well my overall experience with the app is quite simple, i have really gone in-depth with it so i cant say much but so far.. its very easy to navigate through, especially the drag and drop options, import and export features. i clone is actually quite amazing.

Pros

honestly, i loveee the lens flares, i could play around with them all day, i love the feel it gives to my work, and i am a 3d beginner artist so yh, i love it.

Cons

honestly, i haven't gone in-depth with the app so i cannot say anything for now but with the little experience i think they should include ability to control and make facial expression like in Maya, cause i have compared both apps in that aspect and i would Maya it very good with that feature.

Integrating between disparate formats and software is always a fight, but overall iClone handles most things very well once you establish a workflow.

Pros

I migrated from a now defunct competitor and found iClone far, far more flexible. Used in conjunction with their Character Creator and 3DXchange it gives superb control over character animation and look, unsurpassed in any other software I could find.

Cons

Unreal Live Link (which is free) showed so much promise but delivered very little. Simply exporting and importing is far more stable and configurable. This element needs redesigning from scratch.

Alternatives Considered

Unreal Engine

Reasons for Choosing iClone

As Muvizu is no longer in development and also suffers from some extreme limitations it was time to look elsewhere.

Reasons for Switching to iClone

I looked hard at missing out iClone from my workflow due to the cost and importing and animating with Unreal but soon discovered that the tools that iClone offers weren't really there. Reallusion will need to keep on top of this as Unreal is slowly plugging these holes but I don't think is there yet

Iclone Easy Usage Review

Reviewed on 2022/10/12

Pros

Wow wow wow... I have a lot to say but I could make it short. All I can say is that, iclone is very very easy to use... You can bring your storytelling comes to life without keyframing knowledge... With the help of combining different motion from there actorcore stores is enough. And also good for motion capture data. Another one is how they integrate into other engine like Unreal engine, Daz, blender, Maya and others.

Cons

What I would like to say on this is that they should improve further more on how all the character looks without tweaking too much. But aside that, it's still good and very excellent.

Alternatives Considered

Unreal Engine

Reasons for Choosing iClone

Easy to use and saves alot of time with no modelling skills or keyframing knowledge needed.

Switched From

Blender

Reasons for Switching to iClone

Why I like unreal is because of the quality rendering engine they have... But based on that someone needs to have blueprint knowledge, that's why I chose iclone over them because no blueprint needed for iclone and the final rendering is straight forward unlike unreal where you have to use sequencer or take record before you can render final work

I love it and will continue to use it, as the benefits outweigh the faults.

Pros

I love the ease of use and the quality of content you can create easily and efficiently.

Cons

Some features and programs should be included. I paid extra for features that were phased out, and they nickel and dime you to get everything required to work with the software.
