Our office was unsure about which electronic patient management software to get after a bad experience with our previous program and Practice Web was recommended to us. Learning the in and outs of the program only took a few days but we do not regret out decision to switch!

Pros

A very versatile program with ample room for customization and an incredibly helpful support staff.

Cons

The graphic design and user interface could be a little more polished and appealing.

Overall, my experience has been fairly positive. Tech support has been responsive and helpful and with help, it has been able to meet most of our needs.

Pros

I really like Practice Web Connect. We are able to communicate with patients in a way that is more comfortable and convenient for them. I also really like that we can call tech support instead of sending a help ticket. They are also very helpful and responsive.

Cons

While the software has a lot of flexibility and customization options, it is a bit difficult to know how to make the software do what you need it to, without having tech support remote in to do it for you.

Really nothing...way to many issues in using it!

Cons

Not user friendly and their training was totally inadequate to understand how to implement it into our practice!!

User friendly and not as difficult as other dental software.

Cons

texting word count limitations and the fact that the number for the texts comes out as 1-800 number; not that great in terms of the reports being accurate (like recall list)

To address your concerns, unfortunately all text message providers limit the number of letters/characters allowed to be transmitted. But we have done everything we can to make sure that our users have the ability to send the maximum number of characters allowed by the cell phone service providers.

If you find that your recall list has some inaccuracies, this typically occurs when a staff member doesn't correctly use the Recall Appointment button in the Appointment Module. Have your staff call our support team and we'll be happy to review the correct use of Recalls in Practice-Web.

I have been using Practice-web for last 5 years since I started my own practice. Every time we run into trouble (simple or complicated) the support has been great. They care about it more than my staffs. There was one time, our staff made a mistake, but the support was able to fix everything for us.

Pros

The best and simple dental practice software with user friendly interface and easy to use.

Cons

Nothing really in particular, I wish there was a chat support.

Pros

We like all the options we have when presenting treatment, and how easy it is to use for all of the staff! Also, when you look for help with anything, there are multiple ways to contact a practice web representative

Cons

As with any other program, sometimes it crashes, and opening a second app like DENTIMAX or OWANDY takes more than 3 clicks.

Pros

This Dental Management Software is excellent. Comprehensive record keeping that is easy to use.
I like how the software is set up with separate modules that are easy to use.

Cons

There are so many features that there is a learning curve that takes some time to incorporate all the potential features of this software.

Reasons for Switching to Practice-Web

Practice-Web is a open source software and allows the user to install its programs on unlimited computers without paying for each installation. It is an excellent software product with excellent customer service and support. The database is MySQL which is fast and efficient. My only regret is that I did not implement this product 15 years sooner when it came out in the early 1990s.

I enjoy using Practice Webb since its Easy to use. We use to have Eagle soft. I find that its much easier to use Practice Webb and the price is definetly much reasonable than Eagle Soft.

Cons

I wish they had the I cloud practice web when we first got the server base.

Not all tasks are intuitive. A few times customer service had to circle back to help with a problem or challenge.
