Vacation Tracker was incredible easy to implement and it does its job very well. The interface is simple, but effective. And the platform allows for just the right amount of customization. It's integrations with Slack make sharing information super simple.

I wish there were some deeper customization options around setting company holidays. Creating team and approver hierarchies can also be a bit confusing if your company isn't very clearly vertical.

I love that it integrates directly with Microsoft Teams and Outlook so that employees can see everything in one application.

It is a bit confusing to navigate as there are multiple ways in Teams to request leave, see your profile, cancel leaves, etc.

This may be the first unprompted review I have ever left. I googled and found this solutions swiftly. It solved a very simple but complex global vacation and national leave challenge we had that has been crucial to our culture. Managed everything through the UX. Just generally a happy and impressed customer

It would have been mildly helpful if it could have imported more international vacation days by region, or even ranked them In terms of adoption

Vacation Tracker is simple to use, and whenever we had an issue, customer service was INCREDIBLE about addressing our issues quickly.

I wish the plans were more customizable. For example, our team needs the "Time Off in Lieu" feature for about half our staff (6 people). Unfortunately, we would have to upgrade all the way to Pro in order to get this feature. We'd be willing to pay a little bit more for just this one feature, but if we have to go all the way to pro, we can forgo the upgrade and work around this one issue.

it's important to know who is in vacation, also no over lap vacation employees at the same period

we have 1personal day per semester so 2 in total however would be good if the system stoppped user to book 2 in the same period.

Makes it very easy to manage time off requests and have visibility across departments and teams.

Would like some additional reporting, or the ability to have the date/time that a request is submitted, the name of the approver, and approval date and time of a request be included in export data.

Slick system that is accessible on Teams, mobile, web.

Time increments are limited. Email integration for making requests would be a nice addition.

I love that it integrates with Slack making it extremely user friendly and accessible to the team at any team. This was the deciding factor when choosing a PTO tracking software. Once we set it up and customized every feature, the team was able to run with it immediately.

It would be great to be able to require multiple approvals (both approvals required).

Ease of use. It makes a very mundane task much more streamlined than how we were doing it previously (Jotform with manual management by our Ops team).

Some older users have issues with using /vacation on slack, but seem to get use to it over time.

I found it very easy to set up Vacation Tracker for our remote team! Since we work from three different locations, this tool has been of great help. It allowed us to completely eliminate spreadsheets and automate our time off management. Highly recommend!

Ease of use and interface. Easy to set and make amends to the settings. The real-time visibility streamlines communication and resource allocation.

User profile and editing of leave balances of each user. Department settings will have you include the names of managers since the entire department leave gets approved by a manager.

Teams integration was key for us, quick and easy to download for all staff and support answer very quickly with whatever I need.

That some of the key features like calendar integration is part of the more expensive package, that seems like a basic need. I asked support prior to purchasing and they said it was possible but didn't mention the highest subscription.

Ease of use. There was not much training involved to get things going.

Customer support is not based in the US so can't easily call someone for tech support.

Accrual only on advanced plan. As a seed stage startup, we cannot spend on a more advanced plan right now. So I have to separately figure out how to track accrual and that's a pain

The GUI - needs to be able to set an alert that relates to company policy. e.g. if an employee applies for 3 weeks leave, but the company policy is 2 weeks leave, they should not be allowed to submit the application

It is very affordable and was easy to customize when setting up!

I wish it would allow for more than 1 integration. We chose to go with Google calendar, but would love if we could also have Slack.

Recently pitched Vacation Tracker to my company and they seem to love it! Makes leave management and tracking so useful - all for a great price! Not to mention the customer support is fantastic 😀

Available to all users not just the admin staff

Loosing the announcement feature if i chose to disable it at the begiing for proper setup

It's so much easier to book holidays. I can see how much time I have left available, and when booking can also see who else from my team has booked that time off.
