Using Google Slides together with the PowerPoint app for some time now, my experience has been great. Both apps serve almost the same purpose, but the online features on Google Slides make it better.
Pros
Google Slides gives me the privilege to create and even use other apps like Zoom Presentation. It has a lot of features where one can also create in offline mode and later on present online. I have been using this app for some time now and though there are other ones I use, I think for presentation, this qualifies and it is easy to use.
Cons
Hmmm, so far so good. Compared with PowerPoint, I would say almost the same.

Easy-to-Use Presentation Tool

Google Slides is very useful, quite user friendly, and a simple way to produce presentations across a spectrum of complexity. From interactive libraries of websites and videos to simple text-and-picture slides, Google Slides can do it all. An additional perk is the ability to make a copy of entire Slides presentations and modify them for personal use!
Pros
The best features of Google Slides are its ease of use, customization, integration of other G Suite products, and presentation mode. The array of options that someone can use on Google Slides is staggering; it is accessible to novices and experts in technology. Using this idea, one can really dig deeply to customize slides, creating engaging and interactive presentations. Embedding other G Suite products such as Docs and Drawings is simple, and the ability to create a looping presentation from any Slides project is a plus!
Cons
Though Google Slides are easy to approach for anyone, it is also fairly easy to get overwhelmed. The amount of options available via the toolbar is quite numerous, and this could push away users who are deterred by complicated looking interfaces and too many options.

Cons
I wish there were the ability to add equations like with Google Docs. It's hard to make presentations on research when you have less ability to format scientific and mathematical equations.

Super easy to learn, you can create wonderful presentations, inserting all types of media is easy and seamless and it is a wonderful tool available in all my dispositives that doesn't need a potent pc to run.
Pros
Collaboration between members of a team working at the same time in one file is for me the best feature because you can see live what everyone is doing and it doesn't glitch or give any problems. It is also very intuitive and the learning curve is very fast.
Cons
When you are working on a public file you need to be logged in with your own email and this information is shown to everyone that goes into the file, meaning that basically everyone can have access to personal information I don't want to give. I would like a way to hide my email in these cases. Logging out is sometimes out of the question because if the file is private it won't open.

Google Slides & Collaboration Features

Pros
The most beneficial feature in Google slides in my opinion is the ability to work with other users in real time. Once the slide presentation is shared you can see even remotely what others are adding and can collaborate by using the comment feature.
Cons
Like most software, there is a cost with Google products to use all of the Applications they have in their application suite and online storage space is limited without purchasing more space.

Overall, Google slides is a critical tool for companies needing a seamless embedded internal presentation tool for alignment. If you want beautiful visually appealing presentations use Canva.
Pros
Google slides is the most convenient tool to implement due to it's inclusion within the google suite. This means the training required across the company is minimal and the ability to share is frictionless enabling hundreds of employees to collaborate. Google slides storage is easy with search and the real-time collaboration is a plus.
Cons
It is incredibly hard and time consuming to create beautiful visually appealing presentations. We also use Canva and this is just leaps and bounds ahead of Google slides when it comes to design and ease of use. For internal presentations without design requirements Google slides is fine. Once you want to create visually appealing slides as a non-designer it becomes unusable.

Every time a company I work for uses Google Slides across the company as the standard presentation tool, e.g. during my tenure at Bananatag/Staffbase, I feel happier instantly as my day to day working on slide decks is going to be much simpler.
Pros
I liked the simplicity. Really easy to use, self-explanatory, all options I needed were easy to find. Without annoying glitches (e.g. typical in Powerpoint when used online), I'd choose Google Slides every time. It's also easier to share and collaborate on in real time.
Cons
Some options when working with images were missing, e.g. compared to Powerpoint. Not enough to prevent me from preferring Google Slides, but it would be nice to have those features added sometime soon.

LOVE it! and use it daily. It helps me stay focused and on task and helps the students as well. I can save it on a certain slide to continue the next day where we left off.
Pros
Google slides is awesome! I use them on a daily basis and have the basics set up for class everyday. Because I have multiple classes at different times during the year I am able to save the slides and use them for the additional classes with only slightly tweaking each days information. I can link videos or specific book pages to the slides so all I have to do is click the link and it takes me right there to share with the class. I can link timers in to give classes specific times to complete their work/group project time. So that the class continues to flow efficiently.
Cons
I tried unsuccessfully to add recorded songs to multiple slides. I would like to make my own slides up to songs that I teach my students without having to click the next button for the slide to change at a specific spot in the song.
