1. I use it to generate well-researched quality content, daily. This works exceptionally well and I am far more productive than how I Googled and assembled content before Frase.
2. I use the Answer Assistant to provide extra and perhaps unexpected value on websites, based upon website data and value-added external data in the answers. As content is updated I updated the Assistants and their questions and the answers, and cross-link related answers. This is like running an ads campaign and paying attention to the analytics during the campaign. That's how I get the best value from the Answer Assistant, and I have not really scratched the surface yet.

Pros

While it is not necessarily intuitive to use all the features, most are easy to set up, and the support from the team is rapid and helpful.

I use the document creation daily and it is fantastic for scanning a wide topic area, or honing in on, say, three selected sites and "farming" their knowledge. Then, you can rephrase and rearrange it, and build content with similar themes for your client's website. The value is that you can add new insights along the way - with references. For example, I take top search queries from Google Search Console and use those in Frase to build more content to support the organic rankings. The AI analysis of the documents is better than you might expect.

This type of content building aligns with the other fantastic part of Frase - the intelligent answer assistants. I've used many of these and Frase adds the most value right out of the box. Frase indexes a site, and then you create categories of answers and questions, and the Answer Assistant gives visitors answers which you can fine-tune in the analytics. By rating, tuning and refining suddenly your visitors are getting real value - and you can also offer subscription forms under certain conditions.

The Answer Assistant offers immediate out of the box value. But of course, if you put in the effort to tune it and refine the answers then you get much more value. Doing this fine-tuning is not necessarily easy - it takes thought and effort - but Frase makes it as easy as it can be.

Cons

I have no real complaints, because the team is very responsive. The FAQs and some aspects of the system are not fully explained in the support documentation but it is being added to all the time. An evolving service always has a few hiccups, but in the end it is all heading in the right direction. No complaints.

Positive. I enjoy the features as they are, but I'm also looking forward to continued improvement as the team has been working to improve the tool at a very rapid pace. I've included the content research and curation tool as part of my SEO efforts when evaluating ways to improve a page's ranking.

Pros

The tool is really two tools---half content research and curation tool, half AI chatbot designed to quickly ingest your website content and provide answers to your prospects using this information. Both tools are excellent in their own rights. The content research significantly cuts down on the time needed to gather a list of the top relevant content and does a good job showing you the content holes in what you've written. The AI Chatbot, with training, can provide a more sophisticated chatbot experience than what is typically available in tree-style response bots.

Cons

The tool is still on the up and up, which means you will occasionally run into a bug or find some aspects of the UX confusing. The research and curation tool will sometimes pull a non-relevant piece of content and the AI chatbot requires an investment in getting it up and running accurately.

Alternatives Considered

Reasons for Switching to Frase

I chose Frase less as an alternative, and or more as a supplement to these other products. I'd like to replace my tree-style response chatbot completely with Frase, as I think an AI chatbot is the more future proof implementation of chatbots. But it will take training Frase with more data before it is ready for primetime on the website.

At date of this review (September 2020), with a few inconsistencies ironed out and an improvement to the user experience, Frase has a lot of potential! It has already cut our content research time in half.

Pros

It greatly speeds up the process of gathering and researching content ideas. The document feature acts as a "dashboard" for different thought or references you may use in your content.

Cons

The interface can sometimes be confusing and hard to navigate. Certain features are not fully clear or well-explained.

Absolute Time Saver! Enabled Our Team To Post New Content Regularly

Reviewed on 2020/09/10

Pros

The software is easy to use and learn. It really saves you so SO much time when writing new blog posts that are optimized for SEO. My team used to dread writing new blog posts, however, frase changed that for us and it really has facilitated us being able to post new content regularly since we started using the tool. It is extremely useful to be able to create a content brief in a few minutes and outline the structure of a blog posts that can then be assigned to a team member to compose. Being able to do all of the research needed to write a helpful article without leaving the software really simplies the writing process. You can also add quotes with citations by just clicking on the ones provided. Incorporating some of the questions related to your topic which are easily provided by the tool also helps a lot with the content flow. Really happy we discovered frase and looking forward to more features and continued improvements to the tool!

Cons

I really don't have any complaints about the software, so far it's only been helpful to our team and has saved us so many hours of work.

I love it. I can't imagine doing my writing work without it these days!

Pros

I never have to stare at a blank screen anymore. The minute I enter a title Frase, gives me all I need to get started with that topic.
Even if I don't have topics, Frase makes it a breeze to find new topics in minutes.
I love the ability to add stats and quotes in my article with just a click. This cuts short my writing time, and improves the quality of my writing.

Cons

Sometimes the auto-save feature is flaky. I've lost an article one time due to auto-save not working. But most times it is very reliable.

I am very impressed with Frase and the evolution; the team is supportive and responsive. I upgraded from a single license to a team license because of how good it is!

Pros

The Content analysis tool showing the heatmap of keywords is amazing.
The ability to create briefs and share them with specific writers whilst keeping their work separate is wonderful, as is the answers machine. They're constantly innovating and bringing in new tools and functions so stay glued.

Cons

It's a shame that SEO scores (DA/PA analysis) of the top 20 competitors in the SERPs aren't included in the core offering, as multiple alternatives offer this in the core offering.

My overall experience with frase is quite fantastic. The more I am using this tool, the more I am learning about all of its sweet optimization secrets. Long story short, if you ever feel a need for a simple solution for your on page content optimization and overall content research, you can of course try this amazing tool.

Pros

With frase, now researching for any keyword has become so much easier for me. Being a content writer of my own website, I used to do manual google research before for writing a content. Now, I got the Frase. What a surprise for me! I just need to create a document with my keyword now and every topics that are covered by my competitors will be on my laptop screen in no time. Besides, I can easily research on any topic or question ideas to get all the idea about new keyword. Honestly, optimizing content was never so straightforward for me before using frase. I can also get all of the question details that are covered my competitors. And, I will have the option to export the brief summary of my research in word, pdf or plain text so that I can access them even when I am in offline. When it comes to ease of use, you must count on this frase, because it's so easy to use.

Cons

When there are lots of benefits of frase, I must say, it's not completely flawless. The first con I want to discuss is new user will struggle to understand all of its features at the initial stage. But, with regular use, frase can become a great research assistant for you to analyze your competitors. Anoter important point is you may see some irrelevant topics when you research on a new documents which may make the entire thing more complicated. Except these few cons, it is a great tool for you.

Stay one step ahead of the competition

Reviewed on 2022/05/29

Pros

The Frash is a tool that I use almost every day. There is no other tool like fresh at an affordable price. I think those who buy their lifetime deal are big winners.
Some pros are:
1. Better NLP algorithm.
2. You can create content briefs with some links. I like this because this is a time-saving feature.
3. The question suggestions from Reddit, Quora, and PAA are very impressive.
4. You can identify content gaps in your article.
5. They have an AI writer but I am not using this feature.
6. they are affordable compared to other SEO optimization tools like SurferSEO and also beginners friendly.
7. Feedback from customers is taken seriously and action is taken.

Cons

I dislike some:
1. They have several export options but do not have the document as a Word doc.
2. A British and American word isn't recognized by Frase.
3. Take time to load the dashboard.

Early stage product; a TON of potential

Let's start with how young this product is: before their AppSumo debut, they had less than 200 users. Now, they have tens of thousands. At times, it feels like a young product (see the above "like least"). But, they are also releasing new features pretty much every day, improvements every day, and they have a public roadmap with voting so that the users can guide the development. They are ambitious, hard-working, and their customer centricity is top-notch, making me extremely optimistic about the future of this software.

Let's put it this way: I'm ecstatic that I got a lifetime unlimited license because I know these guys are going to do huge things moving forward.

Pros

One of the most overlooked keys to ranking in SEO is outbound links to authoritative searches - citing your sources and backing up your statements, in other words. Lots of people focus on topic research, or crushing thousands of words, but they forget to back their words up.

Frase does all that research for you (mostly). It breaks out common subtopics and finds authoritative sources you can cite in your writing. It also, obviously, will help you learn about the topic you are writing about by pulling in blurbs relevant to your topic as part of that research.

It also has other features: an answer bot for your website, content analysis, etc. I haven't used those features much, so I can't comment on them, but they do seem like promising starts.

Cons

Topic relevancy. I'm a lawyer and legal content is hard. Many times subtopics aren't addressed correctly or they list the same subtopic multiple times in a row under synonyms. (Need more LSA, I believe.) After using this for a few weeks, I'd hesitate to use it for research on topics I don't already know - were I to hand one of these briefs to a non-lawyer, I'd imagine I'd get five paragraphs of regurgitation in a row, all explaining the same topic over and over.

Overall, we would say Frase is a very powerful and promising tool. The Frase support team is super responsive and is committed to helping you out. If you're willing to overlook the minor bugs and are willing to be patient, Frase is a winner.

Our only recommendation to the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] of Frase is to focus more on the tool’s stability improvements - we know measures are already being put in place for this.

Every startup is bound to have teething issues. So does Frase. But given its time saving features, its future potential, and excellent customer service and dedication of the support team, Frase stands out.

Pros

**PROS**

(1.) **Cuts down time taken to create content briefs**, as it makes research a breeze - this is very useful especially if you have a team of content writers. It lets you quickly create content briefs and distribute it to your team in various formats - PDF, shareable links, etc.

(2.) **Speaking of research**, it lets you find out what kind of questions people are asking around your topic. This helps tailor your content accordingly.

(3.) **One-click add:** You can scan the results on the right, and easily import large content summaries into your document with just a few clicks.

(4.) **Comes with a rich content editor:** helpful if you want to directly edit your imports to create your content.

(5.) **Easily integrates with your Google Search Console**, sorts all the high performing keywords, and gives you an option to import and optimize your existing blog content. We think this is a fantastic feature.

(6.) **Answers feature:** we haven’t tested this out yet, but it sounds extremely promising. Frase’s bot crawls your website to understand its content. The idea is, when your website visitor asks a question, the chatbot will deliver an appropriate answer. However, what we’re unsure of yet is whether the existing content on our website itself needs to be optimized for this to work correctly.

Cons

(1.) **Not very intuitive at the outset.** If we hadn’t watched a few demos, it would have been hard for me to figure out how to use the tool. Even after watching the demos, it takes a bit of getting used to.

(2.) **There are minor bugs in the UI**, but we’re willing to overlook it because of the Lifetime/Onetime deal.

(3.) **There is no bulk download or link sharing feature:** let’s say you create a dozen content briefs. You have to click on one document at a time to download or share it. But if you add a team member and give them access to the tool, they will have access to all the documents via a shared workspace.

(4.) **Frase kept throwing our users out several times**. We’ve heard in Facebook Groups that Frase has been having some performance issues. The support folks at Frase are highly committed and very responsive, and hopefully stability improvements will be put in place soon.

(5.) **We found a bug in #5 under PROS **- it didn't import content from one of our existing blogs. We have reached out to support.

I don't do reviews but Frase really needs to be known about.

Reviewed on 2020/09/08

My story with Frase is not that interesting other than I am not known for my writing abilities before I found Frase, and I'm also not the sharpest knife in the drawer at learning new technology.

Having said that, by just typing a keyword into the start, like for instance dog, I was given enough information to write engaging informative content about dogs from so many angles it wasn't funny.

I expect what I do today with Frase will quickly get better, as I become more savvy with everything that this software can do, but out of the box for a newbie, it made me pass my mentor's opinion, so I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.

One thing I am sure of... my ability to make profit on my time just skyrocketed the moment I made the decision to take a shot with Frase, and thus far in 2020, it is without doubt the best investment I have made in my new "do what I want to" career as an info product creator.

Pros

I am NOT your typical user of a research writing tool like Frase, because I'm almost 70, I'm retired from real estate, and I'm not particularly gifted at new learning curves.

The results I got from my first time use of Frase was the first reason why I got so immediately blown away with Frase.

Out of the box, I was able to create a 900 plus word document that my mentor, a top PLR writer/guru, told me was better than most of the PLR sellers he knows are selling.

He told me that it needed some work though because it wouldn't pass CopyScape.

It was at that point I laughed, and leveled with him, that I had created that document in just a few minutes with Frase, and that I hadn't yet made it my own rewriting it in my own voice.

It was at that point he was as amazed with Frase as I was.

Cons

I am not a good one to talk about negatives for Frase. I love the ability to be able to take a topic that I know nothing about, and quickly throw together a written document that looks as good as if it was written by a top authority on the topic.

To me Frase is a miracle... FULL STOP, so if there is room for improvements to this thing I'm not a good person to ask what they should be. It's quite perfect for this old man.

Great Software for Content Creation, SEO and Market Research

I need to create a lot of content. A LOT. Frase helps me streamline the process and then helps me compare my content with the top 20 results in Google to make sure that I'm covering all the bases I need to. I get summaries, statistics, links, topics to include... really everything I need as background research so that I can create top-quality content which provides value and which has a better chance of a high ranking on search engines. I also love the concept maps which allow me to see related concepts in a neat map format. It's a great way for me to get ideas for related content and I've used it to create a monthly content calendar for my company. It's easy to learn, and easy to produce excellent results really fast.

Pros

There is so much to love. For one thing, Frase saves me a huge amount of time (hours per project) when I'm doing research for content creation. Not only that, but the approach - looking for questions that people are asking, is both practical and effective. I want to know what the questions are, so that I can provide content to answer them. It's really as simple as that. Frase helps me know what's important to my audience, and then gives me a content brief in seconds which I can use to answer questions with relevant information. There's no guesswork now - I can see exactly what I need to do to write relevant content which will do well - both in terms of SEO considerations and simply as useful, helpful content for my readers.

Cons

I haven't really found anything to dislike - which is unusual for me. It does what it says it will do, and it does it well. If I have to find something - it's that I'd like keyword research to be a little more accessible from within the program - but it's by no means a deal-breaker.

Pros

Adding the right semantics and backlinks can make a huge difference, and that's all built into the workflow.

This is hands down one of my best SEO content writing buy. I have tried a lot of writing tools out there, but this is the best I found that makes my process easier. I admit there are other tools that does some of the task better. But Frase does everything under the same hood and still gives a great result.

Pros

I am absolutely a fan of the question explorer module. I used to look up SERP results, read those contents one by one and get back to my editor to write the content individually. With Frase, I can simply check the top ranking contents and websites and get the questions I need to answer in my content to beat them in ranking. It doesn't get easier than this.

Cons

Ever feel the need to stop sounding like a broken marketing record?
This tool is for you. It genuinely tells you what Google and users tend to favor as far as topics go for whatever seed keyword you give it. Bonus: you can look at this from different country-specific perspectives.

Pros

I tested the bot and it was super impressive.
If you have a knowledge base for your company, Frase is an absolute gem.
I work regularly with the brief portion of the tool.
If you have any need for content marketing or SEO that *works*, Frase is a must. It helps you learn from the best ranked content online while giving you the opportunity to make their content and copy writing mistakes.

Cons

If you use it for non-English briefs, it removes accents which is maddening. We could use it for other languages if it didn't do that. Honestly, that's the truly maddening because it would really really help out as a basic feature without investing in full multi-lingual support features.

Frase has allowed me to produce better content to be found in the SERPS and that means more clients for me. This is the best SaaS product I have ever found. I cannot rate it high enough it has changed my legal practice. It is inspired and brilliant it is a must buy.

Pros

Frase is the best SaaS product I have seen. I wish I would have got this product when it was on AppSumo. I am still mad at myself. I did the free trial and I was blown away. It was everything I could wish for. So, I went ahead and got the monthly subscription. Let me tell you, this product is Amazing. I just use it to optimize my content and to make new content for my pages on my website. I love how it takes the SERP rankings of your competitors and allows you to see what they are doing. Not only is the AI learning, you are learning. I am a solo going against some of the biggest SEO companies in the nation and my state. I see what they do via this product and my pages get better. I love this product.

Cons

The price and it is not even the price, because this product is worth more, it just pains me to know you could have got this at AppSumo. I think this product is so valuable.

Content Creation Game Changer

Reviewed on 2020/09/08

Pros

We used to manually mine the first page results to establish a content outline for our writers. Now with Frase, we research the results, build the outline, and seed our content team with content snippets, reference links, and key data points to include in the article. The time it has given us back has paid for the tool many times over already.

Cons

A big selling point is the Question and Answer bot, however, I have found it hard to apply to certain verticals.

As soon as I got Frase I took the opportunity to do a couple of trial runs with it. I created the base documents for a few new articles. It literally took seconds for the software to produce the information I was looking for. Literally faster than I could possibly do it. And I am really good with Google. I am the person that you called when you can’t find something yourself. I’m very happy with the quality of the research that Frase creates for you.

As an experiment, I create a document for a few of the women in my business group. I forwarded them along so that they would have some ideas for both article Creation as well as video creation. They were all quite excited about the results of the receipt.

In reality, I created all of this in well under 30 minutes. There is no way without frames that I would’ve been able to have created these documents that quickly.

I’m excited to see where this product goes.

Pros

* easy to use/understand
* fast
* clear results
* responsive development team

Cons

* it's new, so there is room to grow, but generally there are no cons

Awesome Ai Help Bot For My Site

A fantastic experience after the usual first hour or two steep learning curve.

A fantastic experience after the usual first hour or two steep learning curve.

Pros

This is a fantastic product. I don't use it exactly as per the guidelines, but as I train its answers, I can legitimately see it saving me thousands in customer service agents per year. For 60% of answers its already more accurate than my staff, because I get to train it and it tells them exactly what I say every time. If your are on the fence, give it a go, as its definitely a top tier product.

Cons

The initial scrapes gave somewhat bad answers, but maybe I did it wrong. I later scraped just a few key pages and then it was far easier to train.
