It is being a great experience for our organizaion and we are very glad about the acquisition.
Pros
The several possibilities of creating, customizing and managing campaigns and donation pages and how the personalizing tools reach each interaction for fundraisers and donors are undoubtedly the biggest pros of this platform.
Cons
Even being responsive and very intuitive, the Site Builder Tool should allow us to define more precisely the mobile phone perspective.

Issues w/ functions - only 1 customer svc person- not fully responsive unless you pay xtra

When evaluating different walkathon platforms, we created a detailed matrix with all the important features and supports that were important to my son's school. The salesperson assured us the site was responsive (I didn't realize that didn't mean FULLY responsive, so we can make it a tiny bit smaller and it responds, but on a mobile device it's like looking through a microscope).
While lack of accessible customer service is the most concerning issue, many problems surface when you have a live event in addition to the virtual event. Particularly when it comes to registration fees, this platform is not set up correctly for that. They count registration fees as DONATIONS, but they are not tax deductible, and there is no separate type transaction for registration fees. You can't enter any registration fees manually because the platform is really not set up for events that charge registration.
The On-Site user interface is extremely limited and we had to use computers and go to the regular site for most people checking in. We found a serious issue with the platform when merging duplicate records (the system "lost" registration fees), and the cust svc person just didn't understand what we were talking about.
Our most critical need was customer service. Rallybound has ONE PERSON answering all customer service emails, and they don't allow phone calls. As we were hitting some hurdles setting up for our second annual walkathon on their platform, we were not getting the support needed from the customer service person and we emailed the executives. We did get connected to a new Customer Success Manager who ultimately told us she'd refund our money for year 3 and suggested we use another platform.
We just completed our second year of a three year contract, and after I sent a detailed note with many observations and issues we had asking for help, they suggested we stop using their platform and they could refund the rest of our contract.
If you can't afford to pay to customize the platform for features that aren't included, should be included in the base platform like responsiveness) you might think about looking at other platforms.
Pros
Look of the website, team function.
Cons
Very confusing admin side. Lack of customer support.
Response from Neon One
Thank you for your feedback. We take it very seriously and are always looking to add more value to our customers.
We have strived to design our system so that all transactions are clearly distinguishable, regardless of whether it is a registration fee or a donation via a mobile app, or any other form of giving we support. Nonprofits of all sizes use our system in creative and effective ways, but there are some intricate outliers which we always consider for product improvements.
Our goal is to continually enhance our clients' experience with us. We recently increased the size of the tech support and customer service teams. We are also adding office hours, webinars and online chat to supplement our email and phone support.
We take great pride in our responsiveness, but fully recognize there is always room for improvement. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to making your experience better.

Disappointed

Not good. Avoid if possible.
Not good. Avoid if possible.
Pros
Initially we liked the perceived ability to fully customize their platform. But when you get down to it, they'll charge you for those customizations, and it's more limited than you think. We loved the fact that they have an API, but it's slow and barely usable in real world implementations. They **promised** recurring donations through Stripe, but never delivered. Now they are pushing their own CC processor, and penalizing customers if you don't convert. Contact me and I'll be happy to explain in detail.
Cons
Both Support and Customer Service will give you the runaround for months. Until you are up for renewal, of course. Then they will be on the phone with you, promise the world, but ultimately deliver on nothing. It's not a flexible solution, and requires a lot of administration. They also added additional fees to our contract two weeks before renewal.

RallyBound is a solid, easy to use platform

We're fairly new clients and our P2P events have only just started up using RallyBound for the first time, but International China Concern's experience so far has been terrific.
The onboarding with their business development team was smooth, answering our many questions well and having patience as we came to our decision. The implementation team went above and beyond to accommodate our multi-currency, multi-country needs, including changing a significant part of the registration process. And the ongoing support since our launch has been timely and efficient. All of this was such a change from our previous vendor where our organization was almost too small to be cared for well.
Pros
Both the front end and back end tools are simple and easy to use. Creating events is a simple thing to do. The reporting is comprehensive. Setting up integrations with payment processors and bulk email services was so fast and smooth.
Cons
We wish there were some more master controls, such as back-end users and email autoresponders. We also wish the connections with more old school payment processors was as smooth as those with Stripe or WePay, but that probably has more to do with the processors than with RallyBound's ability to work with them.
Response from Neon One
Thank you so much Sam for the kind review! It's been our pleasure to help ICC! Regarding the back-end controls, we will be launching a new master admin interface soon, which provides multi-campaign controls in one single interface. For payment processors, yes, they all have their own different setups, and we do our best to make them as smooth as possible within the processor's specific constraints.

A decent mid-level fundraising tool

Pros
Customer service, ease of adaptability, Salesforce syncing.
Cons
Rather limited feature set. There is virtually no event management functionality. Some of the backend configurations are extremely complicated, which can lead to big mistakes.

Powerful fundraising software for salesforce
Reviewed on 2018/03/07
Pros
Powerful to setup fundraising campaigns and capture money for your drives via social media. H final forms look great.
Cons
There's some upfront setup thst is not easy to do for most users without being an advanced user of Salesforce. This is not necessarily a con but something to be aware of.
