We were able to move the money we normally spent on people chasing families for payments, on keeping licensing documents and more, and use that to pay our teachers more money. Playground has made everyone happy.
Pros
So easy to use, the support we get is immediate when we have a question and it has all the features we need to run a preschool.

Overall Playground has been a great choice for us to have changed over to. Being able to use one program has condensed files and time.
Pros
I love that I have such a big platform in one program. I was previously using a different program and I have had to also keep track of children's schedules on a separate calendar, filled spots and upcoming open spots on a spread sheet, when parents messaged on the app it would go to all staff members, with Playground.. it goes just to the person that it is meant for. And the parents have to option to message each other on the app as well so staff aren't the go between for messages and personal information doesn't have to be given. For staff, they are able to see just their schedules and not everyone else's. They are also able to keep track of their hours worked whereas the other program only let the administrator see that. We have been really enjoying this program.
Cons
Well as stated, we were using another program prior, that program would send staff and the parent a notification when child/ren were signed in or out of the program. It helped us to keep track and we wouldn't have to go into the app to check to see who or how many were signed in. Tracking monthly attendance, reports every sign in and out is displayed vs just giving the amount of days attended per child.

Have found nothing that I like about Playground.
Cons
Difficult to use for staff and parents. Not clear on how to use Playground and having virtual calls do not help.

I love it. We just built a new building and equipped it with the KISI locks. These have been amazing. We use it for billing, parent communication, newsletters, menus, etc. I am so glad to have found this system.
Pros
PG has really helped me to organize my center. I love the communication with parents, the ability to do newsletters, and mostly the lock integration.
Cons
I do wish it was easier to see student/staff scheduling in the app. As is, I do not use PG for staff scheduling for this reason. I need my staff to be able to see everyone's schedule, so it just doesn't make sense for me yet.
The lock system is great, the only thing I would change is the fact that if staff uses their pin to enter/exit the building, it clocks them in/out each time. This did not work for us, so I created a "fake" staff member so we could all use the same pin. The only downside is that I have to change that every time a staff member leaves. It would be much easier just to have each staff use their own PIN and disable that when they no longer work here.

I really like playground. I can have it on my computer and the app on my phone on the go. I am starting small with my business and plan on keeping playground as I grow larger because it is really great and I can trust them with all of my needs.
Pros
The customer service is unmatched and SO helpful! Playground does EVERYTHING I would like it to do, an all in one hub for us!
Cons
It takes a bit of learning as any hub with all the gadgets would. I do wish the app had all the same toggles the computer interface has. However, the customer service manager you are assigned is quick and easy to get ahold of and can help you. If they are busy, someone else is always available too!

I am a big fan, I live out in Minnesota and it is a little less popular here, but I do keep telling providers about it. The goal is for us home providers would love to find the simplest and easiest app and this one is by far been my favorite. I hope it becomes more popular here and our food program is added to it. I love that this software does not seem meant for centers but more in home providers also.
Pros
It is so user friendly and simplified. The support is always on the messages and ready to help with quick solutions.
Cons
There is a few things I have put in the request and suggestions that I am waiting for. I do with it was a bit more colorful and had color coded options for the calendar for providers to put vacation, holidays, etc in color sections. I would like to see a pop up memo for parents when they sign in and out. I would like to put my receipts in from my phone to make documenting easier and faster. Possibly training or news letters to customers for new features added. Being able to download licensing documents, like fire drills and storm drills and we could put dates in to simplify the paperwork and make it all digital.

Playground has been very helpful in my getting started and very quick to resolve any issue that I may have. Other programs I worked with it took days to get my issues resolve. Playground has any problems that I may have resolved within a matter of a few minutes. They truly care about their customers!

Playground offers attendance, invoicing, accounting, payroll, 24/7 assistance live chat, several ways to communicate with parents and for them to communicate back!
Cons
Nothing comes to mind! They are helpful in every aspect!

I am constantly learning how to do new things with Playground, which is great! Overall, my experience has been superb, and it makes my day much more enjoyable!
Pros
It isvery easy to use, yet very powerful. The staff is great, and they are very receptive to ideas to add or improve Playground. Our parents really like how easy it is to sign their children in and out, and the communication with staff. WE tried other products and feel that Playground gives us the best value!
Cons
As an Administrator, I can't do some things from the App such as fix other staff members time in or time out, and I can't run reports.

Pros
How "one stop shop" the app is for child care management and communication with parents. The ability to add multiple photos in one area for families to view and be able to caption are awesome. Also love how responsive the team is to questions, fixes, and updates.
Cons
Honestly, no major complaints. I looked at Brightwheel, have used ProCare and Playground beats them both. The functionality of the app and desktop site are terrific. I have a few personal quirks to work through but when I ask about it to the team, they either help with a solution or have suggestions page (that they USE!) to add future updates on!

Being new to playground, I have enjoyed knowing that the files are all in one location verses having several files. I am going to appreciate the billing portion of playground, and looking forward in having this form of communication available with our patrons.
Programming support with playground is awesome! I am sure I have asked several "dumb" questions, but not once have I felt belittled. The support staff has been very helpful in explaining each step. Appreciate this!

[sensitive content hidden] is great on the chat is has been able to help me immediately when I have any issues.

Very user friendly, for a early childhood educator that is also a business owner it is so helpful to have all the bookkeeping and tracking in one place.
Cons
Only con is can find so far is there is not a place for visitors to sign in. I continue to have a paper log.

Pros
I love how everything is in one spot and you have easy access. I also love that if you need a feature to be added that you can request the feature and playground's team will look into it further to see if they can accommodate our needs.
Cons
Their are a few cons but it could be a feature that gets added at a later time. Students contracts cannot be added to their schedule as marking them out(not absent) on the days they are contracted out and same with the staff schedules. I am hopeful that more features will be added as time goes on.

No "grace period" while onboarding (billing starts immediately); a little pricier than the competitors, but worth it!

I wish the OMY feature was a permanent button on main screen. That is my ONLY GRIPE.

That my family have the option to pay with credit or bank accounts & they can see the revolving payments and end-of-year totals as well as the calendar at anytime.
Cons
They say that you can bill families and be paid out on the same day and they are wrong unless you have them billed prior.
Example: My families pay Monday morning for the week and the soonest I can be "paid" is Tuesday at the end of the day but I won't see any funds in my bank until Wednesday morning.

I am loving how easy it is to share posts with the families. I love sending pictures, and quick notes. The parents are loving the daily communications. Playground has helped me collect the clients tuition on a timely manner. I make the invoices on a recurring setting and its one less thing to worry about within my busy day. So easy!
Cons
Playground does not have the updated state paperwork needed to enroll. I sent them the right paperwork. All is good.

Pros
How easy it is to use. The paperwork part is tricky and I still struggle with getting things uploaded, but other than that it is a wonderful platform and I highly recommend it.
Cons
The paperwork part for children is hard to load new forms. If I need to change documents, it will not let me remove old ones.

Pros
I love how user friendly this app is regardless of how well you know technology. The lay out looks like a social media page which is awesome.
Cons
Sometimes my page freezes and I am not sure why. I will exit the app and move on and it will be fine.
