Inexpensive option but meant for smaller organizations

Pros

Easy to integrate with biometric timeclocks. Employee self-service portal was highly functional and accessible from any mobile device. Able to create different locations, departments, and titles for reporting purposes. Able to set up multiple pay rates for employees (ex. shift differentials).

Cons

Meant for a smaller organization, so it did not really scale well as our organization grew. Did not have any other HRIS features (such as applicant tracking or onboarding), so we ended up with many disparate systems that resulted in entering each employee into several different systems.

My experience with Asure has been all around positive. They are timely, knowledgeable, reliable, affordable for our small business, accurate, and friendly.

Pros

I was with a company that was purchased by Asure. The transition was seamless, my services have improved, my payroll specialist is amazing, knowledgeable and always available. She and her team make my work life so much easier and they are within my budget. I also love that I get an email response right away letting me know that they have received my message and are working on my account!

Cons

I didn’t love the high turn-over rate of employees at first when they first acquired the company I was with, but now I’ve had the same specialist for a while and I am very happy with her has her team.

No good. I've worked with other payroll software programs that are much easier to navigate and do not have as many steps to preparing an accurate payroll. I would like to be able to view the entire pay check on one screen with earning and taxes, be able to make changes or adjustments on one screen with instant results, rather than having to navigate to different screens, reports, etc. This software is so outdated!

Pros

There are very little Pros in my opinion to using this software compared to ACS Payroll, which I've used in the past.

Cons

The software functionality is very outdated. It reminds me of software I used in the mid 90's. The software is also unpredictable and not very user friendly. The software developers need to revamp the entire platform to compete with other payroll software that is out on the market.

We only use the for our HSA account. Can't say anything about the payroll and tax management department. They respond quickly to any questions or issues we do have.

Initially, our experience was not a good one. The transition from People Strategies to Asure did not go as smooth as it should have. But with that said, we now have a feed going from our benefits, retirement plan and onboarding which we did not have before.

Pros

Asure has so much to offer to it's clients. The feeds between vendors and Asure eliminates manual processes which eliminates errors. In addition, we just started using the onboarding. This again eliminates manual processes. Asure has a lot to offer which I am looking forward to exploring.

Cons

The integration process leaves a lot to be desired. But with that said. We now have a few contacts that shows that they value us as a client and what us to have a smooth transition and that there is integrity within the system.

Payroll software works well. Corporate structure pushes sales first and customer support is an afterthought. New services roll out riddled with errors and dysfunction. Clearly there wasn't testing done prior to launch. Seems like a mentality of, roll it out and sell it. We'll worry about if it works later.

Payroll software is reliable and works well. Tax payments are made correctly most of the time.

Cons

Asure website is only full of what they can sell and nothing to help an existing customer use what they purchased. It seems clear that various departments within Asure don't work well together at all. Big delays and lack of information for anything the customer service rep needs internal support for.

It has not been a good experience. It took so long to fix. Also, every time our specialist is on vacation there is always a problem with our paychecks by the fill in person.

This is hard to answer. I can’t be honest what I like. I have been asked by other business owners who o use and I never refer them to assure. I stay honestly because it will be too hard to switch.

Cons

They could not handle me having to pay taxes in two states and took over a year to work out all the unpaid tax notices I received.

I don't care for the emailing back and forth to take care of concerns or questions. I find it very confusing at times. I also don't care for the email sent to verify the sign in and I've asked to have it changed but have been unsuccessful at doing so.

When I do get a response from my account representative or customer service rep they are very thorough on explaining what needs to be done to fix any issues I may be having. However, the response time is often far too slow especially when I am looking for an answer within the day and I have to wait 2-4 days for a response. That gets very frustrating!

Pros

The organization of everything and that it has the ability to hold all the important details for each employee in one program vs. having to use multiple programs for a wide range of information.

Cons

The response time from customer service. Especially when I first started my new role in HR I needed quite a bit of attention to set me up properly in the system and familiarize myself before the current HR person was about to leave. It seemed that I was more of a burden for my account rep.

Pros

Honestly, the main reason we're working with Asure Payroll & Tax Management is for its customizability and flexibility in relation to us running subcontractor payments through our payroll service. We vetted a dozen or more other options/apps/services/companies and Asure is literally the only one that works for our complicated payroll.

Cons

Some functionality is missing that other apps afford, but they're not dealbreakers. I think it's simply an older system, which makes it less restrictive and honed-in. The QBO integration is also nowhere near as customizable as we'd like. They also don't offer a PMP, which would've been nice.

Since the new payroll person has taken over after [sensitive content hidden] retired I am not pleased, we have been called once in the allotted time we were given otherwise we have had to call our payroll in. We write our own checks & pay our own taxes.

I've never had any issues with Asure. Submitting payroll is a breeze and communication about workshops/webinars have been helpful.

I appreciate the fact that submitting payroll is very easy. I'm also happy that setting up new employees is all online.

Cons

I do feel that when I am looking for something that was sent to me - reports, etc. - I'm not provided that much help and instead immediately am told that it will be an extra charge for duplicate reports to be sent to you. That is one way that I feel like I am a number and not a client that Asure wants to help.
