User Interface and Cost effectiveness of the Tool is what helped me the most to choose this product.

GRE features like Archiving Retention and Restoration could have been better.
User management could have been improvised with ACL

The interface is very easy to understand.

It was throwing errors while adding the devices it might be the credentials issue or template issue. We need to dig into logs for easy to troubleshoot the issue.

I can't use it to test before install i production

Quite extensive with features. the configlets are easy to use and quite practical. The list of recommended version for each device is one of the main reason we got this product.

There are small things here and there that could be annoying when you are migrating; menus refreshing after almost each operations, when doing some actions you are sent to an other place in the page and can't go back without navigating the menu again. nothing critical but can take some time when doing big jobs.

I like that you can back up and restore switch config, track compliance against CIS benchmarks and have an audit trail of who made configuration changes to devices. The vulnerability and EoL reporting is also useful.

I found the initial setup of adding devices and the required credentials to be a little unclear. We needed an account with full admin rights on the network devices in order to back up config and check for vulnerabilities and compliance.

Setup and configuration was simple and fast. In the space of 4 hours all of our switches are being backed up and security policies are reporting configuration issues. Unauthorized changes get reported to our NOC and real-time change detection is operational.

Getting used to the menu organization is taking some time.

NCM is part of our Opmanager deployment so I didn't know much about it when we deployed it
The more I use it the more i found out about it. It has some very useful features and is a very good bolt on for Opmanager

It is not well laid out. Not sure if this is because it is a bolt on rather than a standalone product but I feel that things are scattered about, instead of everything being under a single menu option.. There are two or three different ways to get to NCM specific components and this make sit difficult to find setting if you are unfamiliar with it.

Its helps to manage the backup and do the configuration of devices on large run

No proper tech reference.we need to raise a tac and that is also take much time

Searching. Every time it bring me at first screen (it doesnt remember search criteria).

I like most about ManageEngine Network Configuration Manager is it saves time and makes network administrators life so easy, automates all configuration tasks, Easy to troubleshoot the issues of network devices,Network Configuration Manager is an user friendly.

Nothing cons to say about ManageEngine NCM.

Relatively easy and intuitive to setup without custom scripting

For our initial needs of a configuration management and switch backup application, this fulfills the need.

It gives the deeplook into the configuration changes of Network devices.
It provides firmware vulnerability hence helps IT team to update to ping point the vulnerable network devices and update it with latest firmware thus protecting Business.

Not good with MDM. At times struggle to configure.

Our IT infrastructure benefits greatly from backup and restores features. In case of disaster or power outage, we are so concerned about saving our devices' configurations.

The backup process for Huawei devices was a bit challenging for me, but apart from that I was satisfied with the product.

Configuration backup feature is mostly used and it helps our Network administrators to backup configurations with ease.

Current Dasboard is ok however there is a room for improvement.

no issue I found its suited my work need .

The solution is very cost-effective and has better value than the provided feature. It's well-suited for small to medium-sized business organizations
