Overall, Shiptime provides a central source for courier deliveries. It is easy to use, but is often more expensive than similar apps using the same couriers. The support staff and access to the support staff is superior, and is often a reason for selecting Shiptime as the app to be used. The con is that scheduling a p/u is often a day later than using other apps.
Pros
Ease of use, and uncomplicated system with good visibility of suppliers.
Cons
Limited remarks for additional instructions to drivers.

I like that there is several options to choose from when booking a carrier - depending on pricing and transit time
Cons
The platform locks up frequently. Highly irritating. Only way to continue with your shipment is to log out and start over. This does not always work. Sometimes you may have to do this 3 - 4 times. Again highly annoying when you have multiple shipments to do and the platform locks up.

We enjoy using ShipTime. I've already explained above how ShipTime helps us with choosing the correct courier service to best suit our customers' needs. I expect we will continue to use ShipTime.
Pros
We were made aware of this software by CFIB some years ago. The ability to quickly compare delivery times and costs with different couriers was the main feature we wanted to use. It allowed us to keep shipping costs reasonable for ourselves and our customers. When customers ask, we can honestly tell them we search for the most effective shipping method that best suits their needs. ShipTime not only gives us that amazing feature but also has a very well laid out interface. It is easy to learn and keeps the number of steps involved with setting up a shipment to a minimum. I particularly like how easy it it to recall historical shipments and look up proofs of delivery and other details.
Cons
The only negative point I can think of is that the first shipment notification includes financial and payment details. I would prefer to have no financials on the first notification, just the tracking number, consignee details, package details, references (e.g. PO and sales order references).

Shiptime has always been reliable, very easy to use (in recent years) and still relatively easy to use (going back to the ZoomShippr days). I've been able to train my whole team on how to use it to generate shipping quotes and send off our high-value/time-sensitive products to our clients. We've always been very happy and I cannot recall a single issue in over 7 years of usage.
Pros
I like how proactive the development team is and how much the website and its functions have continue to improve in every aspect throughout the years. It seems that they've covered just about every possibly useful feature we need.
Cons
The interface was less desirable/clean-cut years ago and shipping to recipients that weren't in your address books was tedious.

I use two shipping platforms and I have used Shiptime for approximately 8 years. Their website is extremely easy to use and their customer support has been excellent. The only issue is their shipping costs are higher than their competitor. They provide quotes using the same courier however the cost is always more expensive. However the competitors website is highly inferior to Shiptime’s. If Shiptime could bring their cost inline with their competitor I would always use Shiptime.
Pros
Shiptime’s website is easy to use. Information such as quotes, tracking and invoicing is easy and convenient to access. Ease of use is extremely important to me and Shiptime makes it easy to place shipments and follow up. Their Customer Support has been excellent.
Cons
I cannot think of anything that I dislike about their software. Easy to use and retrieve information.

The biggest benefit to ST is the cost savings - their shipping costs are significantly lower than any other courier we have been able to source ourselves.
Pros
ShipTime is extremely easy to use, and proves to be the cheapest shipping option time and time again. The most beneficial feature to our organization is the ability to received multiple quotes from different courier companies for your one shipment. It is extremely useful to see the different shipping costs, along with who the carrier is and their turn around time.
Cons
Our least favorite feature of this software is the billing. It would be the most ideal for our organization to receive a bill from ST on a regular basis (Weekly / Biweekly / Monthly), and be able to pay via CHQ / EFT. Currently the only two available options (Credit card at time of purchase or ST automatically billing your CC once per week) are not our ideal choices.

I love it! I've tried using other platforms such as shipstation, but I just couldn't figure it out over there. Scheduling a courier pick up on that platform? Forget it. Shiptime is quick, easy, and so user-friendly, I want to ship everything with shiptime even my personal packages.
Pros
I love how easy it is to find the best rates and how quick the process is! If I use my favorite courier, I know that they'll pick up the package before the end of the day and our customers will get their package that much sooner.
Cons
I wish I could adapt the size of the shipping label within shiptime and not through my printing preferences. Nothing ever looks right when I mess with the print settings, so having a few different size options would be so awesome as I usually need to trim the label a significant amount to get it to kinda-sorta fit inside my little label envelope.

Pros
The two things we like most about this software are, first, getting quotes on shipping times and the cost relative to the shipping times. The second thing we like is being able to send shipping labels to our suppliers. This added convenience is appreciated by our suppliers as well because it saves them a great deal of time.
Cons
There are some couriers that are being used that are careless with the pickups. We have been frustrated when couriers go to pick up something and do not have any paperwork and/or do not even know what they are picking up.

Pros
We are a small company and do not have sufficient shipping volume to qualify for large discounts. Having a product that can offer us good shipping prices on multiple carriers is the primary reason we use ShipTime. Another very useful feature is the ability to create the international shipping documentation, which saves a lot of work for us.
Cons
The only feature I can suggest would be the ability to print shipping labels for couriers, and then schedule the pickup later. This is particularly important for couriers where the requested pickup time doesn't appear to show up in their system (Loomis is an example). Ideally we can package the item and attach shipping labels in shipments made in the morning, and then schedule a pickup later in the day for all boxes that are ready to go.

Shiptime offers an easy way to view shipping costs for multiple carriers all at once and allows you to ship via the method that you prefer depending on your requirements.
Cons
It would be nice to have the tracking information available right at the end of the payment process for each shipment to allow for simpler options to notify my customers. It would also be nice to have a bit more support with their API website integration.

Thank you for your feedback. The Tracking information is included in the receipt when the shipment is created. If you select "Notify Recipient" an email will also be auto-generated to your customer once the shipment is picked up. You also have the option of setting up a Branded Tracking Page so your customers will receive a tracking email with your company logo and any social contacts you provide. As regards your API website integration we are working with both our first level and technical support teams to improve the service provided.

Pros
Quick quotes, ease of use and competitive pricing. Immediate tracking and stored history of orders for duplication.
Cons
Unable to see availability of couriers for same day pick up. You can order it, but you have no way of knowing whether it will happen. Also no direct ability to correct problems - like drivers refusing to leave a parcel without a signature, despite clear instruction to do so.

Thank you for your feedback. As regards pick-ups ShipTime will display the pick-up window available for the carrier.
However pickups are not guaranteed and the driver may not complete all pickups on the day requested.
Our best recommendation is to ensure new shipments are placed early in the day to allow the maximum time available.
For specific instructions for delivery we recommend contacting our support team at [email protected] or via chat or phone and they can pass on the instructions to the carrier concerned.

Stores previous shipments to enable faster repeat shipments, and great shipment tracking tools.
Cons
Missed / prolonged shipment pick-ups are not reported to the shipper. This information is on the manage tab, but it would be nice to receive an alert if a scheduled pickup for a client returning an order to us has not been picked up by the courier (eg. Canpar failed to pick up a return shipment for 4 days - ultimately we scheduled a non-ShipTime courier for the client to use.

ShipTime runs a report each night for missed pick-ups and you should be receiving emails with the title "Your Pick-up was Missed" with details of the shipment and how to reschedule or contact support. We do apologize on behalf of the carrier for the delayed pick-up. we hope that things are now improving following the busy holiday season.

Overall, Shiptime is a great platform for the occasional shipment which I'm looking to send via courier instead of Canada Post.
Pros
I love being able to compare multiple shipping rates in one place, plus getting access to higher shipping discounts through some of the carriers than I would get through my own account with them.
Cons
The new Canada Post integration doesn't align with my discounted rates as a CP Small Business Customer; Shiptime rates are higher than what I'd get through CP even though my discount is supposed to be linked. I also don't like the limitations on integrations. Most of my shipments come through Etsy sales, which doesn't have an integration with Shiptime so I have to manually enter the shipment information.

Easy to use, efficient, but in high peaks of use can be problematic.
Cons
The clear button needs to be moved away from the next button when we enter information. When we have a problem and create a ticket for a shipment, we are never answered with the las e-mail sent, so we always have to search what package we are talking about.

Pros
The freight quote is pretty competitive, some times ever better than I got from the carrier directly.
Highly recommended and the customer service is great, dealing with them is easier than with carrier directly.
Cons
So far so good. If I have to pick one thing might be the invoice notification feature. I got the invoice notification but when I log in to my account , there is no outstanding invoice , hope they can stop sending duplicated notification.

It’s not the least expensive as it boasts. At times some of the competition have better prices. Also some of the fulfillment companies don’t deliver directly and use 3rd parties. This is fine but I was not advised by shiptime, rather my customers

Site is awesome for entering manual orders. The auto fil search for the address is awesome and saves quite a lot of time compared to using for example: Purolator's site.
Cons
Shipping companies seem to forget about us a lot. We have to call at least once or twice a week to figure out when the company will come pick up packages. Canpar seems to be the worse.

Currently all carrier shipping rates are calculated on whole numbers which should be rounded up.
It is important to use the most accurate number to avoid carrier adjustments when the shipment is transported.

Invoicing and account lookup is limited.

Easy to get different shipping options with expected timing.

no easy quick option to stop delivery. We lost some money as we got scammed several times and tried to call but the package still got delivered.

Thank you for your feedback. As regards stopping deliveries, we do recommend contacting us as soon as possible in order to request a return to sender. Although this option is not guaranteed as the package may already be with a driver we will do our best to assist. If the stop request is sent shortly after the package has been picked up normally it can be returned once the package reaches the carrier terminal. We are sorry that you have been having difficulties reaching support. As well as the phone, we do have chat options and also you can email us at [email protected] to obtain assistance. Although we can provide some support to your customers, all changes and updates to a shipment must be approved by the account/shipper who created the shipment.

When I first started using it I called the support line often and had very good service and wait times were not long at all. I have not used the support line in the last 2 or 3 years because I had not reason too!
Pros
The ability to pick and choose between different couriers, especially coming from a small Sask. Community where pickup service is not available from all providers every day!
Cons
Some couriers do not pick up daily and this is not displayed on the software.
