Dreamhost VPS, a cheap VPS web-hosting that does the job.

Dreamhost as software has been around since its creation in Los Angeles in 1996. It inspires confidence because it has undisputable experience after decades in the website hosting industry. Maybe this is the reason why It is recommended by WordPress itself. If you’re looking for a secure, cheap, and performant Web-hosting tool, then this product is for you. Let’s just wish that it will expand to windows for the majority who only use Windows.
Pros
To begin with, what is Dreamhost VPS? The Dreamhost VPS (Virtual Private Server) is an advanced hosting tool built around SSDs (Solid State Drives) that creates a kind of digital machine to isolate our RAM and CPU resources from third-users on the same hardware, for stability and performance optimization. Do not see this VPS separated from Dreamhost. It is a product of Dreamhost. This is important to know. The things that I particularly like about this software:
- The software offers an intuitive and navigation-friendly interface. We have actually the VPS tab apart on the left-side panel menu.
- A high-level of security offering a Multifactor Authentication, a Secure FTP (Files Transfer Protocol), and a free TLS (Transport Layer Security) certification with Let’s encrypt which is a legit cybernetic security certification authority.
- A good price compared to the other hosting softwares. Dreamhost VPS is considered as one of the cheapest solutions in the market. The entry plan costs USD15/month, and if we choose a 3-year plan it comes down to USD10/month. With such a plan we get 1GB of RAM, 30GB of SSD storage, and Unlimited traffic. The unlimited traffic is what makes the price worth it with this software. Many of the opponents give more RAM and SSD storage capacities, but still, put a limit on the bandwidth: A2 hosting, or Kamatera (to just name those).
Cons
Two things that could be improved improve:
- Regarding the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) concern, GTmetrix which is a recognized web-testing platform shows that A2 hosting has a speed of 1.2 seconds, while Dreamhost loads at 1.4 seconds. The Google standard is 2.5 seconds. This is not a huge gap, but the software needs to improve its speed performance for better competition in the SEO field.
- Dreamhost VPS needs to extend its service to Windows. Being only available for Linux/OS users is a misfortune for the majority of people who only can afford Windows. Hence, the inclusion of other operating systems is needed.

Not a good fit for VPS hosting as it claims to be. Don't waste your time.

Pros
There is nothing that actually excites me about this company, I had a poor experience.
Cons
Dreamhost is not the right when it comes to providing a fast & reliable hosting experience-No adequate customer support-User Interface is poorly designed-Nvms are not good enough to power up large websites- No adequate support guides for cloud computing newbies-exorbitant subscription fees

Affordable web-hosting with excellent features
Reviewed on 2024/02/27
Pros
Firstly the price of overall service is cheaper compare to other alternatives. Dedicated to ensuring top-notch security and optimized performance, with an abundance of valuable features, including comprehensive domain management capabilities.
Cons
I fell little slower also customer support is not good. The software's exclusive compatibility with Linux/OS disadvantages the majority relying on Windows due to financial constraints, underscoring the essential need for broader operating system inclusivity.

Affordable webhosting with excellent security and tons of features
Reviewed on 2024/01/11
Pros
What's not to like? Great price, security and performance focused, and tons of useful features such as domain management, staging environment for WordPress, unlimited traffic, and unlimited email. They also have an extensive knowledge base and great blog.
Cons
They don't have phone support, so you better get used to live chat. Also, this is not a knock on Dreamhost, but it's not easy to setup if you haven't worked in IT or development.
I also wished they developed help videos to go along with their help articles. And it would be nice if some of the help articles were updated more often.

We run all of our Agency's clients with 1 o 2 of this VPS, so it's great.
Later, when we grow our client base to more than 40 clients, we move to more complex solutions.
Pros
It was easy to setup and cost effective, with a lot of functionalities bundle on it
Cons
its a generic VPS so it's not optimised for one specific software. Optimisation an customisation could be tricky.
