It does the thing I want it to do -- It scrapes web pages.

I don't think it can scrape PDFs which I encounter quite a bit with my scraping.

ScrapingBee takes the challenge out of data extraction. Allowing users to get their data effortlessly.

Nothing comes to mind. It's a simple service.

ScrapingBee is really easy to setup and to start with. They have good documentation available. We are using the product already for years, and there has been almost no down-time in those years. Also there request builders are really easy to use, and you can each language you prefer. In general they have a lot of options, to build the perfect request you need to get the data from any service you want, without getting blocked. Overall I would say the best and most easy scraping service you will find.

The request costs of some endpoint with specific parameters are pretty high, which makes that you need a bigger plan earlier. Pricing plans is also high for us, but not compared to other services who are offering the same.

Ease of use, documentation, clear pricing, works out of the box and solves my problem.
The request builder is very useful, free credits to start and test are really appreciated.

I do not see anything wrong at the moment.

It was very simple to understand the documentation, the API and therefore to implement ScrapingBee in our services. The service works very realible and the dashboard gives us clear information about potential sources for error and any problems that may occur.

The pricing structure could be a bit more granular in my opinion. There are huge price gaps within the different packages.

I no longer have to worry about having to figure out how to work around anti-bot measures so that I can focus on building my product.

Startup plan should have more credits. Not sure about the exact credit usage.

Simplicity of using the API and extremely clear docs.

I think the UI could be more serious. My first impression not very professional. I don't know, probably it's just my opinion.

The web interface is great you can try out various queries right in the browser and get full cost control.

Also sending XHR requests and basically a complete browser dump in the scraping response is unmatched in the industry

The pricing is a bit too high. I understand that it is expensive to run such a large network, but geo location + javascript makes a request 5 times more expensive which can get really price fast.

Also I find it misleading that the prices are listed without VAT, it wasn't obvious to me.

Support is amazing so far. 24 hour response times. The API has also been quote reliable.

Pricing is definitely on the high side, with a $50/mo minimum. There's not much room to scale workflows slowly between the limited free trial and the first pricing tier. I would have liked a lower tier with fewer calls to be able to scale with for the first couple months...

you can use one provider for every request and they take care of which proxies to use

providing a larger free plan would be a plus

The customer support is unparalleled. Also stupid simple API docs: an idiot like me was up and running in minutes.

The docs aren't as comprehensive as I'd like, but overall not much to complain about. Every time I think I have an issue, it turns out to be my own human error.

Before deciding upon ScrapingBee I tried out 10+ other companies before eventually deciding (correctly!) to go with ScrapingBee.

ScrapingBee is by far the best documented, easiest to use, and cheapest scraping api out there.

Occasionally I get blocked on queries(<2% of the time).

I just automatically try again when this happens, but this rate could always be lower.

The customer service is great! [sensitive content hidden] helped me integrate ScrapingBee into our workflow. He helped me debug my code and was very knowledgable.

I'm also very glad for ScrapingBee's Proxy Mode. The automated rotating proxies is exactly what I needed for my use case.

Since what I want is mostly concurrency (not a huge request volume) the plans don't necessarily match my needs exactly.

Super easy api. Great for creating your own scraping library

Maybe storage, maybe it could save money. Easy to use storing pages in the cloud and you only need to scrape it once

Some errors like 500 are obscure and need to be more descriptive.

I'm not even using the full features of ScrapingBee, but with their API Builder, Code Exporter, and Dashboarding, it was easy to get started.I see the features of ScrapingBee being huge for me in the near future, but I know that as I scale, they're pricing is competitive and their service is reliable. I haven't had this success rate, and this isn't my first webscraping vendor. I'm never going anywhere else.

I would love a bit more documentation in the errors. I know that with scraping, it can be obscure, but I lost a bit of time on fine tuning the parameters of my request before it worked, but that it panned out faster than any other service I've worked with because of their built in Request Builder

The product just works, and is easy to set up. One of their most apparent pro's is their customer support. Not only are they very responsive; they'll go out of their way to develop features for you if anything does not work as expected.

Nothing to complain. Just great software.
