ACA Marketplace WebE is a top-notch experience

I have been involved with Marketplace since before it went live 4 seasons ago. The first year all was done directly with Healthcare.gov and incredibly inefficient and frustrating experience. The longest hold time was 7-1/2 hours, average probably in the 20-30 minute range. The people at HIM were ill-prepared and ill-trained & we just had to suck it up and deal with them.

Partway through the second year I was introduced to the ACAExpress enrollment platform and began using it exclusively. This single change cut average enrollment time by 80%!

In its present state, the only hampers on the what ACAExpress can do are the artificial limitations required by the Marketplace itself. Enrollments are now slowed because of regulatory requirements, and any direct dealings with HIM are as frustrating as they ever were. But those interactions are now infrequent & the breadth of what we can do outweighs the occasional need to talk to HIM at all.

Of particular note is the support system at ACAExpress & this group of talented and dedicated people deserves accolades much greater than I can give. Most of my support has been through email, but every contact is answered quickly (sometimes only a minute!), the answer makes sense and directly addresses the question asked, and is written in understandable terms. There are not enough good words to say about these folks. Thanks!

All told, the HIM experience is frustrating, confusing and inefficient. ACAExpress provides a supported professional platform that allows me to compare and enroll plans in the most efficient way possible. With them, we would not be doing this any longer. Thanks, ACA!

It was great. I am directy connected with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who introduced me to the platform. They were the first web broker experience. The customer service was excellent. They kept us up to date during the rough patches in the early days. I stayed with them until they were aquired by another company but had a good experience while they were there. They are in my top 3 list. If they were still in existence I would recommend them as a web broker

Pros

Great ACA client CRM. Account analytics to know where you are with your sales goals. Quicker enrollments than using healthcare.gov alone when the double redirect first became available to agents.

Cons

In the early days there was a cost to use the software. There was no PDF comparison illustration for easy plan comparisons.

Being a client for the past 5 years, i am saddened that your business/website has plummeted in quality. not being able to log into an enrollment and unable to complete an enrollment (by selecting an plan after redirect) is very upsetting. I cannot do my job! i depended on you to provide my company with a workable platform. very dissatisfied saddened and upset. shame on you Agent Express. you want to grow into a bigger market, but have left your core.

Pros

it WAS easy to use, can download your enrollments. a dream to enroll clients and easy follow up though the year.

Cons

now you CANNOT log back into an enrollment, your only option is to requote. you CANNOT add the plan to the ACA enrollment. if you contact support, they say they are working on it.

Kenny West, the ACA system, and his technical support staff are outstanding. This is one web brokerage system that works, is reliable, and the enrollment information DOES get to the carriers so that agents can get paid for their ACA business.

They are very prompt in answering emails sent to their support staff, and they fix any applications that for one reason or another are hung up.

The system is very user friendly. My only wish is that they had more online training on the use of their product.

I have licenses in many states and I trust that their system will work for me.

Because of the reliability issues I've heard about other web brokerage systema and/or the requirement with some of those other systems that you have to go into healthcare.gov to complete at least some of the application, I wouldn't ever consider use of any other system or vendor. The ACA system is fast, reliable, painless to use, and Kenny and his staff are continually making improvements and enhancements that make the system even better to use!

It was simple to use and easy to process orders.

Cons

The problem is the orders didn’t properly transmit to the health insurance marketplace causing policies to not get transmitted to the carrier.

Working with the ACA Express for the first year was a very positive experience. There is a cohesiveness to the ACA Express team that makes execution of the ACA Express platform work. From the sales department to customer service it is apparent they all have the same goal in mind--to help facilitate enrollments and assist you in bringing the "tough cases" to completion. Enrolling clients in the Affordable Care Act isn't always a cake walk, but the ACA Express is the icing on the cake as far as ease and support--even in the midnight hour of a deadline. Lastly, the agent dashboard is truly remarkable in tracking enrollments on a moment to moment basis with its real-time function. And the unique login takes the guesswork out of whether or not you will be compensated for your hard work. All in all a multi-functional software.

I am new the selling health insurance to my clients. I was self taught on healthcare.gov which turned out to be a nightmare. Too many questions, too long of a process. Plus some of the times the application was time out and I'd have to start over again. I knew that there was a better solution. I spent hours, days and weeks. I looked at the other solutions out there and I even played around with a few. But ACA.Express has turned out to be the best. Easy to follow apps. So easy that clients can self enroll. If you read the insurance forums you'll see Kenny West's name pop up. He's always eager to answer questions and his professionalism shines through. While others bash the competition, Kenny takes the high road and explains in a professional way why ACA.Express is superior. Try it out and you'll see how easy it is to enroll your clients.

Only con is not knowing where to look for answers when in front of an enrollee doing an application....

Only con is not knowing where to look for answers when in front of an enrollee doing an application. When I call the 888-668-3909 line it instructs me to send an email. I have sent the email & it was resolved quick by ACA Support, but it was not in real-time while facing the enrollee.

Example: I wrote an app. for a woman last week that was drawing Social Security (Under 65) and had additional income from self-employment (Tax Preparer). Under the "income source" tab there is an option for "Social Security Disability" but not plain "Social Security". We questioned the taxation of disability so I did not select that option. I believed I used the "Other" option to define the SS income.

Other than that the Program is out-standing! I'm learning it as I go & will definately keep using it. I was surprised at how fast my email was responded to & resolved. Great job to Kenny West!

Great Product for Agents, Super Fast, Easy - Don't go back the healthcare.gov

I thought it was not possible to shed the Governments Website, healthcare.gov, but ACA Express is an Agents Dream come true! No more Errors, or Shut Downs, No useless questions, just input your basic data, pick a plan and your done! 3-5 minuets for an agent to do! Then when approved go back in and make a payment, your done. It took 3 minuets for an approval back from the site!

If you don't think you need this, and you do ACA Business, Think Again! This system will be your best decision and investment you can make in our business, I'm just waiting for the system to work on Off Exchange Business! WOW!!!

We used ACAExpress in our call center for enrollments last year and the platform worked to perfection for us. We also found the staff to be extremely helpful and responsive to any needs we had. They basically helped us every step of the way and their platform helped us, as a new call center, have a very successful first year in business. We are also very excited about the improvements they have made and the prospect of potentially doubling the number of enrollments we can complete due to the amazing upgrades to an already great platform. I simply can not recommend this product enough. I would never consider any other enrollment platform.

Having suffered through the ACA enrollment & support process since its inception, I have found ACAExpress to be a breath of fresh air: They have developed a great tool which insulates me from many of the time-wasting, frustrating shortcomings of the government's HC.gov environment. Ordinary enrollments that used to take 30-90 minutes can now be done in less than 5. Singlehandedly, this product makes individual Marketplace sales a viable product again.

The only problem I have had is on the customer side. At times they were having issues logging in using smart phone. On my end (the agent side) I have not had any issues. Its a blessing to be able to talk to someone in person or over the phone and have a quote ready for them in under two minutes. They are shocked how easy it is. That also leads to referrals which we all like! Keep up the good work and hopefully we have many more years of success together!

2 knocks.

1. Would be great if your premiums were more accurate. Not sure how you can do that. No one I quoted was the same. 1 person was a few cents less, everyone else was a few cents more. Some people were several dollars more and I had to call my clients to explain. Feel it ruins my credibility. One person I quoted $0 and was actually $9.84.

2. Would be nice if some of your displays were darker(age, new upload). Tough for my old eyes to see grey on a lighter grey background.

I had some unexpected issues getting started due to problems with my past WBE. Not only did the ACAExpress staff make sure I was up and going quick when that other solution went down, they even helped me clean up the data that was messed up by the other company. I call that incredible customer service.

Acaexpress does just what I needed. It enrolls clients quickly in addition to helping me manage my clients.

I have now used ACAExpress for three annual enrollment periods. Given the challenge of dealing with a government agency - CMS and HealthCare.gov - they have succeeded in making agent enrollment possible. The system is intuitive to use, and it is stream lined allowing for an enrollment in as little as 5 to 10 minutes. The support staff has been attentive to glitches and attentive to my inquiries. They have earned a Five Star rating in my book.

Had to make a switch to them last minute due to issues with previous provider. ACA Express (Kenny was my contact) went above and beyond. Fixed everything and got me submitting apps in no time. Not sure why I didn't switch before hand. Now that I see their system, I can see how this is what you need if you are doing any volume with ACA plans. Kenny even fixed the issues that were my fault, without saying a word. Great work guys!

I was late to the ACA Express party, using another WBE. But Kenny and the entire team at ACA Express came through for my business when it was needed most. When others are absent from support, ACAExpress is on top of things. Great program, great support, and excellent value for the money. It's a game changer for independent insurance agents working with Affordable Care Act plans.

I have been using ACA Express since last year open enrollment and haven't had to deal with the marketplace customer service at all... typically it takes me about 10-15 minutes from beginning to end with enrollments... ACA Express has made my life easier and my clients happier. No more waiting on hold with the marketplace for hours!!!

I didn't know what I was missing out on until I got the ACAExpress software. I can't imagine doing ACA enrollments going forward without this software. Saved me so much time and allowed me to do more enrollments which in turn earned me more money. Not only is the software great but the support from the staff has been excellent as well. I highly recommend ACAExpress to all my agent friends.

When we started using ACA Express it dramatically increased our productivity. We were initially going through healthcare.gov, but soon realized their site was slowing down how many enrollments each agent could process in a day. We tried a few other 3rd party platforms with some success but nothing like what we experienced with ACA Express. Our productivity. Increased by approximately 10x. It's easy to use. Quick. I can't say enough about the customer support. The few times we've ever needed them they have been right there!

The Pros: Myself and my customers loved the fact that they did not have to wait so long to get their healthcare, which lead to them giving me more referrals.

The Cons: Get the customer service guys more help. The customer service support team you have is great but they could use extra help. I guess that comes with growth. Happy New Year!
