Working with xactanalysis to report to and complete tasking within the two programs has been nice.

Pros

It will smoothly integrate into the other software systems we are required to use. Reporting and tasking is very nice to keep employees on track and make sure no control points are missed during a project.

Cons

Mobile platform has had its issues. Mostly it can freeze and shut down in the middle of completing a task. This has gotten better with the software updates over the last year.

So far the team at Next Gear Solutions has been very helpful. They have been willing to help with setup and adapted the system to the way we do business.

Pros

The workflow builder in DASH is absolutely amazing. It gives you the ability to define workflows by division and type of work. Not only does the system prompt the user to complete an item, but it literally takes you to the place in the system where you need to perform the task. For example, if you need to upload a Work Authorization, it will pull of the document for the customer to sign, or if you need to upload some photos, it will take you to the appropriate album where the photos should be saved.

Cons

The user interface is out-dated and you cannot save custom views or filters on any of the grids within the program.

Overall mediocre experience with Dash. Great customer service however, fast and friendly but didn't always offer a solution because of system issues. The program crashed too often.

Pros

The dashboard was very friendly on the eyes and easy to grasp by project manager. Excellent for invoicing purposes and to see costs in each file and overall profitability.

Cons

The online site kept crashing. Taking pictures through the application kept crashing as well and often pictures were lost. Alot of lagging on the online platform, happened frequently. Possible this has improved.

DASH is the most complete CRM specific to the disaster restoration industry. We utilize all functions of the program and don't plan on switching to anything else.

Pros

DASH was made with restoration experts in mind. From the desktop version to the mobile app, every function that's needed to run a successful restoration business is at your fingertips.

Cons

When it comes to marketing, DASH is not very robust in tracking relationships. The purchused another company "Luxor" to address this issue but you have to pay another monthly fee for this program.

Pros

I like that there is a separate training site (Dash University)

Cons

I don’t like that there is no administrative role to Dash Univ to be able to see what courses and options each position has to make training easier. I also wish Dash University was more interactive and allowed you to practice ‘test’ jobs in DASH.

The training was great at first. Brenda was wonderful and a pleasure to work with. However, she is only there to get you started. once you are up and running. someone else is supposed to take over to help you utilize the program. Well that NEVER happened.
The support team is pretty good when you have a question the can usually answer it as long as it is during business hours. After business hours the tech are not quite as knowledgeable. Which stinks if you are 4 hours behind them. The might want to consider having at least 1 or 2 seasoned employees manning the phone after hours. The price is high if you are only utilizing a small portion of the program. I believe the should section the program out for smaller companies, to add on as they need.

Pros

The Sales teams is definitely proficient in sales. They can sell!!!
I like mostly that everything is in one program. The program links with Quickbooks and Xactimate, allowing you to see all in one program.
The mobile app is great in the sense that employees are able to access any jobs, dates , phone numbers etc.. Also, when you call a through the app it automatically prompts the user to leave a note , and records it to the job file. The app has the capability tracking your equipment and drying records.
If you have an abundance of employees and time, Dry Track is a Great idea, it tracks your drying , your equipment, lets your employees know how much equipment is needed for each room.
The Accounting tab is wonderful it allows the user to check the the status of the jobs and where the budget is. It links with date trackers and lets you know how long before a lien is due. It has work order and invoice inputs and many additional features.

Cons

They use a lot of real estate on your screen. The lists do not expand, you can view 50 items at a time, but must scroll through a small view window.
The Calendar/Schedule is absolutely useless. The bought out Client Runner which had an extremely good calendar, however, they have not utilized it.
The Mobile App is hit or miss when it comes to photos. My techs are always complaining about the time it takes to upload and use the app. Also, you have the option to have it ask prior to going offline, but it never does. You find out later when you cannot upload anything. Then everything you entered is lost to turn it back to the online setting.
Dry Track can only be used from the app. This adds 2-3 hours min to set up and 1-2 to maintain readings. It is a headache to enter all the info from a phone or tablet. It would be easier to send the info to the office and have a person enter it on the desktop, but you can't do that, therefore most smaller companies cant afford to utilize the feature.
It has an great equip. inventory tracking program, but again it has to be entered from the the field not allowing the techs to complete the emergency service that is needed. Smaller companies cant afford 1or2 employees just entering Dry Track and Equip.
The document builder is great, however, it only allows for 2 customer signatures and 2 initials.
Reports builder has lots of options but are missing some pretty important items such as the Date liens need to be placed. I can go on and on!

I have been using this software for at about 10 years. I was on board when they first started and at the time it was a good product...because nothing else was out there. Now job management software has caught up. I am a restoration company and the Dry Track was rolled out years ago and still really doesn't work any better than a spread sheet that I created myself.
I finally lost it with them when they sold out to the insurance companies.
I had a Dry Track Job, during a Cat, we had several large losses and had to pull in help from another friendly mitigation company.
They did paper logs and moisture maps. When I tried to input 3 days of reading, the software would not let me change the date of the readings, it would only let me input all the reading with that days date. I thought I was missing something so I called customer support. They told me that I was unable to change the date of the readings....are you ready......to "protect the insurance company from insurance fraud! Ha. They actually told me, the customer, that I can not be trusted to honestly inout the date of service...to protect a third party that was not their customer.
I found a much better system, not just by a little but buy a lot. It works seamless. There is not mitigation platform, but Dash's never really worked anyway.
I won't name the system as I don't want anyone to think this is a bogus review. STAY AWAY. Also they are money hungry. When I cancelled they charged me an extra month.

Pros

This product does everything worse than the product I am using now. No lie.

Cons

It is a slow, clunky mess. It is just beyond words how bad it is until you use something that actually works. Mobile app is useless. Photo management is slow.

We are forced to have this in order to report our sales. That's what were using it for presently. We got tired of all the work-a-rounds that we had to learn so we now use other software to run our business.

Remember Y2K? We have that every year with this software. January 1st we have to tell DASH it's a New Year! I'M NOT KIDDING!

Pros

Sales staff is awesome! If they can sell this they can sell anything!

Cons

This software does a zillion things. In other words "Jack of all trades, master of none."
It appears that it was written by multiple coding teams and you'll find what you can do in one screen is not consistent to the next screen. By the way, you'll need multiple screens, pen and paper, a computer programmer's aptitude, Excel spreadsheet and full knowledge how that works, calculator and about a month to learn how to set it up and add in a few more months to set it up once you've learned how to set it up.
You'll also have to learn what it does not do so that you can get it to do what it will do.

Customer support is friendly and helpful. We should know as we are in regular touch with them. Our users get locked out daily and the only way to fix it now is call customer support and requests new passwords so they can set it up again. and there are days were u can log in but it just sits and spins while the person next to them is on and working. creates a lot of frustration with the employees in the field daily. Cost is insane for the construction version compared to the SVM version.

Dash is confusing and has no flow

Reviewed on 2018/04/11

Pros

I like that there is a mobile platform for everyone to look at. Its just hard because it doesn't function properly.

Cons

This software is glitchy, they dont tell you when a software update is released so your app never fixes itself without you uninstalling and reinstalling, they have equipment tracking but no easy way to actually track any of it, basically just a mobile inventory platform to see what you own. When i go to upload photos if i press sync they disappear, same with notes, its untrustworthy and time consuming. They had an old version out which needed alot of work so instead of fixing the problem they replaced the mobile software with something worse. Its honestly not good at all.
