Pros

Payworks is a fine program to use when the main purpose is payroll and great for a small company.

Cons

Payworks is very finicky and does not offer a lot of features compared to other softwares out there.

My experience has been top-shelf. If I had done anything wrong, I got a warning notice. It is user-friendly, and the staff has always been easy to talk to if I encounter any issues that need addressing.

Pros

It is user friendly and when I have any questions, it doesn't take very long to get assistance online through the chat agent. I love how you all do your best to make our lives easier by doing payroll.

Cons

I cannot think of anything I don't like about it

It's been great. The transition from Deluxe was smooth and if I couldn't figure something out, [sensitive content hidden] always helped me.

Pros

It's easy to use, the support is awesome. Wish we had signed up earlier.

Cons

Nothing really. It takes me about 15 minutes to process payroll from timesheets to entering the information into Sage.

Pros

The program is very easy to use and employees are satisfied with their electronic paystubs.

Cons

The employee setup screen. I find it is easy to miss sections (example banking information) when setting up an employee. I wish the program alerted you to missed information. I also wish that their were more defaults (we're exempt from WSIB but I have to manually enter this on every new employee). Overall, setting up employees is more tedious than our previous payroll provider (Deluxe Payweb).

QuickBooks Payroll and ADP GlobalView Payroll

I have 7 Payworks and I find the experience overall good. The program is easy to use. I also like who the program evolves and updates so many of it's modules to ensure ease of use and make tasks as simple as possible.

Pros

Payworks is easy to use. Customer service is quick to respond.

Cons

To create a new review report can be a struggle.

some of the edit items "punch in if you want to change the time you have to wait until the end of the day or have to wait until there are 2 times entered in.

On a monthly basis, it fabulous as once everything is in place it works seamlessly when I need to go on and take care of the payroll.

Pros

I am not an accountant or have any accounting background. Not being a numbers person it is so helpful to be able to call Payworks and have someone talk me through what I need to do with the site.

Cons

I’m sure the directions are helpful to people who understand accounting and math, but I like to call and talk to people because the instructions can be too confusing for me and I’m terrified of doing it wrong and not being able to correct it.

We had a hard time getting the initial training. Then, when we needed assistance it was difficult to get hold of someone. And when we did get hold of them, they weren't very helpful.

Pros

At least it's a computer system. It's better than doing it by hand and a calculator.

Cons

It's been very difficult to get help and training on it. As well as the fact that there's only limited characters in the notes section. We often needed more.
