bit extent. The Android version of this software takes longer time to export the project. The notification for using a pro-version, on behalf of the authorities, is also a matter of annoyance to me during my initially opening this software.

It is a software I suggest to an amateur user, not to a professional user. It offers a nice and intuitive interface and probably it's the best chiose to have nice options, filters, effects and the feeling to be able to produce a great video from private footage and for family memories

It would like to be for professional use but there is nothing that makes you thing the software has opportunities to be like that!

Cyberlink Power Director is a very flexible and robust video creator. Beginners can start the creation of videos and creation of slideshows.The structure of the software is very easy to use and it gives more output formats to the users.The software is cheap and it is a very creative software.

The overall software experience is good.But the input format of .TS is not supported to the software.The team should implement a proper solution or an update for this issue.If the software supports multiple output formats, it is very useful and important to the users

An abundance of bells and whisles for just about anything.

The workflow is rather complicated. Cyberlink places different parts of their software and plug-in all over the PC! The quality is old-school. There is more hype rather than a smooth and uncluttered performance.

I love using PowerDirector since I can really let my creativity shine. The color matching stands out since I've never been impressed with it in others. PowerDirector also has 3D editing and access to stock photography. I love the transitions and effects.

I want the monthly subscription cost to be lowered.I also want it to be more user friendly.
